Le Funi Hotel

The location of the Hotel is excellent for seeing around the old area of the city and was so easy to get the Number 1 bus from the airport and the last stop is just 3 min walk to the Hotel, The staff were so so nice and very helpful with any queries we had on getting around the area, the breakfast was beautiful and sufficient, the old town area of Bergamo is beautiful and is only a 3 min stroll from the hotel with lots of nice restaurants / cafes, the walk around the old ancient walls is a must to see beautiful views around the city, it was my birthday when I was there and staff surprised me with a small cake and birthday wishes which was a really nice surprise. also the owner of the Hotel came and wished me happy birthday also as his birthday was the day before and we had a nice chat. such a nice down to earth man and this reflects through to his excellent team of staff that he has working for him. we will definitely stay here again in the future thanks Le Funi Hotel

Amazing hotel in the lovely Citta Alta Bergamo. Close to the funicular, which is lovely (in some rooms you can just hear it rumble by but not an issue). Rooms lovely with all amenities and some have great views. Breakfast fantastic. Staff excellent and couldn't do enough for us. Highly recommended!!

There is a short steep hill for the last 50m or so, that may be an issue for some people. Walks off a few of the pizza calories!

We were greeted by the lovely front desk who took a few moments to tell us about our stay and make suggestions for what to see and where to eat. We were surprised by a room upgrade and the offer of arranging any meal booking etc. The hotel is right next to the funicolare for going further up the town and walkable to the bus stop to go down the hill to the lower city as well as to the airport ( the citta alta is small enough to wander round.) the room was spacious and quiet, with all required amenities- the bed was very comfortable, All members of staff were delightful and very helpful, they made our one night stay such an enjoyable experience. There is plenty on offer for breakfast and the waiter makes fresh tea/ coffee. I only wish I could have stayed longer.

This Fabulous small hotel was right in the heart of the old city with stunning views and fantastic, helpful staff. It was literally a 10 minute walk to the castle on top of the hill and a 5 minute walk to the heart of the city. There were so many restaurants and bars to choose from. The breakfast at the hotel was simple but nice quality and great cappuccinos! There are regular buses to the airport that only cost €3. We also caught a bus to Lake Iseo which only took one hour and it was beautiful. Would highly recommend and stay here again.

There is not much to dislike about this hotel.

We had wonderful service with very professional and friendly staff. The breakfast was very good with a good selection and great cappuccino. Check in and check out was efficient and we got all the information we needed to have a great stay including a list of recommended restaurants which was very helpful. The paid parking was very helpful and the location was close to the old town for walking. The bed was also very comfortable.

Perfect location in the old town and comfortable room with all the facilities we needed for a 4 night break. Breakfast was continental with lots of choice and good quality. Staff at this hotel are faultless and incredibly helpful with directions and restaurant bookings. We would stay here again - highly recommend

Stunning location - just at the bottom of the walk up to highest point of Bergamo and with views of the rest of the old town. Stylish rooms, well stocked and impeccably clean. The staff were incredibly friendly and helped us by booking our lovely dinner for the evening. We’ll 100% return if ever back in Bergamo.

Perhaps there could be more options at breakfast, but what we had was nice (lovely cakes!).

Surely one of the best place to stay in Bergamo. Perfevctly clean, well kept and cosy place. Just few step away from the city center. A piece of heaven in Bergamo!
