Taj Swarna, Amritsar

The staff had impeccable service and fantastic manners. I would like to make a special mention about the attention to detail Govind demonstrated. The lobby manager (sorry I forgot his name but I remember he was from Rajasthan and has 2 sons ) he was a pleasent man who showed extreme courtesy and asked about how my daughter was the next day. Also the managers in the restaurant were amazing, always checking if everything is OK. My daughter got a little unwell while we were there, everyone was very helpful and considerate . Food was sublime couldn't ask for more but above all every single staff member made it a memorable stay. We will be definitely going back without a shadow of a doubt . We heard some guests be very rude and abrupt with the staff however they remained professional and pleasant and showed a keen interest in the guests . Overall despite being very busy every single member of staff took time out to talk to you.

More variety in the kids menue.

The hotel is in a locality slightly outside the center, but just about 15 minutes from the Golden temple and so provided the quiet and serenity needed after a visit to the boisterous Wagha border or the noisy honk-filled gullies near the temple. We got the room we wanted (one with two separate beds even while booking such an option was not available). The room was very clean, the shower a mini-waterfall, and the AC quiet and comfortable. The only negative is that the room did not feel as plush and well-appointed as a typical Taj room. We did not use the spa services and the pool was too cold to enter, but the steam and sauna were quite well maintained and the staff set it to the required temperatures on request. The breakfast buffet had an adequate spread, the only complaint is the lack of authentic filter coffee (for a south Indian). The staff were very attentive and we didn't have to wait for anything in spite of the fairly heavy crowds. Special thanks to Vineet and Chef Ajay, the latter for taking the time to point out possible street foods we could try. And thanks to Anshula who enabled an excellent check out experience. These are the only names that I remember but I should point out that every member of the staff across the hotel, right from check in to check out, the spa, the gym, the restaurant, housekeeping and the security made us feel welcome and valued.

As mentioned above, nothing to dislike, but the room did not feel like a 5-star Taj hotel, in terms of the decor, the furniture and the lighting. The immediate vicinity of the hotel did not offer any walkable amenities, though there is an excellent restaurant just about a km away. But as mentioned above, this made the place quiet and peaceful with not much traffic in the vicinity. So, if one is looking to soak in the local atmosphere, this is not the place.

This hotel was our final destination. The ambience as soon as we walked in was amazing. We was greeted by Maanya, she gave us an incredible cup of tea & made our check-in quick & painless. The hotel was beyond what we expected. I want to thank Maanya in helping us navigate Amristar & making us feel comfortable. I want to thank Anshula for helping us with a situation we encountered. She not only reassured our concerns but corrected the situation. Thank you to all the staff member's & thier beautiful energy! I would definitely come back & highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Excellent spa, and clinginess of the property, quality of finish I felt like I'm not in India. Wonderful and friendly people of the hotel make your stay beautiful. Definitely recommending Taj hotel. Swimming pool flawless and clen.

Set Menu wasn't what I would expect. Breakfast was nice but do not recommend to choose an option with breakfast lunch and dinner included. Lunch and dinner menu is same and its more like dinner menu but staff let us choose lunch from restaurant menu without any additional payment which was nice as we could enjoy bit more of the lunch type of food for lunch. So overall even this turnout to be a good experience afterall.

Liked the hospitality and friendly and polite staff

1. At the time of the buffet breakfast, staff was very busy and were unable to reset a table with the basic cutlery and crockery...everytime something or the other was missing and had to be asked for. 2. PLEASE CHANGE THE WASH PIPES of the Washrooms in the Lobby area.... they are hopeless and someone did not do their job well. The pressure is so STRONG that anyone can end up getting wet and water gets sprayed all over the washroom. My 8 year old child got wet as the water has a very strong pressure... 3. ZERO in-house entertainment options for children... other 3, 4, 5 stars have good entertainment options for children in terms of games, entertainment room, but Taj really disappointed us. Not at all acceptable from THE TAJ....pretty disappointing

We stayed at Taj Swarna from January 30th to February 1st 2023. We were simply blown away by the hospitality extended to us from everyone at the Front Desk to the Food and Beverage service staff to Housekeeping! I would especially like to recognize the newest member in their Front Desk Team Rishav, who went above and beyond to make our stay so amazing! Rishav--on behalf of me and my family, please accept our thanks for the amazing service, courtesy and all the help that you extended to us. It is employees like you that make Taj such a wonderful property. Despite being new to the team, you made sure that we had everything we needed. Thanks for your patience in handling all our questions! Special thanks also, to Chetan at the Grand Trunk Cafe for the gracious hospitality. You amde sure we were well fed throughout! :) Needless to say, the rooms were excellent, and the location very central. We all returned home much happier with very good memories of our trip.

The Taj Swarna easily lives up to the high standards of the Taj Hotels. From check-in to check-out we had two amazing days in this fabulous hotel! The building itself, with its modern rooms, spacious lobby and relaxing pool and spa area alone would be worth a 10/10 rating. But on top of it all, the staff at Taj Swarna are just the most kind, professional and helpful people. Everyone was always 100% attentive, hospitable and amazingly friendly. A special thank you to the reception as well as the restaurant team who made our stay just perfect.

Staff friendliness and service attitude; especially Mukhtar Singh and Shubh at The Grand Trunk.

I was provided an extra bed which I hadn't asked for. I was also given to understand that it was with the compliments of the hotel. At the time of check out, I was charged for it. It was a reasonable charge and I didn't mind paying but it is uncharacteristic of Taj to say something and then do something else. It also left us with little free space in the room.

The stay at Taj was excellent. Particular thanks goes to Pankaj Kashyap. My friends luggage had gone missing between Goa and Amritsar. if it was not for the efforts of Pankaj I am in no doubt that the delay in locating her luggage would’ve been greater! The breakfast is excellent and you get a great taste of Punjabi style dishes. The room was spacious and the bed was excellent. The service and the range of dishes for dinner was marvellous. Shivam was very attentive and polite. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.
