Hotel City Empire is in a central location in btn Paharganj and Ram Nagar, walking distance to New Delhi R.R station. The nearby streets are filthy and almost always packed with ppl coming and going, loads of dhabas filled with customers and this is the “charm” that attracts me time and again to book a room in this area. Its central location makes it easy to travel to most tourist destinations by bus and metro. The hotel owner, hotel manager Mrs R, and the staff work really hard to provide a safe, clean and peaceful environment. Rooms are tiny but cost is fair and economical whereas service is top notch. Sheets were crisp and clean and bathrooms are newly renovated, hot water for shower provided which is appreciated during winter season. I was given a room without windows which was great cause I slept well. I enjoyed my stay here and as a female solo traveler felt safe and would definitely return. Staff make this place special. I hired an auto rickshaw driver to take me around the sites [ Sometimes at ungodly hours (Bangla Sahib Gurudwara for 02 am service)] This driver arrived for our first arranged pick up dressed to the T. More attention could be used to removing stains off the walls or touch up with paint.

Absolutely loved my hotel, everything was great, clean sheets, hot water in shower and food was stunning and cheaper than some other places. I travelled solo and Ranjana and her team were so helpful, booked me a driver for 2 days in Delhi and I had time to explore the whole city. I really enjoyed my stay and I will be back. The plus is that the hotel is 5 mins by walk from train station which is handy if you take early train as me.

I loved everything in the hotel, but people must be aware that the area is not the best in Delhi but it's the highlight of being in different country and see the real life

The location is good near the train station. You can go to Delhi's main attractions within 15 min, including markets, Connaught place, India Gate, Humayun's tomb, and Akshardham temple. The breakfast was nice and with good variety

The cheapest rooms are small and without windows, but they were clean including towels and a toilet kit. Still, I will recommend improving sheet cleaning.

the hotel is easy to reach. just 6mins from delhi metro station. the room is clean, the hot shower is good & the staffs are really helpful all the time during my stay. they exceed my expectations. help me carry my big luggage to the room & provides great hospitality. they even allow us to keep our luggage at the hotel after we checked out as we wanted to have a delhi tour on our last day. thankyou Mdm Ranjana & her staffs for making our trip as comfortable as possible :)

the heater in my room is not hot enough. staying during winter is quite difficult as it gets cold during the night. if youre coming during other season this might not be a problem

The staff were very helpful and courteous with excellent service. They were always available on call and eager to help in whatever way we needed. Even volunteering early morning tea before their kitchen opened as we had to leave early. The food was delicious, tasty and neither too spicy nor bland. The property is very well kept, neat and clean.

The room was very small. That's probably to be expected given the location and price, but it still took us by surprise. The bed was also too small to sleep two adults and a child. It's perfectly fine though, for a single person or a couple, provided you don't have too much luggage.

Nice reception, easily accessible from main Delhi train station. Bed was comfy and breakfast was ok. Room was clean and had everything needed.

No card payment allowed, only cash or Google pay, which involves needing an Indian Bank account... So just make sure to have enough cash if you are a foreign.

Compared to other properties I stayed at in Delhi, this is definitely the best value for money and comfort! As a female solo traveller I felt really comfortable, staff was available to any request, breakfast was nice, hot water was working and the room wasn’t cold (I think they have controlled A/C but I’m not sure. I would come back.

The only think I can say is that if there were more options for breakfast (like scrambled eggs) would have been even better!

Ranjana and her collaborators were delightful, they helped us in everything and for everything, taking care of us in every detail, helping us organize and manage the tour around the city of Delhi. They were all kind, affectionate, from the first moment welcoming us every time with a bottle of water and fruit juice, to the last moment, when they provided us with a reliable driver for the station. Ranjana is also able to organize tourist tours around Delhi up to Rajasthan. An all-round welcome and experience. The neighborhood is very chaotic Paharganj, but the hotel is certainly one of the best in the area and the very centre of Delhi, and the staff simplifies any problem you may have

The staff was excellent. I was very worried about food as I had important work to do and couldn’t afford to get I’ll, so they worked with me and allowed me to prepare my own breakfast in their kitchen with their help. The staff at reception was also friendly and helpful and the manageress does a great job at directing staff and making sure everyone is very customer focused.

There was no natural light in the room but the artificial lighting was great with many options so it made up for it. It is very common for most hotels in the area to have no natural light in the room as land prices are very high.

All the staff were always welcoming and ready to help at any time! Especially Mr. Ashok an exceptionally thoughtful person, who even brought me coffee at 4 in the morning on my last day because i was leaving early. He will make your stay wonderful.🙏 Also Mrs. Ranjana who always asked for what was missing and all. The day time receptionist as well. Overall they made the stay unique. Very hospitable staff! The food is also great, dined in a many nights.

Maybe the rooms should have windows. Otherwise the bed is comfortable and no other issues.
