ITC Grand Chola, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Chennai

Spacious room, speedy room service and responsive housekeeping services. Excellent breakfast buffet options and good tasting food. The driver services organised by the hotel for airport pick up and travel around town worked really well. The toiletries provided by the hotel is really amazing!! Most staff can speak reasonable English.

Outside of the building really needs a new layer of paint or renovations. When we stopped outside I had doubts we made the right decision… but inside is ok. Being in Chennai I feel more staff can speak Tamil instead of Hindi. General service orientation of staff is average (yes they are friendly but no they are not good waiters / waitresses).

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Fantastic Rooms, and I must say, the name truly lives up to the experience! From start to finish, my stay was nothing short of fantastic. The smart controls allowed me to easily adjust the lighting, temperature, and even order room service with just a few taps on the provided tablet. It added a level of convenience that enhanced my overall experience. The bed was a highlight of my stay – incredibly comfortable with premium linens that ensured a restful night's sleep. The attention to detail extended to the bathroom, where high-quality toiletries and a spacious shower added to the overall sense of luxury. Fantastic Rooms also excelled in its commitment to customer service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met, providing helpful recommendations for local attractions and restaurants. Their genuine enthusiasm for making my stay enjoyable was evident, and it made a significant difference in my overall impression. The location of Fantastic Rooms was another plus. Centrally located, it was easy for me to explore the surrounding area and access nearby attractions. Whether I was looking for a quiet evening in or an adventure in the city, the hotel's location made it convenient for both. In conclusion, my stay at Fantastic Rooms was truly memorable. My parents stayed at the Grand Chola for 10 days. They enjoyed the hotel services, breakfast, and amenities. My old-aged parents thoroughly enjoyed the service apartment stay, The room was exceptionally clean, with facilities like a kitchen, washer and dryer, and a great Hot water tub. The breakfast buffet was so tasty and had a great variety of different cuisines. Highly Recommend for everyone

Great breakfast (I highly recommend the cappuccino). Impressive interior of the hotel. Good rooms. Very friendly hotel staff.

The shower tiles on the floor had sharp edges and we could only stand in certain positions. The bathroom flooring came off and once bed sheets were stained. The carpet under the bed could require some better cleaning. We had some issues with the light which sometimes randomly switched on by itself in the night (this only happened twice).

Love the ambience and the breakfast buffet, so nice, I spoke with a staff called Ram he was so wonderful he said he was from pondicherry. I told him I am coming after so many years to India and asked for an omelet and he did the exact way I mentioned, very nice person. Please covey my appreciation to Ram

I ordered coffee satchet form in room service and it took almost an hour to get the coffee sachet to my room. I almost rang in room service 3 times. Spoke with a guy called sampath he advised 2 times that it will be soon but unfortunately it wasn't. It took almost an hour to bring the coffee sachet just the coffee sachet. For such a big hotel this is really a very bad experience.

Well i would start from the arrival where we greeted with a nice tea and and we received beautiful scarves as a gift. The check in was immediate and the room was ready for us. The room was fantastic, we had booked a 2 bedroom solution and we were given an Apartment with 2 bedrooms 3 bathrooms a kitchen with a living room. Absolutely fantastic. The pool was great and with all the amenities you would imagine and the service at the pool area was also fast and of great quality. I need to give a special mention to Chef Zubin of the Ottimo Italian Restaurant, apart complimenting his restaurant that makes me feel less far from home (I am italian) and i consider it the best italian restaurant in Chennai, i have asked him a few ideas about our stay and he helped us in making sure the already pleasant stay become a memorable experience. The SPA was also a great experience, we have used the Couple room and we had great massage in the same room with my wife. The restaurant AVARTANA one of the top Asian restaurants has so far been the top culinary experience we ever had in India. We will 100% go back to ITC Grandchola, to the OTTIMO Restaurant of Chef Zubin and the AVARTANA !! WELL DONE ALL OF YOU- Thank YOU from Gianni Yulia and Mila

Room is very big. The style is a bit old fashioned in luxurious way, but all good. Breakfast has more types of food you could possibly hope for. For dinner you have multiple options. The pricing is not cheap by Indian standards, but normal compared to regular western rates.

The Indian food offered in the buffet was not bad, but it was not excellent either. On the other hand, there were a considerable selection of western dishes, Indian, all sorts. But not really anything that blew my mind.

Everything (except what is mentioned below) was excellent. Especially Meghana who gave us a grand and informative tour of the Chola with courtesy, patience and enthusiasm. And we thank you profusely for the cake and balloons as it was our wedding anniversary. That was an extra much appreciated. Simran at the reception desk was very helpful too. And Chola has the BEST public toilets we have ever seen! We loved the grand staircase and the muted marble decor everywhere.

I'm afraid the buffet was the one aspect we were not satisfied with. There was virtually nothing on the lunch and dinner buffets for a European who does not like spicy food. Nevertheless, she had excellent salmon and chips for dinner and bread and cheese for lunch in the coffee room.

This is the best breakfast spread i have seen in a 5star hotel , nothing like this i saw in Europe , US , Thailand , Dubai or even in India yet . It has live counters , variety of food options for vegetarians and nonvegetarians and the spread is a delight to look at .

Nothing in particular , as the chefs who handle the kitchen are excellent , maybe they could add a few more gluten free (vegan) breads and bakes and also more vegan options in the non indian section .

The property, it's size, the amenities, the rooms, the food, the room service, breakfast, pools and everything.

No doubt an exceptional property. However, the hospitality angle was missing to some extent. No welcome drinks, not even water, were offered. It appeared as if the Staff were mechanical. Personal angle was missing. And the thing which irked me most was their room service settlement. I have never seen in any hotel that you are made to pay as soon as the food reaches the room every time. Either they take advance or they settle those bills at checkout. A person who is staying in such a hotel generally would not run away with the bills remaining unpaid. That was shocking.
