Terminus Orléans Paris

Given the comfort of the room, the cleanliness, the air-conditioning (!) and the friendly staff, this was great value for money. I stayed here almost 10 years ago, and it was a wonderful trip down memory lane to see that everything was almost unchanged, with some huge improvements (e.g. air-conditioning).

The WiFi was unreliable, especially at night. Also, they did not keep track of the breakfasts (10 euros per person) very well--they did not realize that I was alone for the two breakfasts I ate (my wife was sleeping in) and I ended up getting charged double.

The room was very good, actually great for one person, the bed was excellent and the room was cleaned every day. The staff at the hotel were wonderful, and I can say that my stay was perfect for the 4 days spent in Paris. The hotel is less than 1 min from the Porte D'Orleans metro station and the connection with the city centre and Gare du Nord (I travelled by Eurostar) is very good (direct metro line 4). But I preferred to walk every day, as the main boulevard goes directly to Quartier Latin and Notre Dame (around 45-50 min walk). I have also preferred to eat outside and, for starters there is a boulangerie (sandwich place) right across the street from the hotel. Amazing baguette sandwiches and all sorts of delicious cakes and cookies.

This hotel is conveniently located right next to the metrostop Porte d'Orleans and next to a busstop where a couple of buses stop. From here it is very easy to travel to different parts of the city. The receptionists were friendly and the hotel looked clean and nicely decorated. My room was a bit small but perfect for me alone. The bathroom was also small, especially the toilet and shower part but it was very clean and reasonable. I personally am not a fan of carpets in the room but it looked clean which is what mattered most to me. There was a tv and airconditioning, which was perfect for these hot days in the middle of August. The mattress wasn't anything special, but it was clean and I slept fine on it. It didn't feel like it was saggy. Overall, I was very content with my room. It is a bit on the expensive side but all hotels of this caliber are expensive. At least you get your money's worth with this one.

Staff were helpful, 24 hour service desk. Very close proximity to Porte Orleans metro station - easy getting around on the metro. Supermarket 5-10 min walk and lots of food options within a short walk. Window opened up for a lovely breeze. No street noise when windows are closed.

You could hear water coming through the pipes from other rooms above when they showered/used toilets etc, made for unsettled sleep - I wore earplugs which helped. Very small bin, tipped over instead of opening. No shelf in the shower so difficult to use soap/shampoo etc.

I have enjoyed my staying, the check in was easy and quick, the staff are so nice and professional they helped us with finding a parking near by the hotel. Great location as it is nearby the metro station . Beautiful view from the balcony. I would like to thank the breakfast host, a very nice lady that welcomed us in the morning. I would appreciate if the reception answer my message and send me the invoice . Thanks again and I will definitely come back.

Everything was fine! The staff was really helpful and kind. The hotel and the room was amazingly clean. Even though the hotel is not near the city centre, there are so many different types of transportation next to it (metro, tram, bus stations) that you can go anywhere!

The room was cute, and very comfy. It has its own bathroom and shower, cabinet, fridge, table and chair. The room is clean and neat, it has a TV but we were't able to use it. The location is perfect, few steps away from the Subway station line 4 (M4). There's restaurants, cafes, bakery and even Lidl nearby.

There's nothing to be honest, sometimes theres this sound from outside the hallway, but very rare. We had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Recommended.

The location was really great. The area was very pleasant and the subway station is extremely close to the hotel. The tram also goes by right in front of it. The room was clean and tidy and it felt great staying there.

We had to leave the room key at the front desk every time we went out of the hotel...to me that is a very strange fact, I never had to do that at a hotel before, but maybe I just haven't been to that many hotels hahaha

Nice, welcoming staff at the front desk, informed me about the metro line closure. The cleaning lady gave me one additional towel upon request. The hotel is located right next to a metro station, however, it does take 30 min to get anywhere. The bed was very comfortable.

The curtains were dirty. There is no shelf in the shower, so the shower gel had to be placed on the ground. The room door could not be locked, same for the safe in the wardrobe, the knobs wouldn't turn to lock them properly. The house is not soundproof, I could hear every word the people in the next room were saying, the room doors were very loud and you could hear whenever someone flushed the toilet or showered. One evening I smelled cigarette smoke. The big thing that annoyed me: You have to leave your key card at reception when you leave the hotel for the day. When you return, you just have to state your room number. No one asked for my name. So literally anyone could have walked in, requested my key card, and taken things from my room. This did not feel very safe.

The room was clean and compact. Great location and very easy to get to with the metro station only a few steps away. Check out is open 24/7 so a great choice if you're spending enough time in the city where you need to get a room, but not long enough to switch to an airport hotel. The staff spoke very good English and were very helpful. Overall great value for the money!
