Taj Club House

1. The property is located at the best possible location. 2. Though its location and general demeanour is fit for business executives, I saw a lot of families - some for the Marghazhi music season and also marriages. 3.The front desk, General assortment of food in the main restaurant, The local classical music to coincide with the music season, special Santa act of X’mas was quite noticeable and appreciated 4. It was a nice gesture to have sent a piece of cake to celebrated arrival of the new year ( to every room)

1. General upkeep of rooms does not pass the acid test of Taj properties ( having seen nice properties in Madikeri, Kovalam, Rishikesh, Udaipur - though are leisure friendly) 2. Non-smoking floor is also used by some guests as smoking rooms. A disservice to those guest who believed Non-smoking means none could smoke 3. Staff are good and ready to help, but lack professionalism at all levels. When guests are pampered in other Taj properties, one felt the service is a matter of fact, in TCH. 4. Loud Voice gets carried to next room, and also the New year crowd to one of the restaurants went bonkers!!! ( Not really negative, as we have past our prime!)

Stayed here many times. This January 2024 twice;8 to 11th and 29 to 1 February. The food and bar superb. Truly excellent quality of food Room cleaning 5 star

The reception. Most employees lovely with the exception of one lady who would not book airport drop in advance nor allow me to pay my bill in advance. I found her unnecessarily obstructive. Beware dynamic pricing. Our second stay was hugely more expensive than the first because of demand!!!

Wonderful experience! The room was a bit smaller for my expectations. But it was clean, had all the facilities one would require - starting from a good king size bed to the TV, AC, mini-refrigerator, cupboards, 24/7 hot water, pressing/ironing boards etc. From the time we entered the hotel, till the time we left, everyone from the reception to room service and the securities had a pleasant smile on their face and were so welcoming. Special mentions - Shrusti, Gayatri, Nikita and Srini were awesome! My 5-month old daughter who refuses to go to the arms of even some relatives, readily put her arms out and asked for these 3 executives to carry her. She never wanted to leave them. And we had to forcefully take her away from them to not have our child disturb them in-between work. A baby knows nothing. But if they were able to get along with her that instantly, you can imagine how good the hospitality was! Also, this was by far the best breakfast experience we had among the hotels we have visited thus far in Chennai.

The rooms could have been a bit more spacious, at least the restrooms.

The property was centrally located and provided good connectivity to all of the other locations that we wanted to visit. Staff were extremely polite and made our stay very comfortable. They went an additional step and accommodated our last minute requests. Appreciate the hospitality.

One of the reasons for booking the property was because we had heard a lot about the in-house club 'Blend'. Unfortunately we weren't able to experience this since it was closed during our stay. The breakfast service seemed very busy possibly because they had a group occupying the property.

We were traveling with a toddler(2yr old) who had his own demands, but the Taj F&B guys had us covered every time we wanted Milk or anything for our boy. The people at the reception specially Ms Sristhi was very welcoming, courteous and helpful with getting us comfortable and good room , giving us housekeeping services at wee hours of the night and arranging me a medicine for my allergy on the day of my arrival. 10/10 The gatekeepers like Mukesh, Pandey always smiled and received us with a warm smile and helped us with our bags and spoke to the car drivers whenever needed to clarify about the location. 10/10

The deck around the swimming pool needs renovation as the rooftop area with the swimming pool is good to spend some time with your loved ones

Food, Location and the Friendly attentive staff. We had a very nice enjoyable stay at the hotel. Breakfast was amazing we really enjoyed the delicious indian food. Dinner at "Beyond Indus" was a great experience special thank to "Rahul" he is so warm and hospitable. Food there was beyond our expectation. Room I can say is average for a five star standard but nothing wrong it was clean and comfy. Location was very convenient express avenue and spencer plaza malls are just walking distance.

Getting a taxi

Overall, the staff is excellent, but the only issue is that the communication is not extremely beneficial. Although the terms and conditions are provided there, the receptionist must additionally obtain some basic information.

Rooms are not private; for instance, I believe they have a second key for each room, which they use to enter under an excuse of cleaning, touch our personal stuff, and leave us with a very negative impression of the hotel. I didn't speak to any staff members there because they weren't very well equipped to handle the matter because they personally touched my personal belongings, which is intolerable..

Was really impressed by the customer centricity. I had to push my checkout date a day early due to a change in plans. After some hesitation due to company policy which didn’t allow them to do so due to the booking being made from a third party website, the gentleman from accounting/revenue team (wasn’t able to get his name unfortunately) agreed to do the change to ensure that I had a good stay during my first experience with Taj. Shows their willingness to be flexible for customers.

The room could have been cleaner, better maintained. The service was sometimes slow, we had to call multiple times for some requests.

Very pleasant and helpful staff. Clean, bright and comfortable room. Very attentive staff in the dining room.

There were several dishes which were required to be kept hot but other than omelettes, dosas and iddiappams and accompanying stew none were; I think that this is because cast iron utensils should not be used for this purpose. Plus, the lids were very heavy and somewhat difficult for guests to handle. Also, the Amul butter cubes need to be kept on ice and not next to a hot source which results in the butter melting to half its size in its packing.
