Ramada Plaza Chennai

Superb location, very big rooms and bathrooms, extremely good maintenance and upkeep of all furnitures and fixtures. very friendly and welcoming staff everywhere in the property. My recommendation to everyone to stay in this hotel.

Breakfast needs a major revamp with regards to content and also perhaps the staff that is overseeing the process. I requested for a single shot espresso and ended up getting a traditional black coffee, which I requested to be replaced however the person serving me kept insisting that it was indeed an espresso. Nevertheless, a lady intervened and assured me that my espresso would be served shortly, but even after several reminders and wait, it never arrived.

The hotel were very responsive to my queries in advance of our trip. As this was our first visit to India and we were arriving at 1am Chennai time I wanted to ensure we had a car booked to collect us. This was arranged by the hotel and the hotel driver (Danu) waited for us even though one of our bags did not arrive and we were delayed over an hour completing forms etc. The hotel staff were professional, friendly and helpful - even helping us one day with our Indian outfits which needed adjustment! Bottled water was freely available and the food was wonderful - great choice and quality. Our room was comfortable and air conditioning worked perfectly in the room. The rooftop restaurant and pool are fab.

Not much improvement necessary. The hotel Spa could be promoted more.

Outside food is not allowed. But not a deal breaker. There is subway and other supermarkets nearby (just beside the building), so you can walk and eat fruits at supermarket or subway meal at subway.

The location is very convenient as it is very close to the Little Mount metro station. The room was very spacious (I liked the automatic curtains closing & opening) and the breakfast provided was very good & had a lot of options. Overall a very comfortable stay. I also liked the rooftop swimming pool although didn't utilise it. The wifi is very strong

I had an issue initially with connecting the wifi, so I had to call IT to get it sorted, which got resolved later. However, never had issues like this in my previous stays in other hotels

the restaurant staff were exceptionally nice and the staff were generally very polite and very helpful

the sauna and stream rooms were chargeable which is very strange for a 5 star hotel. should definitely expect to have such a basic facility to be included. also the day we checked in the room was not set up for a triple room till about 10pm at night after reminding about 3 times and giving ample time. so again that was not good and all along we had to keep reminding to leave 3 towels etc. also the triple rooms are very tight. 5 days was a long time to manage in such a tight room. also the shower cubical had a bad design where all the water came out to the landing section so had to keep cleaning the water pouring out of the bathroom.

It was a very short stay for me and 2nd in a year. Booked the same hotel as my prior experience was fantastic, as usual it was pleasant stay and met all my expectations. Rooms are very spacious, large bathroom, excellent cleanliness, staff friendly and helpful. Location is great and walkable distance to amenities one would like. The breakfast spread is fantastic and good choice of food, one can easily get stuffed.

Missed the great filter coffee, staff tried their best though just could not deliver the "Chennai filler coffee" which I am a big fan off. Also observed bit of skirmish between staff during breakfast, bit annoying for the observant guest, it will better if it gets sorted out behind doors.

The staffs were very2 accommodating. I had an early flight to Chennai, and ended up at the hotel before check in time. Looking at our exhausted faces, the butler gave us towels and even offered toiletries for us to freshen up. Soon after the receptionist (sunita) was kind enough to give us our room early. Everyone was courteous, had a big smile on their face and we're very2 helpful and accommodating. The butler needs a special mention, he was always looking out for us, even helped to talked to our uber guy. That man is a gem. The rooftop is amazing for sunset and at night. Breakfast buffet was amazing.

It's in front of a very buzy Street, gets a lil noisy during peak hours, luckily the rooms are noise proof. Cleanliness of the public lavatory, esp at the pool area leaves much to be desired.

The property was amazing with perfect facilities, Vikash from the house keeping and Abdul bath and Prakash from the restaurants were very good and they gave the best hospitality.

Unfortunately the people in the reception were not very helpful and to my surprise it was very strange that the person said to us that management only wants money and we all work for money so we won’t care about anything else. Being in a hospitality field this is the first time I got such kind of response from the reception team.

Restaurant Chef, Captain and staff were most cooperative in ensuring my wife's special needs of Jain meals.

We were at Hotel around 10.45 am. Receptionist asked us additional 50% charges for early checkin as standard check in time being 2pm. Nowhere in world I have been asked to pay extra for early checkin if room reserved is available. In India, Hotel may earn some extra, but Guest may avoid such hotels in future. Though Room was subsequently given around 12.30 noon. Hotel should not test the patience of Guests.

My family and I had a pleasant stay for 4 nights at the hotel. The check-in and check-out process was smooth. We had a reservation for a twin bed room. The hotel was kind enough to offer to change it to a standard King bedroom. The room was clean, spacious, comfortable and very quiet with a nice view over the Sardar Patel road. The hotel staffs were courteous and were very helpful. The hotel had a very good multi-cuisine buffet breakfast, with variations in the food choices over different days. The room service food in general was good. The roof top swimming pool, with a nice view of the city, was great (have added a few pictures). We tried the roof top restaurant food. It was good. The hotel is centrally located. It was easy to get to different parts of the city like, Airport, T. Nagar, Adyar, DMS/Thousand lights region, Chrompet and further south to places like Tambaram, Kelambakkam region and Chengalpattu by taxi or auto.
