voco Paris Montparnasse, an IHG Hotel

It was a really good experience , the VOCO hotel Montparnasse. First of all, very friendly staff. I loved the cozy atmosphere. It was clean , spotless actually. I loved our room on the 8th floor. What surprised us as well , was how the sound was kept outside. There were rather noisy public works outside - it is Paris after all. But we could not here a thing inside our room. The location of the hotel is perfect. Just around the corner you have a bustling street with all kinds of restaurants and bistro's. The small metro-stop just in front of the hotel, takes you all over Paris. I have been in Paris already many times , work and pleasure but would immediately go back to this hotel again. The manager is doing a reaaly good job here with all of his staff !

OK, there is always room for improvement :-) even if it is really nitpicking. Breakfast was plenty and very delicious but maybe change like one thing every day. We stayed three nights and it would add to the ritual of having breakfast - to discover one specialty that changes with the day.... some paté, some cheese that is not part of the fixed trolley, a different way to have eggs...maybe throw in some special veggie in the morning that goes with the eggs. But hey, a big shout out to the breakfast-crew. They are legends ! Very very friendly and hard workers in an fluent and silent way.

Staff were excellent and extremely helpful. Room was clean and quiet. Brilliant breakfast well worth the extra. Excellent location with restaurants and bars metres away. Gaite metro outside the door and Montparnasse TGV station three minutes walk away.

Being a tourist for the first time in Paris, it would've been ideal to be close to hop on and off bus stops but wasn't the case here. I was with my sister and mother who is 83 years old on this trip and as the apartment I originally booked didn't quite meet our standards once we saw it, we opted to find another accommodation and voco Paris Montparnasse met what we were looking for and glad we did. We did have to compromise riding an uber to the hop on hop off bus stops but that is just something we opted to do but no means a negative regarding this hotel. If I didn't have my mother on this trip, I could've easily taken the metro. The size of the room, however, is small for 3 people but. I used the sofa bed but not the end of the world.

I really liked the location, it was near a lot of cool stuffs to see in Paris, if you take the metro. The street is close to a lot of cafe's and there is a sort of bar right next to the hotel. The location felt really safe and we could stay until late in the night. The staff were wonderful and really welcoming. It was clean, and the room was really cozy and comfortable. We slept really well and the soundproofing is good, we don't hear noises from outside. They offered us a pain au chocolate and a croissant when we checked out.

The only thing what's missing for me it's some facilities like sauna, swimming pool or like a sort of gym room. It's not really a big problem, its really for the perfection this in my opinion

Having researched hotels for a while before my work trip to France, Voco Paris Montparnasse proved to be the best choice in terms of value and what they had to offer. The room was spacious for Parisian standards, there was a nespresso machine AND bar fridge which adds to the comfort. There is a metro station literally one step away to all the sights in Paris - and shopping all along rue de Rennes, theaters, cafes and restaurants at your doorstep. Would highly recommend as a base to visit Paris! It feels like you are in the hub of all the action :)

There was nothing I didn't like. Rooms next to the lifts are a bit more noisy due to the foot traffic but not bad. Room Window was facing a cemetery which I didn't mind but could maybe not be for everyone. Cannot comment on the breakfast as I was eating breakfast at the boulangerie down the road

Our room was ready upon arrival. Check in was easy and efficient. Staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet was very good. The room was small but very comfortable and tastefully decorated. The bathroom was large and the rain shower was fantastic. Comfortable bed. Quiet room. Convenient to the train station and the metro. We were just staying overnight to catch a plane the next morning. Really nice accommodations for the money.

We specifically told the front desk to order a van taxi which would accommodate four people and some large pieces of luggage. We had to squeeze into a rather small cab and all of us had luggage on our laps as well. Luckily, the traffic was light and the trip to the airport was fairly quick. Also, this cab driver wanted only cash. We nearly didn't have enough to pay him. We felt we would have done better ordering an Uber ourselves than relying on the front desk to procure the cab. Very small complaint. Overall, our stay was great and we would stay there again. Something could have been lost in translation from English to French.

It was clean, comfortable and the air con was perfect for a hot day in Paris. I moved from an airbnb which was baking. I bought a night in this hotel on the same day that I stayed, because it was last minute it was only €120 which was great. It was right outside a metro station and a super market next door. The staff on the desk were really nice and let me practice my French with patience! My fridge want plugged in but that was my only complaint. I'd definitely stay here again

I was upgraded to a much spacious and bigger room, having stayed there before I can gladly say this room is what they should offer as a standard. Staff was accommodating and friendly as usual.

Only thing which I find a bit unsettling about this hotel is that the standard rooms are offered at a price which you would find other alternatives in the area for that same price or less sometimes with bigger space. That fact made me stay in a different hotel for a week and it was more value for money. I’m glad I did give this hotel another try after my last stay though.

Very nicely updated hotel with retro decor. Reception staff were all friendly and helpful. Beds were good and comfy. Room was small but completely functional for a family of three. Housekeeping was courteous and on time. Very close to major subway hubs and can walk to many good restaurants. Very safe neighborhood in Zone 14. Will def recommend for vacation stay in Paris.

Bathroom was not super roomy. Separate tiny toilet without washing sink. The price tag is high for an off-central location.

The metro and bus station in front of the hotel is very convenient. It is in a walking distance to Gare Montparnasse, and even though the hotel is right in front of a big street, it doesn’t get noisy at night. All the staffs were very accommodating of my requests and very friendly.

The room was pretty small, I have two big luggages and 2 small ones and even only one big luggage was opened during my stay, it covered most of the area. On the second day of my stay, there was no one cleaning my room even though the room was empty for quite a long time.
