Capsis Hotel Thessaloniki

Location: - 20 minutes by foot to Ferries station to reach the beaches - 5 minutes by foot to Train station and Bus station - 30 minutes by foot to White Tower - 20 minutes by foot to restaurants area and the boardwalk - 10 seconds by foot to convenience store Cleanliness: - Rooms are tidied daily. Bed sheets are changes daily. - Pool is clean and well maintained. Free clean pool towels. Good selection of food and drinks. - Friendly staff. Beds: - On the harder side by that is a good thing for the correct posture during sleep. Other: - Great selection for breakfast and a traditional Greek bakery 1 minute away by foot, baking daily pitas, cake. etc.

- A bit noisy due to proximity of the main boulevard and the air cons.

The location is super and the hotel is very nice for the value of money. Very clean and spacious.

Although I did ask specifically for parking, when we arrived, the staff told me the parking was full and that we can park anywhere on the street with the hope we won't be bothered by the police because it was Christmas Eve. I don't think this was fair and its in the hotel to find alternative spots for parking if their parking is full. i was traveling with a child.

Before booking our stay at Capsis, I've spent some time reading previous guest reviews and to be honest I was expecting to experience some of the issues mentioned (e.g. dirty bathroom, old facilities, staff not welcoming guests, apartment window that was dangerous for kids, tiny parking, etc.) but luckily we didn't have any issues or complaints, and on the contrary, everything was great! The hotel was super clean, breakfast was great, the staff is amazing, rooms are adequate for the price paid, parking is excellent especially considering how difficult it is to find a proper parking spot in Thessaloniki, etc. Staff also immediately informed me that the pool and terrace are closed due to the poor weather (it was raining when we checked in), so no surprises there. I am happy that I decided to book our stay at Capsis, and I am looking forward to visiting again. Also, I would like to say big THANKS to the phenomenal Capsis staff who allowed me to leave my car in the underground garage for few additional hours after the checkout was complete. You guys rock!

WiFi needs some improvement as connection was sometimes working okay, sometimes not.

The room was big enough for our needs. Lots of storage within the room. Both beds had a good mattress. The shower pressure was excellent. Breakfast was quite good. Swimming pool was good, no need to fight for a sunbed! Small convenience store next to the hotel and a supermarket nearby. Restaurants and cafés nearby. The train station is a few minutes away. Bus stop to the airport a few minutes walk from the hotel. We walked everywhere.

Many guests don't know how to behave and were noisy at night time or were doing stupid things at the pool. The sink in the bathroom was pretty but not so functional. There were works like at 7am in the building next door. Aircon wasn't working.

Good sized room with balcony and shower in bathroom. Room service and maids were excellent as was support from front desk e.g document printing, advice on attractions. Nice they had a bar at pool that you could also get a snack for lunch. Breakfast buffet offered a good selection and dinner at 16 Euros good value.

Did not like that pool did not open until 11.00, I travel full time and normally sunbathe for a couple of hours from 09.00. But by noon was too hot even for me, and afternoon temperatures typically 5 degrees higher than morning. was a shame as nice pool area with good loungers. Was good they had a gym, but did not like having to book a slot but popped in to check it out. when I went one of the two resistance stations was out of action, and they had free weights but the gaps meant my normal choices not available. Marked down location as very few good eating choices nearby. Indian across road had very limited menu and not all of those were available, ended up walking 20 minutes to next nearest.

The room was rather big, clean, the hotel seems to have been recently renovated. Parking within the building with easy access to lobby. Breakfast was good, European buffet with pretty much all you need.

The swimming pool closed at 18:30 on a 40 degrees July afternoon, even though it was marketed as being "opened until late into the night". This was a rather poor choice as it was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel, as we were just in transit through the city and wanted to enjoy the pool when we got to the hotel (we arrived at about 17:00, went to grab some food, came back and found out it was going to close).

Everything was great, room was always cleaned and restock water, Staff was always helpful, hotel looked great, it was faraway 15-20minutes from thessaloniki port, But worth it to take Walk, hotel had aircondition on point, breakfast was allright, excellent pastry and scrambled eggs and so much more, just outside was too hot in august up to 38 so maybe if you dont like too hot choose different month of the year, But hotel was worth it, pool on the roof was also beautiful

The room(s) were of good size for our needs and sparkly clean. The breakfast was absolutely amazing; it has been years since I have last seen such a variety in choices at a breakfast buffet. The food at the restaurant was also really good. The stuff at the reception was helpful and friendly. The price was reasonable for our room and what the hotel offered overall.

We booked at this hotel because of the swimming pool, so that our kid can spend some time there while I was at work (it was a business trip). This was no swimming pool suitable for children though as it was too deep starting at 140cm. It would have been appreciated if this was mentioned in the facilities description that the pool is not for preschoolers. The location was not great. It was a bit further away from the city centre than expected and transportation was not very frequent.

Staff was very very nice and high quality service oriented. Breakfast was also very good in content and service. we got by chance the "presidential suite" not really fitting for presidents but it was very spacious and pleasent to us mortals. Room was clean and beds comfortable.

Pool seemed like it had better days and in need of some investment. water were not fully clear and there were marks on the pool walls just above the water line. The kids didn't mind but I didn't feel tempted to go in.

One of the staff member I came morning around 11 , and I asked him that I’ve booking here he started laughing at me he told me still early while was other guests waiting behind me, he was stupid and made me angry coz he shouldn’t work in reception, he should say okay you can leave your luggage in the office and back 15 you’ll find room ready sir, not laughing at me and saying it’s early even he didn’t check they I’ve requested early check in and the hotel accept it that before I go
