Hotel Ritz

Good rooms, big, with wardrobe, big window, table, very big bed and shower, nice bathroom. Very comfortable beds! For longer stay u really have place to collect all yours things in good organization. Very tasty Indian meals in restaurant, I recommend to get delivered it to the rooms. Once we ordered some sandwiches as a breakfast and it wasn't too good, but dinner and supper meals were really ok. Fridge was working very good. Personel was helpful. Meals and drinks ordered in hotel u can pay at the end of trip by cash or card.

Some dirt in bathroom, especially at the crashed phone, it should be replaced by something new. Also hotel should provided one small bottle of water per person everyday, at the whole stay we get half of this waters. The worst part of hotel is area where it is, one of the dirtiest part of Delhi.

The hotel service was excellent. The staff were willing to help anytime. We ordered a late night dinner and coffee, which was served promptly. Clean, quiet and comfortable. The room came with a walk -in wardrobe space, wall mirror, a partitioned shower area and dry area with a hair dryer and all necessary supplies. The room heater was my favorite bit in the December weather.

The kettle used by previous guests was not replaced.

I spent a week at Hotel Ritz, the breakfast had a variety of delicious Indian and Western offerings, the room was super clean, a great spacious shower with hot water, and the cherry on the cake was the beautiful view from my room of a tree covered in beautiful pink flowers, with little sunbirds flying around. I liked that the AirPort Express Metro Line is within walking distance, even if you have to go through a very busy train station, it can be a little confusing to find the overhead footbridge that goes over the train tracks, but that shouldn't put you off!

I have no complaints about the hotel's structure and the staff, who were very kind. However, the location is terrible, essentially in the midst of a slum. While it might be a safe area, arriving at the location can be unsettling. I understand that this is a local reality, but even coming from an underdeveloped country, I was taken aback by the neighborhood.

The location, while hosting many hotels, is essentially a slum. Unfortunately, there are only a few affordable hotels in Delhi located outside of slum areas, mostly in the Delhi Aero City near the international airport.

I had already been a guest of the Ritz hotel at the end of another indian trip, 4 years ago. And I came back there because I read my own review here, which was enthusiastic (I gave it a full 10! I don't think this has ever happened to me with other hotels). So, I'm happy to be able to say the same thing this time too: the Ritz hotel is THE BEST hotel that a medium budget traveler can find in New Delhi. Less than a stone's throw from the train station, from which to depart to get anywhere in India, and above all from which you can now find the very convenient metro line (Orange) that connects NewDelhi to the airport from which you will probably arrive and depart! An invaluable advantage. Ok, the area is that of the station. And yes, the street where the hotel faces could impress you arriving in the night. But I've never had any problems, all the streets near the station have that scruffy look. And as soon as you enter the hotel lobby you will understand that you are in a safe place. This time too, I arrived at absurd time due train delay, and was welcomed with the usual kindness (and the welcome complimentary bottle of cold water). Check out was also very early in the morning, but I always found someone present at the desk, always professional. Notable note: everyone here speaks excellent and comprehensible English. The room is still as I remembered it (and the furnishings do not seem to have suffered neglect after these years, everything is clean and well kept). Mini fridge in the room (!), and boiler (with cups, and some bags of tea and instant coffee). Wifi worked very well. The same veeery comfortable bed+pillows, and the absolute-best-bathroom I ever have found in India, even with attention to the lighting, and above all the huuuuge shower (with glass!), always very hot water, and very strong pressure. For smokers, there is a common roof terrace, always accessible.

Everything was perfect as always.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The hotel itself is in a quiet side alley very close to all the hustle and bustle of New Dehli. A real oasis of calm, from the moment you step inside you feel like royalty, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are all wonderful people. Our room was perfect, a really comfortable bed with a duvet, aircon, kettle, tea and coffee, tv. The bathroom was clean with a fabulous shower. The service here is fantastic. We will definately stay here again when we come to New Dehli. It is a couple of minutes walk from the railway station and close to all manor of shops, restaurants and street food.

Super friendly and helpful staff, Indian style breakfast with freshly made pancake or omelet, we felt safe walking in the area, staff helpful to arrange Tuk Tuk for fair prices. Near (with Tuk Tuk) to direct metro to/from airport. Good shower with warm water. Our bed was soft but not too soft. Diner possibility (incl. room service), hotel is in quiet area near to the crowded areas. Freshly washed towels on request. ATM at the main street around the corner. Large and clean room with refrigerator.

Towels and bed sheets were washed but not free from stains and wear (did not bother us), you could get disappointed when you expect European style breakfast, metro not on walking distance. No daily service to clean room or towels

The location is near by a local market and the hotel entrance is in a narrow alley and the surroundings have a lot of accumulated garbage

The hotel is in middle of Delhi, very approachable. Good staff, prompt service, all time hot water with clean bed sheets and bathrooms. Very comfortable stay at a very reasonable price. Many people complained about the small street where the hotel is located but frankly it's not that bad.

Not very important points, but they can improve by providing hand towels, shower caps and other toiletries like paste, shaving kit etc. Also the travel desk is very costly and do not negotiate. You can easily get travels arranged at much more reasonable rates from outside, avoid using hotel travel desk.
