Ramada Amritsar

Being walking distance to the major attractions of Amritsar is a huge plus. And one could soak in the local atmosphere and the hustle and bustle by just stepping out of the hotel, which is magically tucked in the middle of one of the busiest roads near the Golden Temple. We walked in to visit the temple area twice, once in the evening among the huge crowds that had assembled to watch the Diwali fireworks and again more peacefully in the morning. The room is very clean and well maintained with all the essential toilet items in place. The AC worked very well and was quiet and smooth. The shower had plentiful flow of water. We did not eat in the hotel and so have no comments on the food. And we did not interact much with the staff since our stay was very sort. But the housekeeping acted with alacrity on a missing item which is much appreciated. The check out and check-in were both smooth. The terrace has a swimming pool which we did not use due to the chilly weather but gave us a wonderful view of the Diwali foreworks around the city.

A very nice hotel well furnished, nice large atrium at the centre of the hotel. A very comfortable bed, clean room, good WiFi, tea and coffee facilities, safe, fridge etc. As would be expected the breakfast choice was largely Indian. I like Indian food but not for breakfast. For-tunately between cereals, eggs made to choice, tomatoes, cold meat, warm chicken sausage, toast, yoghurt, cakes, fruit, tea, coffee and juice there was more than enough for a Western breakfast. Its an easy 15 minute walk to the Golden Temple, daytime and even better looking at night. We didn't eat in, the hotel is more than twice the price of good local restaurants 400 metres away.

Also we needed a wheelchair for Wagah border which was arranged instantly Sandeep at the Travel desk was very helpful

Excellent location at a walkable distance to Partition Museum, shopping areas and other places. Golden temple and Jallianwalabagh are about 2 kms away. In room dining options and cleanliness at the hotel were really good. Exhaustive options at buffet breakfast that gave an awesome start to our days there.

The hotel doesn't have any place to lounge about or play with kids. So families with very young kids might find it difficult to spend a lot of time within the hotel. Check-in was a bit chaotic but no other complaints.

The hotel is well located and close to the Golden Temple. The staff was nice and always helpful. Rooms were comfortable and clean. The same day service laundry worked well too. I will definitely stay there again.

All was fine. Only that the family next to my room had really loud children who would be playing and shouting well after midnight. So yes, you can hear your neighbours quite a bit.

Perfect location to have the really important experiences in Amritsar - both cultural as well as gastronomic(!) - all within walking distance - specially for a short 1.5days trip like ours. We got a room upgrade on request from my mother. Even if the property is old, it is wonderfully decorated and maintained.

Better/faster exhaust system for the bathrooms might be considered.

Check in was a breeze. Room service was excellent. Room was clean and all amenities were in good working condition. Location is excellent . Less than a km from the golden temple. Breakfast with the freshly made tea was great. All the staff were extremely helpful. Ramada Amritsar’s my choice always.

Nothing really

Breakfast was good with a broad range of choices, many items cooked order. The hotel was nice and in a great location, close to the Golden Temple and many restaurants and shops.

No warning that there was no bar in the hotel. The hotel is within the proximity zone to the Golden Temple so no alcohol allowed, this wasn't advertised clearly in the description.

High level hotel very close to Golden Temple. Rooms are tidy and well maintained, furnitures are nice and restaurant is really good.

Receptionist as well as manager should smile a bit more with the guests. You are for sure the best hotel in Amritsar but do not forget to be polite with guests as it is always our choice to bring our money to you or not!!! Breakfast can be improved (I asked for a Cappuccino and was not available).

Location for the golden temple is ideal. The staff were polite. Food is really good. Room was clean and room service was good.

I think bath robes would be good for the room and we would appreciate international TV channels for travelers coming from far out. Internet connection isn't great. Pool area was lacking life, and activities in the hotel is limited. The outside window was very shabby then what can you do regarding fake grass and wall, maybe wall art and some real plants to make it pleasant to view?
