Mandrino Hotel

Hotel Mandrino is in a great central location and has affordable rooms. They accommodated my late check-in and the staff in the morning was lovely and helpful. My reservation included breakfast, but there are many delicious bakeries around the hotel you could visit instead. I love that they have a luggage room you can use after check out!

The hall and my room smelled strongly of stale smoke. I arrived after midnight and was exhausted so I did not ask for a different room, so I'm unsure what they could have done if I'd asked. The bathroom was TINY and it was quite tricky to move around as the toilet was right in front of the sink. I am a small person and found it very cramped. My room was also quite noisy late into the night and early in the morning, as it faced the main street.

Location of the hotel was very good! Near the shopping street. The room had a nice size balcony! Clean. Had AirCon. Staff was friendly and nice!

The room was quite small, but okay for a 3 night stay! Lift was too small and quite slow. Breakast was not as good as we expected. Did not have many fruit options, only had a couple apples and oranges... Food selection was very small, although the place where food is server, is small, so not much else could fit in it I suppose.

They don’t have private parking as they say in description but you can use the parking nearby for 25€ per day. (15 if you stay at Mandrino)

The rooms were very clean and we really appreciated the colour and style. The pressure of the water in the bathroom was very high. In the room there were also: a mini-fridge, a safe, and among the disposable items (besides the usual soaps, shower gels, cleaning kits) there were also 2 pairs of slippers and a toothbrush+toothpaste kit. Considering how much we paid, we were really surprised and pleased with the hotel.

If I really had to find a fault, the hook for the shower head was a bit flawed and did not hold it well. But it's not a big deal, in my opinion.

Room 807 Top Floor with great view from balcony .Location was good but noisy. ALL staff from cleaners to reception very nice and helpful. Room spotless clean with nice bedding. Modern feel. Great having a small fridge in room Internet Good. Paid for breakfast but never went as lots of other choice around area so cant comment.

Single room was VERY small so was the shower cubicle, no place to store cloths apart from a small rack so room looked messy and untidy when un packed. . Air condition wasn't the best ( it was very hot outside) . I had to move bed at night under Air Conditioner at night to sleep better. Would have liked a kettle in room. Only 1 body towel giving per day. Not great when having 2 showers or more a day. Curtain round door not big enough as sunlight was in room at 5am. Mentioned to Reception only on departure as I had a eye mask.

The hotel is great for travellers who are travelling from/to the airport by public transport - the bus stop is just several meters away from the hotel. I has a sigle room which was just the right size for one person with all the expected amenities. It was located on the top floor with a balcony and beautiful views on the surrounding streets, the sea and mountains. The staff was very polite, and the breakfast was based on traditional greek products such as feta cheese, olives and Koulouri (Thessaloniki bagels). The hotel is very centric, there are numerous bars, cafes and supermarkets close to the hotel. Sofis house, a typical greek restaurant is right next to the hotel.

The hotel has just one elevator, so sometimes you have to wait for your turn, especially in the morning when everyone wants to get down to have breakfast. The hotel is located directly on a busy street, so sometimes it can get noisy during the day. Nevertheless, I had no issues with the noise during night-time, and even slept with the balcony open.

The rooms are very clean and the balcony has a nice view on the street. The vibe is great. The staff speaks good English and is friendly (helped us with public transport system information). Bed are comfortable which is rare when traveling. Location is in the middle of everything so you are never far away on foot and if needed two public transport bus stations are 1 minute away. Breakfast has options and is tasty. Overall great value for money

great hotel in the heart of the city

Very good value for the price. The staff was extremely friendly. We had some problems with a neighbour that had very loud music on at night but the staff took care of it right away. The location was great, with lots of cafés in the neighbourhood.

Unfortunately there is no parking, so we paid €15 per night around the corner. We did know this beforehand. It would also have been nice to have a double bed instead of two separate ones. The breakfast was good for the price, but would have loved some more (local) options and fruit.

I loved the room. It had a balcony and was very cozy. Good airconditioning. Room was cleaned every day. Location was good with multiple places to get lunch and coffee nearby. Airconditioning was great, comfortable beds with good linnen and nice pillows!

The doors to the hallway are pretty noisy. If you’re a light sleeper this might be annoying when people get back late. Still, it was okay for us. The bathroom was a bit smelly, probably from the shower drain or toilet drain.
