Hotel Ajanta

 The hotel has a very nice restaurant attached. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. all in all it had a good atmosphere.

The Room was not clean. They were has on the bedsheets and the floors and surfaces were not clean. But compared with other hotels in India and especially in daily it was OK. But our room was supposed to be 21 square meters and it was maximum 16 m². We complained about that but the manager told us that that was the room we had booked although booking.com stated clearly the size of the room. They did not give us a bigger room, nor did they give us some refund. 

This is mostly my choice during my Delhi visits. Also tried some other but always come back to hotel Ajanta.. Breakfast buffet very good with changing options, enough Indian food as well. The Paneer Ajwaini was too good. Location good, walkable distance to Connaught place area, Janpath and New Delhi railway station Many cheap and good food options nearby as well Bhajans from the mandir opposite of the hotel Staff friendly and helpful with everything Laundry service excellent and in time This time I stayed twice in the hotel, at the beginning with pick up from the airport and at the end (although the second stay not booked from booking.com) Superiour room was better than the suite room

I transferred to this hotel from another one down the street. After one night here, I requested to have my stay extended 5 more nights - I am so glad I did! The location is good, the was good, but by far the service was over the top! The staff and especially the manager went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed. Rashid knew I was traveling alone and took care of my travel needs like a brother, to ensure my safety as well as enjoying all the sites in Delhi and surrounding areas. The room attendants were proactive in ensuring I was stocked with everything that i might need. The restaurant is fabulous! I tried several new things each day everything was delicious! The food is freshly made and the quality stands out. Next time I’m in Delhi I would love to stay here again & will highly recommend it to everyone.

I booked Hotel Ajanta in Paharganj / New Delhi via booking.com. It was confirmed immediately - paying at the hotel. I stayed 3 nights in Ajanta. The location is good, near New Delhi Railway Station and near the central market. Also the city center is near. The front desk lady was very kind and later I could talk withf the manager Mr. Amaan who is very concerned about the well-being of his guests. My room (204) had a large double bed with good mattress. And this room has a balcony to the busy Arakashan road. But the glass door to the balcony had double glass pane. So it was not at all noisy. The room has tv, a desk, separate table with old style chairs, AC, fan. There is a water cooker, tea bags, instant coffee, The bathroom has a seperate shower. Soap, shampoo, toilet paper - everything as it should be. The best of this outständing hotel is the restaurant. Very polite waiters. Buffet brakfast for 320 INR. Rich thali for 400 (chicken) or 375 (veg). The restaurant offers also very good cakes (blueberry cheescake!) and espresso/capuccino/masala tea. It will be hard to find a budget hotel like this even though the room rates are on a limit for a budget hotel.

Guests who are sensitiv to noise should not take a room on the street side. On tv it was hard to find an english program. Arakashan road can be very busy even night times. The room rates could be a bit lower for a budget hotel. I payed 3,300 INR / night (including taxes).

The well looked hotel in the middle of the area which can be uncomfortable for the first time visitors. The hotel has a restaurant were the stuff is super nice , the food was tasty and no digestion problems after it . The stuff is nice they didn’t ask for tips on every steps .You can buy excursions in the hotel lobby as well . The airport transfer to the hotel really worked - the driver was awaiting us in the agreed time with no extra payment . The room had two really big beds

Clean and comfortable hotel in a small street in which there are countless other hotels. Hot water available in a clean bathroom. Comfortable bed. A rack for suitcases. Spent 2 nights and was satisfied. There is some street noise but it levels off after 9 pm and it is quiet at night. Moreover, the windows are well insulated. The staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel restaurant serves a good breakfast buffet for 320 Rs. Lunch and dinner also available. The area has been characterised as bad in other comments but the street is just a typical Delhi street with a mix of different people. Not bad at all for the experienced traveller to India.

The woman who checked me in at the front desk in the afternoon was super, very knowledgeable and quite helpful. She arranged two vehicles to take us to the airport. In general, staff was quite helpful The rooms had a lot of character with nice decor and were comfortable. The place had a lot of soul to it, and was well located.

While the staff working on the floors of the hotel were nice and helpful, they seemed to not always be knowledgeable about hotel policies. For example, they had to inquire about laundry pricing. One of our rooms was a bit dark, and had a bit of a smell, perhaps it was formerly a smoking room, though it appears that the hotel is converting to non-smoking (a good thing)! With some renovations to freshen things up, the hotel would move from very good to spectacular.

I stayed for 3 nights in this hotel and I’m really impressed and satisfied with all. Room was clean, Bathroom was super clean and there were hot water as well. I bought all of my meals from there and it was super delicious and matched to my budget. The staff was super helpful and polite. They helped me a lot to find a taxi to me to go to the airport at 1am. with all of these points, I recommend this hotel to anyone.

The location of this hotel was quite busy and there were some terrible traffic in the roads.

Had a positive experience with Mrs. Gunjan at the hotel reception! The hotel was excellent, especially the suite room was spacious and immaculate. They have provided airport pick- up which was very helpful for us. The female staff were immensely appreciable for their service and guidance. Housekeeping staff were quite responsible. A very comfortable family stay during winters with all the amenities. The food was good.

They should concentrate on the doormats which were a little bit dirty. They have provided a clean one after asking.
