The STAFF! Their empathy and desire to make things right was excellent. Without that, we would have been very unimpressed, but, they really were trying hard to make things better for us. The location was conveniently close to the beach and quite a few lovely places to eat and drink! Once we got the room we had seen pictures of, it all became much better a proposition but that's only because a room became available, luckily. Again, a Great Big THANK YOU to the Staff!!

1st floor sunrise view room without a view (1st night)... Too firm matress, only 1 towel each, no flanel, no bathrobes, no hairdryer, average breakfast... Definitely not a 5 star hotel, a 4, perhaps. In a 5 Star, all the above is granted. We're well travelled and always book 5 star hotels as a treat. This wasn't a treat. The 2 bad pictures of the outside our balcony view on 1st night (Hotel was full). The following 3 nights were as per their website pictures.

Room size, facilities, proximity to the beach, staff's attitude

Upon arrival I could feel the room was not ventilated and I needed to open the terrace door so that some fresh air can get it. Yet, the terrace door at my room did not have a net against mosquitos and as a result I couldn't sleep well since I needed to stay awake to protect myself against the mosquitos. This was the only unpleasant part regarding the room experience. I also had a massage which was great! I was a little bit surprised to understand that the price mentioned in the leaflet was without taxes so upon payment I needed to pay almost 1000 rupees more for taxes. It would have been nice to have that mentioned/communicated that better.

Friendly staff and lovely clean rooms. Great view from the balcony. We loved the little cake they brought us for our honeymoon. Spa was nice, and basic gym was good. Fantastic breakfast options and spread.

Breakfast was advertised from 6.30am. We went at this time one day as we had a flight to catch. However, it wasn't ready. As we were leaving around 7am, most of the breakfast still wasn't ready. They shouldn't advertise for a certain time if they can't stick to it - we'd have made alternative arrangements, had we known. Local beach didn't have much going on - very basic, quiet. Service in outside areas was a little slow.

What a fantastic hotel. Greatly exceeded our expectations. We struggled to choose accommodation in Goa - there are lots of options at varying price points. We are SO glad we chose the Holiday Inn. The rooms are just excellent, comparable with a 5 star hotel in a capital city. We were upgraded to a pool view room. The beds are comfortable, bathrooms big and the rooms are very quiet. The breakfast is extensive and delicious. The pool area is lovely. The gym is well appointed and air conditioned. The location is good - beaches & tourist sites in walking distance, and some lovely restaurants very close by. To top it off, every single staff member is exceptional. So helpful and kind, always a big smile! The staff helped us arrange some activities and were always available. When you consider the price point as well… great value for money. Strongly recommend!!!

The location is good, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The hotel has a new fresh feel to it, the room furniture / utilities are all new.

The larger rooms were not very different from the standard rooms - there's only a difference of having a tub in the bathroom. The food from the restaurant could be improved.

Property, Cleanliness and Staff. Observed three of the staff members was differently abled, hiring and using them upfront was commendable. They deserve a salute for that. We were here on new year's eve and thereafter, staff was putting there heart out just for guests comfort and leisure. Would like mention Mr. Raghunandan and Miss/Mrs. Prachi for there real polite and helpful approach.

Just recommend to hire Professional DJ for new year's gala dinner. DJ was not bad but could have much better as in reference to the hotel standard. Scope of improvement in the organisation of gala dinner like few tables were almost isolated from the event. Also recommend to have kids playing section or room.

The hotel was very well located in central goa and they provided all facilities relevant to our stay. A nice upgrade with Sunrise view, good variety of breakfast, nice pool and great customer service. During check out even provided us a membership offer as well.

The initial booking confirmation was a bit confusing as they requested for pre-payment which was not necessary. We also requested a small pastry cake from the in-house bakery which was very bad and seemed like an outdated piece of cake (so double check before you order)

Breakfast was tasty and had a wide selection. Eggs were made to order and were great. Non veg , fruit and salad were good. Filter coffee was excellent. South Indian food was good. Fitness center and swimming pool was good and well maintained. Parking facility was convenient. Rooms were big and bed was very comfortable. Very clean toilets and we'll maintained common areas.

Fresh juice options need improvement in quality. Poori quality needs improvement. Can reduce the processed meat options and opt for fresh cooked non veg.

Location is very good & although it's not a beach property, the beach is just a short walk away. The staff & the hospitality shown is on par with any 5 star hotel. Very clean and well maintained hotel. The staff at the reception and the restaurant are very efficient, professional and friendly.

Pool is a bit small and right at the entrance of the hotel. It would have been nice if the hotel had one more speciality restaurant because it gets boring eating in the same restaurant all the time. Buffet was good but not very exciting.
