Grand Hyatt Goa

One of the best hotel with everything amazing impression right from the arrival and till our departure. It was Just perfect. The hotel has beautiful view. The staff of the hotel are fantastic. Always takes care of its guests with a smile on their face. Ms. Sangeeta was in touch prior arrival , helped us with the early check in which we are very grateful.. she is very competent, friendly and helpful and very caring towards us. Person like her makes very big difference ,creates a great atmosphere. She personally ensured that our stay in the hotel was amazing. Nehash was very good. And all the staff are very attentive to the smallest requirements. Papu from Housekeeping made sure our room is Always kept clean.We will dedinetly want to again. See You soon Sangeeta in Poland

1. Great pools; number of sun beds provided and different lounging bed options and vistas including hammocks on the lawn 2. High security; well manicured grounds and evening fumigation for mosquitoes. Lovely lighting in the evening. 3. Plentiful supply of water in rooms and at the pool 4. Excellent fresh bakery items at breakfast and interesting dessert range at dinner 5. Comfortable rooms and balcony seating; complimentary flowers, fruit, snacks etc and towel origami and abundant replenishing of products daily 6. Convenience of location to Dabolim airport 7. Staff were friendly and attentive. Thank you to everyone including Donald, Ravi, Rajendra, Moupriya and Suchitra. 8. There are a range of restaurants; we also ate locally at Bay 15. Taxis are available through the hotel and outside the gate but travel to restaurants will cost at least 1000 rupees. There are no walkable options for variety over your length of stay. 9. The casino on site seems very popular and the sky dinner hovering above the bay looked a unique experience.

1. Poor internet which dropped in and out in different locations 2. Overuse of the QR code to access services and menus 3. Indifference of spa staff leading to non use of services 4. Poor marketing of entertainment; menu in main lobby which is rarely visited by guests after check in 5. 20% discount for meals was not deducted at departure leading to delayed check out 6. Beach location is disappointing; under developed services and aggressive local dogs 7. No discount on multiple beers in buckets from room service; large beers unavailable which reduces value for money

Superior facilities - incredible service. From the start until I left, the service and care were incredible. Attention to detail, sending fruit to the room, allowing for a late breakfast etc etc. The service mentality and friendliness were absolutely amazing. The property is well kept, spanking clean and beautiful. Excellent breakfast (especially omelettes!) and also really great dinner options. The downstairs "Cadiz" bar is a great place to meet people. All in all, a great place. When in Goa next, I know where to stay!

Can't fault the Grand Hyatt. OK, on the last day I noticed that my hotel room telephone didn't work, but I was not really using it anyway...:)

Absolutely stunning property with panoramic views of the sunset which we got to enjoy every single evening!! The rooms were good sized, with a balcony and very comfortable and clean. We thoroughly enjoyed the several pools, scrumptuous breakfasts with delicious chai and timely and delicious room service!! The staff that interacted with us was just fantastic- Ambika was very helpful and a wonderful asset to the hotel staff. Cleaning staff was great and a special shout out to Tapas who was really helpful and did an amazing job! Loved the yoga classes and spa treatments like massage and mani-pedi. I would recommend holding yoga classes on the lawns instead of the basement. The NY party was fantastic- beautifully organized with tasteful decor, great entertainment and an insane spread!

The happy hour bar was dismal. The orders took more than an hour to fulfil and we did not go back again after that one time. The Sushi at the restaurant was not the best and overpriced for the quantity. The spa seems overbooked.

The breakfast was very good as always and well very managed. The staff is very friendly and are quite attentive to small and large groups.

The service at the CHULHA restaurant needs to be improved drastically. There are lot of people who just seem to pass the orders to the next person, but very few who actually do the work when requested. Also, more emphasis is given only for Buffet, and the guests who are ordering Ala-carte are not serviced well.. we received the main course without rotis, which came in 20 minutes late, and then the food was cold, and then they took it back to warm it and then again rotis were cold. very badly managed. Needs drastic improvement.

The breakfast staff were excellent and ensured that we had our favourite meals as we sat down. LIkewise at lunch time and the staff at the pool side restaurant. We couldn't have been better looked after. Sangeeta though was star of the show. From before we arrived she made sure our every wish was granted and organised everything perfectly for us - from our airport transfers to treats for our kids. She is briilliant - so professional and kind. Massive thank you to her!

This is a beautiful, huge property with plenty of guest houses. Since we were traveling with a baby, the staff were kind enough to offer us an upgrade to a room that was close to the main building. The best thing about this place is the staff. Everybody was kind and helpful and was ready to go out of their way to make our stay comfortable. We enjoyed the long walks along the beach and on the well maintained lawns. We also made full use of the creche area and our kid enjoyed playing with the toys a lot.

A few things for the property to improve upon: 1. The rooms have wooden flooring and makes a lot of creaking noise when you walk on it. This was not good for our baby who had a hard time going to sleep. We eventually had to tip-toe around the room after the baby was asleep. 2. The shower/bath area is designed such that water will leak out through the door into the common area and floods the dry area of the bathroom. It was very annoying.

The hotel was absoloutley amazing. At arrival we got two coconuts with a straw on which the hotel name was inprinted. A buggy took us to our room. We got upgraded to a sea view room. The room was amazing and the grounds were even better. We felt like home. Beautiful gardens, the spa was very big and our massage was just superb. The food was a 10 out of 10. Especially breakfast. Better than any hotel we have ever stayed in. The really go the extra mile. When booking at home we decided to split our stay with another hotel (Taj resort and convention centre) but we regretted it. Would have liked to stay there during all of our time in Goa. The staff so soo nice and attentive. Riya checked us in and made sure our stay is perfect. Manoranjan, Rohit and Sanjeet from housekeeping surprised us with some towel art and cleaned the room to perfection! And Rajendra and Om gave us the best breakfast experience ever. Very attentive. We even got a little cake as a goodbye gift.

The staff were outstanding! Deepmala upgraded our rooms, even before we landed. She ensured we had a great stay, till the very moment we checked out. We were pampered with non stop goodies which seemed never ending! She leads by example. Gabriel was a rock star! He was super helpful, patient, empathetic and understood our exact needs. Got us loads of coupons for the activities on site, settled us in our rooms and ensured all our little needs were catered to. He is the man who understands customer service. Arijit was a hidden gem, who pampered us at the Café. He took personal charge of our little kids and ensured all of our taste buds were satisfied! Way to go Arijit! And there were many more who’s names I do not recall, yet they worked tirelessly to ensure that we had an unforgettably pleasant experience at the Grand Hyatt Goa.

Nothing specific.

This property is unique and located in secluded area, everything you need is nearby at the hotel. There are wonderful restaurants with different cuisines, I personally liked the Verandah restaurant with Italian cuisine. The pool is divided into two areas, with warmer and cooler water which is good if you don't feel like getting into cool water immediately. During our stay the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially manager Mridusmita.

The only thing that really turned me off was a wedding going on at the property. It was too loud and inconvenient, so if you consider going on relaxing vacation to make the best of your time, make sure to ask beforehand whether they are preparing another wedding or not.
