Smyle Inn - Best Value Hotel near New Delhi Station

We stayed 40 nights here and it was amazing The location is excellent for the station and all shopping needs and felt like we were staying in ‘real Delhi’ ALI ( reception manager) was outstanding as were ALL his staff without exception ALI booked and amended over 10 trains for us - this included several sleepers and long distance trips. The room and bathroom were spacious with a good supply of hot water; towels and bed linen were regularly renewed. Breakfast was delivered when requested and housekeeping generally was excellent. ALI also gave us invaluable advice throughout our stay ( listen always to his advice!!) and staff welcomed us back from each of our trips however late or early we returned It was a real ‘home from home’ - we would definitely book again.

A cord on the blinds ( we had three windows)to be able to raise/ hold them up, to let in more natural light would be nice.

We ’ve booked this hotel 1 hour before check in and it was the best place we were staying in during our 2 weeks trip in India! fresh towels and bed sheets, clean bathroom and we finally found a hotel with hot water!!! super tasty breakfast, big room and great location and what is more and the most important - amazing, kind and open staff - we had our flight back home very late and they let us leave luggages and even proposed to use shower to feel better, thank you so much Manish - thanks to you this stay was the best surprise and we will remember India as a great, fulled of hospitality country

Located right off main bazaar road. Rooms are basic but just what you need! We had a great stay. Staff are very helpful. Breakfast was great and the staff who served breakfast so friendly and smiley. Yes it can be noisy at night but you are staying in a very busy area so no matter which hotel you stay you are going to hear noise. We arrived at 4am which was no problem. Hot water needs to be turned on my staff which they do immediately and only takes 10 mins to heat up. They also have a travel desk if you need help booking anything. Would stay here again!

The room was really clean and cozy, hot water in the winter and nice breakfast! Before finding this jewel I had to see at least 4 different hostels in Paharganj area, they were all dirty, humid, some of them had even fungus in the rooms and they were not at all what shown on the pictures. Smyle Inn is totally opposite - friendly atmosphere, supernice welcoming and beautiful rooms (at least in building no.2) :) Will definitely come back here, not even start to bother searching myself any other place. Special thanks to Manish from front desk - he helped me in so many ways, for which I am very very grateful!

We really enjoyed our stay at smyle inn. For that price it was really good, clean and the breakfast was good. The terrace is nice and the staff is so kind and helpful. Especially the guy at the front desk and the guy who serves breakfast. And off course the owners. They always made sure we were safe while taking a tour outside, that was so nice. The room was clean and great for the price. The Mattress was hard and the sound of the street was pretty loud but all in one to be expected for the price, so everything good! We enjoyed it very much here and also got a lot of helpful tips from the staff. highly recommend!!

Only two negative things is the location, it is pretty chaotic and the hotel is right next to a public toilet which is why it smells like Urin couple meters close to the hotel. But this actually has nothing really to do with the hotel itself, just to let you know.

Location is very handy for New Delhi Railway Station. Just off main bazaar Road so loads of shops restaurants and stalls nearby. The staff are awesome, nothing was too much trouble. I would definitely stay here again. Rooftop terrace where you have breakfast was ace. Excellent air conditioning in the rooms. We came here for Mum's 80th birthday celebrations and they looked after her really well.

Mattress was a bit hard but nothing to stop us sleeping well. Public toilet at top if the street could be smelly, but not the hotel's fault. Card payment wouldn't work so got cash.

I really liked the room service. The hotel staffs e.g. Amir, Mohon was really supportive. They arranged the little requests like Tea at night, fetching foods from nearby hotels etc. The breakfast, although it was not a buffer, is enough and great. The chef himself came to us and gave us suggestions on what we prefer. Not to mention we have requested for parcel breakfast on 2am in the morning as we were to have our tour to Taj Mahal and they arranged it without any questions. The support staff Amir & Mohon were so great that I cannot describe enough. Furthermore, their tour planning manager Mr. Amir Hasan was really helpful and arranged us a custom made tour plan for Agra which went really well. So, to conclude, I would definitely recommend my friends and families to check in here if they were ever in Delhi.

The hotel is a little inside a small street (locally its called a gali). So if your book a cab or car, you have to drop off on the main bazar road. But the hotel staff collected the luggage and carried it to our room. The room size is small and AC, hot water geysar may be found turned off but by calling the room service every problems can be solved. But they should give complimentary water and regular room cleaning.

Great service and very friendly and helpful staff. Special thank you to Ali - we stayed last year and he went above and beyond to help us with bookings and suggestions/answers to all our questions about India. And this time we are very thankful for his kind assistance with everything we needed. Simple rooms but clean and a great location right in the heart of Main Bazar. Few minutes walk to the train station. Breakfast is simple but a nice setting on the rooftop and good value for the very low price of the room.

The hotel is set back off the main road down a narrow alley way. As others have mentioned you do need to walk past the urinal. But the friendly and basic rooms make up for it - the property does not try to be anything more than it is. And therefore is worth the money for a basic, value accomodation in Delhi.

My air con did not work and I only noticed it at midnight when I went to the room. Staff got someone to look at this in the middle of the night but they couldn’t fix it. So they had to change rooms, the manager allowed me to have a later check out as a result. The area is also very chaotic. Finding it was also difficult, follow the smell of the public urinal and it’s tucked in the alley where a whole series of hotels areas. It’s in the main market street, if you’re travelling by car, expect to be stuck in heaps of traffic at the night time. I recommend just getting out and walk but it’s also be careful as super busy and I felt slightly unsafe

Smyle Inn is a fantastic place and ticked all the boxes during our stay. We checked in late after arriving from the airport at 2am, however that was not an issue and the staff was friendly. The breakfast was solid and is on the rooftop. Ali at the reception especially is very helpful in providing advice and guidance to make our stay at Delhi as comfortable as possible. He gave us directions and recommendations, as well as going above and beyond answering our queries like railway trains and bookings and money exchange. Moreover even before our arrival we were given advice to avoid scams which was extremely useful for us. The rooms are comfortable and very clean. You have air conditioning and a fan to keep cool.

Nothing not to like about the property.
