If you are looking for a boutique style hotel with the Jerusalem factor then this is the one go for! Top from a design point of view, location can't get any better and if we have to talk about breakfast....oh myyyyy it's the most amazing of all. Ample and delicious...couldn't believe what I was getting on the table was just for one! I'd book this hotel on repeat just for the breakfast alone.

The room was quiet, with a high ceiling, and offered every comfort, especially the bed. I appreciated having an espresso machine in the room. The breakfast, served to me by the very capable waiter Mohammed, was exceptionally rich with a variety of samplings of middle-eastern dishes and served either in the very attractive lobby, the glassed-in patio, or the front courtyard, which is bedecked in flowers and has the feel of an oasis. Of particular value to me was the location: the property abuts the ultra-Orthodox neighborhood of Me'a She'arim and is also just five minutes away from Jaffa Street with its many shops and its rail line, which takes you to the train station traveling west or to the old city of Jerusalem traveling east. Both destinations are also easily reached on foot.

I was disappointed that my room had no view to speak of, but that's because I chose the cheapest one available. Another thing that was a bit of a disappointment was the fact that although the TV appeared to offer a variety of radio stations to listen to, it did not, in actual fact.

What a beautiful place. The villa is in a convenient location, close to the gates and restaurants. We got an upgrade which we were thrilled about, it was a beautiful room with a terrace, height windows and a good view, loved the style overall, especially the bathroom. The staff was super kind and very helpful, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in the pretty restaurant area with many choices and super tasty. Throughout the day you can get free snacks, apples and thee and coffee. Definitely recommended!

Villa brown is located just a few minutes walk from damaskus gate, one of the entrances to the old town of Jerusalem. Our room had a lovely, large balcony and also came with a nespresso coffee maker. An additional coffee machine was available on the 3rd floor rooftop terrace. Our bathroom had a large shower and high quality toiletries were provided. Breakfast is served in the basement and was absolutely amazing - small dishes, mezze-style, and a "main dish" of choice. Portions were so generous and the taste so amazing that we skipped lunch on most days as we were still full from breakfast.

The hotel interior was a bit too dark for our personal taste, and some walls had scratches, but we did not mind this at all.

We liked everything! Beauty in the lobby, dining areas, front courtyard, and bedroom. Our room was beautiful and charming, with an incredible jet tub for two and a great shower. The most exotic and delicious breakfast was included each morning. The staff was gracious and professional; they set up a nice private half-day tour to Bethlehem. I had the best massage at the spa. We enjoyed walking to restaurants, Old City, and Mamila mall.

We were really impressed with this hotel. It's in a great location that makes it an easy walking distance to the city center or the old city. The staff were absolutely lovely and took care of every need we had and the breakfast was very good. The room was a good size with a great sized bathroom and a good bed and was quiet at night. If you like boutique hotels and want something with an original design and a little more character, then you will love this place.

Other reviewers have mentioned this, but there's a lack of any storage space in the room. We would recommend that they get rid of the desk that is not needed and instead put in a wardrobe in its place to allow you to unpack. That was really our only complaint about the hotel and one that can be easily remedied.

Friendly staff at an hotel which is nicely located near the Old City and the new city. Good breakfast with plenty of choices (not a buffet but a menu with 4/5 different options and on top always a selection of cold mezzes which change every day).

Some of the equipments need to be replaced (for instance door handles or shower heads).

Overall it was an excellent experience. The location was within 10 minutes to Jaffa Gate. The most memorable was the design and architecture of the building - as it was really a villa. The furnishing felt luxurious and at home. We arrived before noon and our room was not ready (of course) but instead of making it sound like it was our fault, the staff graciously invited us to the top floor where we could relax with a rooftop view and a cup of complimentary coffee. When we returned later in the evening our bags had been brought up and we were upgraded to a very spacious room. Throughout our five nights stay the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing with a mezze of beautifully plated local delicacies and the chef went out of his way to delight us. There was a garden courtyard where we could relax among the flowers and enjoy a glass of complimentary wine on Friday night. The general manager passed by whenever he could to say hello and check on us. This hotel should be applauded for their excellent service. Thank you for making our first visit to Jerusalem so enjoyable!
