DoubleTree by Hilton Ahmedabad

The hotel is nice, easily accessible, has a restaurant that can cater to western kids who aren't used to spices. The room was spacious even with an extra child bed. At the restaurant, there was a waitress named Gagandeep, a special thank you to her for being very helpful and playful with my child. It made a difference.

The bathroom looked like it needed an update. It was also very small and didn't feel very clean to me either. It was a comfortable stay but certainly wasn't 5* experience.

In the post-covid days whenever we used to travel to Ahmedabad we stayed at Double Tree, since it was also an isolation centre & hence it was offered at a discount. Their hospitality & the comfort has been so pleasing that even after their tariffs coming to regular levels, we don't mind spending extra money and prefer to stay here.

The carpeting in the rooms needs proper vacuuming & cleaning.

1. The professional approach of the staff 2. Kitchen staff including Rahul the head chef, went beyond their means by preparing a couple of dishes for our needs for 'the 'Ekadasi' aspects

Three things: 1. Swimming pool decking not up to standard, (gaps in the floor-baords). 2. To keep up with the other 5 star hotels in town, this hotel does need to seek to form up a spa by having a sauna, steam room etc. 4. The lounge on the 11th floor does not have food served through out the day, (it's competition hotels does).

I've stayed here over 10 times in the last 3 years. always a pleasure coming back. breakfast is fantastic, service is top-notch, and the location is also great.

The rooms feel a bit old and dated, and could do with a refresh. The carpets, linen, etc. have a bit of a not-so-pleasant smell. The wood furniture, drawers, etc showing water damage, etc.

Resturant ambiance is good. Staff are excellent. Few of the food like Puri, Alu curry was great

The spread and south Indian taste ( Idly & dosa are very ordinary) You could have added local delicacy for out siders.

The restaurant

The concierge staff were very rude, not helpful and put the phone down on me when I needed some help I had to go down and speak to the general manager to assess on my enquiry.

The staff were efficient, helpful, and very pleasant. We were met by Kapil at the reception. He processed our booking and very kindly accompanied us to our room. My mother is infirm and elderly. He helped her to the room. Offered a wheelchair and offered to provide anything we needed.

Nothing to dislike

Centrally located, New construction..the facilities are clean, room very spacious, the shower was great, so was the bath area. The staff across property was wonderful...special mention for Manushi at the front desk & Annu at the restaurant. Good job guy's.

The maintenance could be better. The horticulture outside the hotel facing main road is barren, sprucing this area will surely make the property inviting. The seating furniture/ upholstery in the room seems off.

Staff mainly is very friendly, polite and helpful. Internet was quite good, breakfast was also good as it serves almost everything Asian and international food. Room was spacious clean and well decorated. I will stay there at anytime I will be at Ahmedabad.

I won't say I didn't like but it is kinda of recommendation or an advise, please add an international restaurant specially for dinner as most or 99% has the asian taste.

I was extremely pleased with the staff through this trip. Any concerned we had Rahul would definitely help us out, he was very kind and polite and that is what is needed on trips like this! Very satisfied with DoubleTree Hilton! Even better our fasting food was accommodated for too!
