Amalia

Hotel Amalia is located in the city centre, just a few minutes walk from the Aristotle Square. Our room was quite spacious, the bed was very soft and comfortable. I liked the balcony, it has a view on the city and the sea. The bathroom was very small. Cosmetics were available (soap and shower gel). The furniture were rather old but for us it wasn't a problem. There was wardrobe, seife and small fridge. The breakfast was small and there was not wide choice: bread, ham, cheese, olives, cornflakes, orange juice, coffee, tea, cakes and croissants. But the staff was very kind, nice and very helpful! In general our stay was great, and I would choose this hotel again.

There is no iron and no hair dryer (important information if you are planning bussiness travel). It is quite noisy if you get the room from the street side.

Location is very good. Room was very clean. Stuff was very polite and willing to help.

Hotel is promoting parking what is crucial for stay in Thessaloniki if you arrive by car. Our mistake is that we didn't check, but parking is out of the hotel in 400-500m away and you need to pay extra for that. They cooperating with the parking place. In our case it was 15eur per day, regular price is 17eur per day. So, maybe you will look for some other cheaper place to stay and pay parking by yourself. Think about that. My mark (8) for the hotel is based on this parking situation, on the other hand hotel is quite good for short stay.

Breakfast more than okay! A lot of things to chose between.

Outstanding location, very very polite personnel at the hotel, ready to help you with anything you need. The room is quite small but is ok for basic needs, even though the toilet/shower are rather small (for example you barely have space to stand in the small square designated as 'shower' right next to the toilet seat). Apart from that, the price you pay and what you get at the place you get it is perfect. Mind you, only 2 minutes walk from the bus station to and from the airport (1.80 euro!).

As mentioned above, the shower is extremely small and barely has room next to the toilet. Apart from that, Everything else is ok. Breakfast could offer maybe more variety, but is still acceptable for the price you pay (5 euro extra).

The position of Amalia hotel is superb. The room was thorough cleaned every day and the people at the reception were always willing to assist 24/7. I believe that there was a definite positive benefit over cost ratio, considering the stars of the hotel.

I think everything was OK. The bathroom was not very large, but everything could be fitted inside. Not complaining really.

perfect location

Lokation is perfect, it’s near to the center, rooms are nice and clean. It’s food for both business and short stay in the city.

In description is written “free parking”, but in fact you can park free, if you find a place somewhere around, which is not pretty possible, or park in some parking in the Mall nearby, which is paid.

Very good location in the city centre. Very good value for money. The hotel is clean, with very basic facilities and small bathrooms, but the hot water is fine at all hours. For us it was perfect. I recommend.

The third bed in the three-bed room is a camping bed. This is not suitable for an adult. You can see this at the pictures, but I failed to check this properly. It is good to pay attention to this.

Stayed for 3 days here. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Cleanliness was good. Full marks to the housekeeping. Location was central and good.

There can be a kettle in the room to make hot water. There is none. Bathroom was super small. If someone is of big built, they cannot fit in.
