Villa Montparnasse

All the staff were so friendly (and very patient with my attempted french!) Despite having two flights cancelled, there was no problem extending our stay and we even received a discount on extra night. We were made to feel very welcome and we were sad to leave. Location was good - we walked pretty much everywhere but it was very close to the metro. Room was clean and comfortable with a lovely balcony and we discovered that we could even see the Eiffel Tower! (Albeit a glimpse!) Breakfast was basic but plentiful, fresh and delicious. Would recommend and return. Thank you! X

Bathroom needs a little updating but still clean and functional. Besides, the dated decor adds to the charm!

Great area ,fun and vibrant . Great shopping streets just a block way. Easy to buy food and drinks. Fun festival of music week with bands playing in the streets . It's my pick for Paris now .We have been to Paris 3 times before . Metro down the road M4 and M6 will get you almost anywhere in Paris. The hotel is well kept and renovated in a beautiful old building. Breakfast is ample. Coffee was good too.

I'm still having trouble getting around without a map haha. Really a couple of extra days would have been good. Oh the lift was a bit slow....but you can take the stairs as they are just next to the lift.

Love the ambience of the hotel, quaint little establishment that looks historical yet hype. The staff Tina is super helpful and very accommodating. The bed is very comfortable, the location is perfect and in a safe neighborhood. Room is spacious too with great view of the neighborhood.

The key to my room didn’t work the whole time I was staying there. Tina tried to replace the battery to no avail. I think it was a system error that they didn’t get it fixed until I checked out. However the staffs were helpful enough to let me inside my room every time. A bit of a hassle though.

The kindness of the staff who was very professionnal and welcoming, the aesthetic of the place, the cosy armchairs with a selection of books in the hotel lobby, all the little attentions in the room to make ourself comfortable...and the location in the city as well with all the conveniences nearby. A very nice place to stay, thank you.

Nothing that I didn't like, it's a very nice place. Maybe should propose as well the possibility to occupy our time while waiting for the elevator which is a little bit too slow, why not a chair to sit down or something else (like a mirror ;-) ? And the possibility to have a coffee/a tea at anytime would be nice as well :-)

It’s not a big place, but cozy! We arrived earlier than the check-in, but the great receptionist Olga has checked us in right away, it was very nice after a trip between cities. Internet was good, which was strange to me as two other hotels we stayed were with terrible internet. The room has all necessary facilities you require, it small but cozy. The breakfast is standard in Paris :) Overall it was a great 1-day stay. We could compare the stay at 3 hotels in France, this one was the best! thanks

The location is very good. It is close to the metro and RER stations "Denfert-Rochereau" as well as a bunch of busses.

The room was not cleaned even at 15:00. I was not sure when was the typical time for cleaning in hotels in France but it seemed rather late.

Room: - Had lamps and switches. - There's a small desk - There's a tea kettle. Yay. Location: - Amazing. The street behind has all the food you'd want from a couple of fancy restaurants to mcdonalds; + bakeries, grocery store, local produce store, fancy wine, fancy cheese stores etc. Truly awesome location for foodies.

Room: - It's small. - The TV is not positioned where it can be comfortably seen from the desk nor bed. :/ - Bathroom windows didn't close fully, so it was cold in the mornings. Location: - N/A. It's pretty great.

The great friendliness of the reception folks made this a very friendly stay. I particularly appreciated the care that went into the rooms: the hotel has been designed to "look" like old hotels I used to stay in (in the 70's)-BUT with the benefit up all modern conveniences! Having the beauty and elegance of the rooms was something I appreciated. The breakfast was well-presented, with a wide range of selections. Needless to say, the location is top-notch.

Decent hotel in a good location near Denfert Rocher metro, just round the corner from Rue Dagerre which has nice bars and restaurants. For a short trip where you are out of the hotel more than your'e in, it is ideal.

Breakfast was a bit basic, I'd have liked a croissant or fresh baguette for breakfast.

My room was on the top floor, so I was sipping my morning coffee standing on a small balcony overlooking a typically Parisian, quiet residential street, which was a lovely surprise. All the other amenities of my little "penthouse" were as expected and I had everything I needed. The staff were all very friendly, although having a basic knowledge of French definitely helps with the conversation! The hotel has some quirky features, including a painted lift shaft visible through the back wall of the elevator, which made me laugh every time I was in there. The location was perfect - 20 minutes by Métro from Gare du Nord, convenient for destinations south of Paris and in walking distance of the bohemian area around Gaîté, which is a delightful part of Paris to explore.
