I have been visiting this place every year for almost thirteen years. Every corner and every little tiny detail of this basic, yet cozy hostel feels like a second home to me. If you are travelling on a low budget and have no special expectations, this place has everything you need - free wi-fi, OK rooms, central location and communal kitchen that allows you to cook you own meals and save a lot of money in the process.
The place is starting to show some wear and tear, but I am also seeing effort to keep things fixed and running.

The property is situated in the center of Jerusalem and is a 2-minute walk from Jaffa Center Station. Our room has balcony facing the city street so you can enjoy watching the locals and tourists getting entertained by street performers. You get a lot of options from cafes to fast-food and fine-dining restaurants surrounding the hotel. You can also keep your luggage in the locker room after your check-out time if you still want to wander around the city. The Old City is a 16-minute walk and Machane Yehuda Market is 10-minute walk, too. The receptionists, though helpful, does not smile, therefore giving an unfriendly and unapproachable vibe. P.S. Underwhelming snaps provided
It has no elevator so carrying your heavy luggage will provide you inconvenience. Though the property is clean and well-maintained, it looks old so it's not recommended for travelers who are looking for a posh accommodation. The bathroom door doesn't have lock as well.

Great location in a historic building on Jaffa street with many restaurants and shops nearby. Very nice and helpful staff. The room was basic but with adequate space for a single room.
Breakfast starts only at 08:30 which was too late for me on my first morning. I wanted to have some on my second morning but there wasn't much ready when I arrived at 08:30 so that didn't work out for me either.

It was really awesome to stay here. I was here together with parents for 3 nights. The staff, Muhammad (I hope I wrote his name correctly) gave me information how to get to Tel Aviv without using taxi and where to take very in detail during jewish new year's period. Some people mentioned the facility is a bit old , but our room was perfect. I like the mattress, it was cozy and bed sheets were clean. And breakfast was another plus. We could drink capsule coffee! Kitchen was nice. I made simple sandwiches before our trip in the kitchen and there were 3 dinner tables. People cooked and ate there. You can get hot and cold water here. Terrace was nice 👍 Very near to the tram stop. Also reception worked till late so we managed to check in around 11 30 pm. Normally I don't leave reviews but I would like to, since now I'm on the shared taxi to go to Tel aviv I wish your business goes well and if I have any chance to visit Jerusalem I will definitely book here again Thank you 🙏
Nothing. I actually thought we would only sleep here and that's all, but it turned out that here it is much better than I expected.

It is in a great location on Jaffa road and you can use the light rail for most sight seeing. All the complaints I read have some truth in them but all-in-all if you are looking for a no-frills, low-key, budget place, it is great. It is a bit run down but the rooms are clean, it is a bit noisy but it is fun to hear the musicians play in the square, the bathroom is tiny, but adequate, and the breakfast is a bit sparse and sometimes cold, but also adequate. We were there twice and would go again.
The boiled eggs and hot water could have been warm that last day. The other days were fine.

Very responsive and courteous staff. Location was just near the tram hence commuting from the airport was quick and economical. The room was very clean, I had opted for 2 double beds and a bunk bed. Very clean set up and the sheets and blankets all have white coverings and that is very impressive and hygienic and that impressed us the most. Best of all the shared kitchen is accessible 24/7 as we can cook as we go.
Nothing ...just keep it up 😉

It was very central on Jaffa Street with the Light-Rail convenient to travel towards the Old City and to the other stops even went as far as Mount Hertzl . Room was Okay and most of the others were friendly. Breakfast was good on the roof area.
The stairs were a challenge but I had been informed that I would need to climb flights of stairs. It would have been good to have some milk in the fridge for use in the evening. There were not enough mugs in the kitchen!

I loved the rooftop and view over the street and Zion square and the breakfast was pretty good - lots of choices and fantastic coffee?I liked the chilled vibe of the place and being able to come and go with a simple door code.
Even though I said I loved the rooftop, it could do with a bit of a makeover eg laying down some fake grass (turf) floor cover or something? .
