Novotel Chennai Chamiers Road

1. Senior staff Khushboo, Prabhakar, and Pravin are very committed. They took care to intervene personally on every issue and also arranged a really memorable evening ! 2. Housekeeping staff are marvellous! Special mention of Payal is required !

1. Vegetarian menu is hopeless. People don't come to South India, especially Chennai, to eat paneer and aloo jeera. 2. Saturation level usage of garlic in every Vegetarian dish, without a thought as to whether there is a need. 3. Staff have English language problems 4. Staff can be better groomed 5. Establishment seems to cut cost on trivial items while charging premium prices

Great food in the restaurant. Super comfortable room and the hotel overall has a great feel. The rooftop bar has nice views of the city and is great for sunrise. The staff were friendly, especially the room cleaning attendant and the rooftop bar staff. Lovely big window with lots of natural light. Lovely bakery products at the coffee shop in the lobby.

The windows could’ve done with cleaning (lots of presents from the birds on them). The shower door was a bit broken so didn’t close properly. The TV was too old a model to accept screen share / streaming from Apple devices via Airplay or Miracast. Pool is quite small although very pretty.

Excellent Breakfast choices and varieties mix of both Indian and continental with superb Pastries which were the highlight of Breakfast. Friendly and very accommodative staffs i.e. Lokesh was very helpful and attentive. The Managers too. Lovely breakfast to look forward to first thing in the morning. The staff handling baggages i.e. Bell Boy and team were very helpful and efficient in helping out with the luggages. The overall stay was so satisfying, comfortable and exceptional service was creme de la creme!

I loved the interiors and how well the property has been maintained. I managed to get a great view of sunrise from my room and the room by itself was very spacious and comfortable. The best part of my stay however was the buffet breakfast. From the dining room decor to the variety of the spread, it was all amazing. The puff pastries were to die for, specially the chocolate croissant. The South Indian fare was top notch as well with the Pongal being melt in the mouth and the Vada perfectly crisp. They had a live Dosa counter as well. I must mention that all the staff were extremely warm and courteous and made the guests feel welcomed and at home.

I thought that the filter coffee although good could be a tad better.

The people were especially warm and good. Jyoti from Guest Services, Vivek from Food Exchange, Ankit from the coffee shop below, all were so genuinely interested in making our stay pleasant. We will probably return to stay here only for these amazing guys at Novotel.

I think the hotel inflates the price of wines by almost 5-6 times the MRP. A little increase is understandable but we are not sure if everyone does that in Chennai. Though the food is really good in South Indian, yet some other dishes are not good. For example, the pizza was just not cooked evenly on all sides, and felt like eating a raw base. The toaster is not automatic and it keeps burning your toast at the breakfast buffet.

Some of the staff are not not nice us and even small help they refused and that was a big disappointment After that they stayed in Rain tree ,they are very happy to help with anything ,especially you come from abroad spend some time there we should feel comfortable and satisfied but that was not there

The hotel Novotel is very nice, comforts, very near to Chennai Metro rail station. Hotel is neat and clean. staff members are very friendly and co-operative. Especially Ms. Jyoti Verma, Executive was wonderfully arranged for my comfortable stay. My Special thanks to Ms. Jyoti. Only front desk receptionist delayed my check in. food was very nice taste good varieties also. Rooms is spacious. Bath room also good. The linen and towels to be kept fresh one. In some other five star hotel linen and towels are washed in such a way they appear as if a fresh/new cloth. the laundry process is like that. In this hotel also can follow up the method. Over all good hotel for the value of the money.

Rooms are comfortable and relaxing. I loved the location as it is about a 5-min walking distance from the nearest metro station (Nandanam) which makes it very convenient to commute around the city or even to the train station & airport. The beds are very comfortable to sleep on

I got some of the breakfast items which I ordered in the kitchen very late. I also felt the juice options in the breakfast were very limited and hence I'd recommend increasing the number of options

Firstly, Novotel never disappoints. We stayed at Novotel for 2 nights and it was great and super comfy. I specifically loved their bathroom, all and all it was amazing and brilliantly built. The hotel was situated at a prime location close to many hotspots like T-nagar, which had Potys and Saravana. The staffs were so cordial and welcoming, it would diminish all your worries and complaints, if you have any. The breakfast spread was amazing and had so many varieties to choose from. A small tip, if you like egg and cheese please order their scrambled egg with cheese, from the egg station, I think I had one of the best scrambled eggs there at Novotel Chamiers road.

We booked 2 rooms and I was given an interconnecting room and as a result I could hear everything from the other room and at first it was a bit scary as we suddenly heard someone groaning in pain in the middle of the night. Later we got to know an old man was staying in that room and probably he was sick and it wasn't just them making sounds we also made sounds as a result they also asked as to keep quiet. Anyways, I went to the reception to ask them to change my room and even though the hotel had already so many rooms already booked they changed my room within 15-20 mins and on the same floor because my parents were on that floor aswell. And they also left a box of macarons, which I felt was a very sweet gesture from them and yes the macarons were heavenly

The reception , Food ,Service ,Behaviour ,also professional ethics all followed . Love the suite. Thanks @jyoti and team for this made me happy as my Mrs and Nephew were so happy . 👍. Also my two khasi friends from Shillong who are part of Novotel Chamiers . have met at the hotel . The terrace restaurant was awesome and all the staffs were so helpful and supportive . Good music and also Nice food alongside my nephew enjoyed alot in the pool . Now Meghalaya ( The abode of clouds ) is near to Chennai . Thanks to everyone from the day we check in till check out all were so helpful . Without mentioning the name of many . God Bless u all .
