The hotel felt intimate and cosy. Most of the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I had requested a kettle in the room in a message beforehand and there it was when we arrived, in addition to the coffee maker (which produced excellent hot water anyway as it happened). The hotel was also more than happy to whizz cold milk up for me to keep in the fridge when I rang down. The manager, Hezi, was really welcoming and personable and we had great fun chatting with him in the happy hours on the hotel rooftop. The food and wine in The George and John was phenomenal. Staying at The Drisco made a lovely end to our trip to Israel. Thank you!❤️

A spectacular boutique hotel of 42 rooms. The room are extremely comfortable and exceedingly clean. The views from the balcony rooms and the rooftop terrace are breathtaking at sundown. The food is extraordinary. Breakfasts are sumptuous; dinner at the renowned George and John restaurant is not to be missed. The rooms are stocked with water, soda, tea and coffee and everything is included. All this is wonderful but the best thing of all is the staff. They treat you like royalty. Everyone has a smile for you, and will go out of their way to make your stay extraordinary. Hezi, the manager, greets each guest personally. These people really know how to run a hotel. Far and away the best hotel experience we have ever had. We did not want to leave.

Not a single suggestion on how they can improve.

We loved our stay at this historic boutique hotel. From the moment we arrived we were treated with exceptional care. The staff were friendly and beyond helpful with anything we needed. The manager (I think he was the manager) was very nice and shared with us the history of the hotel. He was wonderful and clearly loved his job. His enthusiasm was contagious and made our stay extra special. The hotel is beautiful, the food in the restaurant was delicious and the rooms were extremely comfortable. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. Definitely would recommend to anyone coming to the area!

wanted to stay longer😊

The service was unlike any other that i have experienced in many years. The staff knew us by our name and were warm, friendly and accommodating throughout our stay. We are celiac, and there was always warm (fresh from the oven) gluten-free bread waiting for us at breakfast. the rooms were beyond comfortable (especially the beds and pillows) and we had a gorgeous view of the sea from our balcony. this is a small boutique hotel in a wonderful part of town, close to Jaffa and Neve Tzedek and to the sea. I highly recommend it.

it would have been great to have more amenities but it is a boutique hotel and we knew there would not be a pool.

A chic historical building, renovated recently in a state-of-the-art fashion. Our room was upgraded to a room with a balcony, we were welcomed with drinks, and given a free lengthy tour of the hotel and its historical environment by a knowledgeable staff member. The restaurant has amazing (and pricy) food for dinner, and the breakfast (included in the price) was also upscale.

The rooftop, which is supposed to open every evening with free drinks, was closed in the evening of our stay. At breakfast, the benedict with minute steak, which is supposed to be the highlight, was missing in the morning of our stay. The price was still high eventhough we found a bargain at booking, ordering a long time ahead, but that problem is not unique.

The breakfast was great; service + location + comfort and cleanliness + history + decor and conservation + little gifts + bathroom and electricity equipment - were all great and above. We felt we were treated like royalty ❤

a. We mainly wanted a room with a balcony - which we got, but our balcony wasn't pleasant to use: 1. It was practically in the road; 2. It was in the shade at all hours; 3. The balcony furniture was lovely, but was heavy and difficult to manage. b. Again - cleanliness was great, but having the room cleaned when we were down for dinner was a bit annoying, like our privacy was invaded. It would be better having it as an option which the guest can choose.

A luxury hotel in an historic building. Beautifully renovated. Located on the border between Jaffa and Tel Aviv, just blocks from Old Jaffa and beautiful beaches. Don’t be put off by a few dilapidated buildings nearby. Neighborhood is undergoing gentrification. Our room, while small. was immaculate and comfortable. Pretty view from window. Lots of little niceties, including complimentary drinks on check-in and a bottle of wine in the room. We enjoyed a delicious 2-course breakfast (plus fruit, cheese, and pastries) on porcelain dinnerware on the nice patio just off the dining room. We also had a great meal at the upscale on-site George and John restaurant one night. Our second night we ate at the Itzic Hagadol restaurant, just 2 blocks away and offering choice meats and an array of 23 salads served at the table. We would return to the Drisco in a heartbeat.

Large and good breakfast. Good WiFi. Staff is very welcoming and nice. Had the Attic Studio room - nice and comfortable.

The hot water in the shower was very unstable. This was really annoying. The staff sent a technician to look at it, after several checks he concluded there's nothing to do about it. We also complained in the reception upon check-out, but did not hear since. At this level of luxury hotel this should not go unnoticed. Separately, upon entrance to the room, the room did smell like there was overuse of cleaning detergent.

Our arch suite was really splendid, very comfortable and beautiful style, with a little terrace to the garden. The food was very good at George & John restaurant, we also had a great bar in the room and the rooftop afternoon wine was a very nice idea. The staff was so attentive and ready to help, I've got a little birthday surprise - very touching ! We had a short stay, so we couldn't join the guided tour in the neighborhood or enjoy the spa, but hope to make it next time.

Beautiful property, well situated and clean. Outstanding breakfast. The food in general is lovely. Attention to details and recent renovation. The property has a lovely feel.

My room was facing the street. It can be loud until late at night and early morning. With single glazed windows, ear plugs are not a bad idea if you are a light sleeper. I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. Service was generally great expect one morning when the young lady serving breakfast decided she was not in the mood for customers and was borderline rude.
