Taj Fisherman’s Cove Resort & Spa, Chennai

Amenities, comfortable rooms, proximity to the sea, beautiful views, small activities for the kids during high tea was especially nice, variety of games for kids and adults.

The charges for room service for tea/coffee were ridiculous (approx 560 Rs) considering that there was only 1 staff for the whole building, and the tea arrived 1.5 hrs late. We would have preferred cancelling the tea as it nullifies the whole point of room service.

The staff here is excellent. We would like to name the following staff for providing outstanding service with a smile. Seagull restaurant: Saravanan, Anbu, Shiva, Nishaad. Elumalai, Gopi, Restaurant manager Rajneesh, Chef Aatish, Chef Tapan, Chef Ravi Buggy Drivers: Vincent, Dev Reception: Koushik. Reshmi We had booked three rooms (417, 419, 424) My daughter, Son in law and Sambandhis were visiting from the US. They were absolutely overwhelmed by the hospitality, warmth and service provided by the above mentioned women and men. A special Thank you to Rajneesh and Chef Aatish at Seagull restaurant for serving amazing food on all days - with great warmth. Also a special thank you to Dev and Vincent for helping my mobility-challenged wife travel around the property with ease and comfort in the buggy. A big thank you. An overall excellent experience at Fish Co. This is home from home.

The AC control can be improved

Dinner at Sea Gull was Fabulous... Great evening experience.. LOvely clean Swimming Pool .. Walk around the Property was Very Peaceful and Soothing..Lots of Greenery to Cherish your Joy.. Very courteous Staff.. Many activities to Keep a Family engaged throughout the Day

Mosquitos @ Bay View Restaurant.. Service was Poor... Staff was not Involved with the Job/Role.. Very Casual Approach.. Ordered a 650ml Drink, was answered bluntly NO...same time we walked to Seagull and they servced the Same Drink..

Staff very polite and helpful including the hospitality staff,domestic staff,drivers,restaurant staff and even the lifeguard and beach security staff Excellent location The food was outstanding.Chef Tapan was always attentive.He was willing to go the extra mile to make whatever dish we wanted and the red mullet he cooked for us at the beach shack was just heavenly. I also want to mention General Manager Ritesh Choudhary who was always available to sort out issues promptly and to our complete satisfaction.He is a great manager and was leading the staff from the front always. Many thanks to all staff for making the stay memorable

Some issues with leaking aircon unit and bathroom lights.These were promptly resolved by very efficient and courteous staff Property is a bit dated and will need constant updating and maintenance. This does not deter us from visiting again because of the exceptional hospitality of the staff Lots of mosquitoes in the whole area.Rooms had mosquito repellant which was very effective Tea and snacks in the afternoon was agreat idea.Wish there was a variety of snacks every day rather than the same biscuits etc.Could have been warm food and sweets as we had at Taj Bekal last year

As always Taj hospitality proved to be one of the very best. Helpful, polite, very nice staff. Beautiful setting. They gave very practical advice about preferring garden view rooms over cottages which not only saved us money but also turned out to be having something we really liked. Food was good too.

If I may give a suggestion, I would request them to reduce lighting in the property... may be just restrict it to path lighting with really low down-cast lighting fixtures. Nowadays I miss darkness in the night. Also there is absolutely no need to light up the trees and bushes and lawns in the night.

Location. Location. Location. The sea view cottages are literally by the sea. The beach is phenomenal. While it’s not a private beach, it’s kept very well and clean. Rooms are spacious and well appointed. Staff is phenomenal. The property is huge and by the sea, which makes maintaining the property a Herculean task. Despite that, the management has done a phenomenal job in not only maintaining it, but keeping it beautiful. Kamesh, who was the duty manager during the stay was a rockstar. On first day, I lost my phone. He got the phone back in 30 min. and personally delivered it to the room. On our last day, we wanted to make a quick visit to Mahabaliuram. He was spot on with his tips and guidance. These little things make the Taj hospitality what it is known for. So, thank you Kamesh. The rest of the staff were also warm, welcoming and helpful. Breakfast buffet was satisfactory. While nothing to rave about, it did its job. The pool table and activity area are a nice touch. They offer evening snacks and hi-tea in the lawns, which is a nice and unique touch for otherwise over priced F&B experience.

F&B is a over priced for something which is a very standard affair. Given the rich cuisine of the area and availability of fresh catch, IMO the F&B offering can be made a lot more exciting.

The best thing about this resort was the friendly, helpful staff who did their best to make our stay comfortable.

Not enough shade or facilities on the beach, AC is required in the corridors going to the rooms, rooms could do with freshening up as it all looks a little tired. Also had difficulty with communication by email as messages were picked up by different people who didn’t seem to know what had gone before.

Breakfast was excellent. We wanted to taste Lasagne in the European restaurant and it was disappointing. The evening snacks offered was surprisingly good. The games on offer were good. We enjoyed playing pool and TT. Swimming pool was well maintained too. Beach was clean and well maintained.

Small dead snake was spotted on the walk way towards the Rooms where we stayed. (common krait) . Lasagne was disappointing. Had high expectations as we paid almost 2700 for two !! in Little Italy we get high quality Lasagne for 600 :( !!!

The property is based in an excellent location and a very good access to the beach. From the life guard in the beach to the front desk and especially the restaurant people where excellent. Rajneesh and his team and the chef gave has excellent choice of food and personally took care of everyone. The breakfast had a good spread and so was dinner. The beach access had a pvt one for the hotel and was well maintained. The Gym was good and the surrounding was well maintained. Overall a very good experience.

No much to dislike. Except for the hot water problem which we faced in our room and the internet was not up to the mark.

The staff was extremely welcoming specially Amit, the duty manager. He was very kind and helpful. Atish the Chef of the property was incredibly kind to make our anniversary very special and enjoyable. Special shout out to Manas, Tapan, Satya and Patrick. Each one of them made our stay pleasant and memorable. The food at the Upper Deck restaurant was extremely delicious😋. Thanks🙏.

Only thing I was a little disappointed about was the breakfast menu which was almost similar every day. Becomes a little boring if you stay for a longer period. Just an honest opinion guys. Not that i did not like the spread.
