Theoxenia Palace

Located in an expensive residential and commercial district with very few tourists , very good restaurants and bars within walking distances, I like the neighbourhood very much

30 minutes and 20 Euros by taxi to Athens tourist spots WiFi was very weak and really need to be improved

Second time here. Love the location and service is great. Clean and cozy and the neighbourhood feels safe. Good food and breakfast at the restaurant. The Spa is nice too 👌

Some parts of the buildings are a little bit dated but all the furniture and facilities we used were nice and in good condition

The location of the property is very nice. The area has lots of green greens and shops nearby also are very convenient.

May be I was expecting this in a 5 star property but the iron table and iron was not part of the room and was available on request. In 5 star properties that I have been in has this and also a electric kettle with coffee and cups which was not there in Theoxenia. I stayed for 2 weeks so for me the breakfast items were repeating and limited, but this would not be an issue for people’s staying for few day only.

The hotel is located in well known area which is very convenient, around the area there’s park, restaurants, cafe which is good for strolling around the area. They also could provide private transfer by advanced notifications.

Even though it’s 5 stars hotel, we stayed for more than 3 nights and the menu for the breakfast are same everyday. The main will be scrambled egg, sausages, bacons, fried eggs. Some variations will be needed. Also, the bed has hard quality which is quite uncomfortable to sleep.

The front desk and restaurant staff were very friendly. I loved how comfortable and bright my room was. The pool was gorgeous, large and sparkling clean.

The receptionist at the spa made me feel unwelcome every day that I entered, despite having paid for a room with spa access. However, the massage therapists were very nice and did a great job. The quality of the breakfast was on the lower side. The fruit was not ripe nor tasted very fresh. The coffee was very good though! The carpets in the common area were quite old and in some areas frayed, but for the rate I paid, I very easily overlooked this.

room was large and super comfy. big desks for work and big bathroom. very classy lobby/bar/restaurant and very private outside pool. parking was also surprisingly easy to find, perhaps because it was mid august and most of the locals were vacationing away. The complimentary breakfast was very well organized, large variety and good service even though it was buffet style.

the elevator is TINY. barely fit two people with two pieces of luggage each. very awkward especially during COVID times when 3-4 strangers need to squeeze in at the same time, without wearing masks. Also super slow to move between floors.

Theoxenia Palace is a beautiful, spacious, clean and bright hotel. The pool area is beautiful. Most hotels boast a pool that ends up being small and disappointing but this one is large , beautiful and sparking clean. My room was larger than other hotel rooms I have stayed at in Athens. The windows were floor to ceiling and my view to the park lovely. Staff at the reception and the cleaning crew were very friendly. Sofia at the restaurant was also very nice. Everyone seemed to work very hard at making us comfortable. I also had two massages that were wonderful and I highly recommend!

I paid for a room with access to the indoor pool and spa. Each time I entered, I was greated by the receptionist in a way that made me feel unwelcome. I tried to ignore this and used the indoor pool daily. The breakfast was a little tasteless and the cut cheese, fruit and veggies were not the freshest. I think this is because it is August and staff may have been on holiday.

Reception. Staff very friendly, efficient and helpful. Breakfast good selection of food. Pool well maintained and towels supplied. Room good size and storage space. Good housekeeping

Bath/shower rather antiquated. Booking.com need to be transparent as to prices and method/currency of payments. It was only when I received my credit card bill for the room payment that it became apparent that the payment was converted to euros and therefore cost me a non-sterling transaction fee. If this had been openly explained, I would have used a different card with a better exchange rate and no transaction fee.

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the reception staff with prompt check-in. The area around the hotel is great to explore with excellent shopping and restaurants. If you fancy a lazy day the pool area in the hotel is exceptional, it is very clean, with comfortable sunbeds and a suntrap. A trip to Athens center is easily accessible via the metro and only 2euro per trip. Overall the hotel and location were perfect. The best recommendation I could give is that I would not hesitate to book again.

Having to leave after only 4 days :-). Could easily have stayed for a few more days.

Location and cleanness

Breakfast was off-putting. Check out other international hotels breakfasts and apply this here. It’s was really all wrong. Not properly manned - nothing being replenished- limited offpiting selection - no one to greet you and take you at a table - really all wrong.
