Hotel Ristorante Lewald

We reserved a room at this hotel for its location. We were planning to take day trips to the mountains and thought it would be nice to be outside the town of Bolzano. So it was perfect for that reason. Our room had a balcony and was lovely. The manager helped us find two restaurants and it was very nice. The breakfast coffee was nice and that is all I had for breakfast so I don't know if the rest of it was o.k.

We also reserved a room here months ago because the restaurant was supposed to be open in July and closed in September. Unfortunately, it was closed for the month of July. So we had to scramble to find places to eat and there were very few in the neighborhood. We ended up eating two meals at restaurants and not eating dinner for the other three nights we were there. We just had drinks and chips at a nearby bar. So that was a shame! It was too much trouble to drive into Bolzano for a restaurant after our mountain trips.

A warm and accommodating staff. Despite our arrival beyond their working hours, the team graciously waited for us. Location is not bad if you are coming by car.The variety and quality of the breakfast spread were impressive. The "Caramella Union" was a pleasant surprise that showcased the hotel's commitment to providing a unique and memorable stay for their guests. We have a suggestion for the hotel: considering the remarkable taste and homemade appeal of the "Caramella Union," it could be a wonderful idea for the hotel to offer this treat for sale in jars. Many guests, including us, often seek to purchase local products and specialties as souvenirs or to enjoy at home.

Unfortunatelly our stay there was only for a night.

Very nice staff taking care of its customers. We felt really at home. Our room was on the garden side very quiet, large, well equipped. Air conditioning was a plus during these very hot days as well as the underground garage free of charge. The garden was also a plus to take some rest among the flowers. Thanks to all for this very pleasant stay.

Unfortunately the restaurant of the hotel was closed but we found very nice ones in the surroundings. Location is a bit outside of city center but frequent buses bring you in 15min to the old city.

The hotel is loacated just outside the city centre of Bolzano. Easy to reach by car and it has a great indoor parking. The bus station is very close if you prefer to go to the city by bus. As we visited Bolzano's Xmas markets it was very helpful to avoid the road jam. The staff was very friendly with many useful advices to visit the city. The room very clean and reachable from the parking. The bathroom was large and perfectly heated. The breakfast tasteful and various.

We enjoyed our stay and we are thankful to the nice staff to made it even better. There is nothing we didn't like.

Staff was super! Room was large and very nice. The hotel is located in an industrial area. There where constructions sites around (of course only a matter of time until they are finished) The hotel itself is not responsible for that. free public service pass was provided to us. The pool is overground stand up pool - serves its purpose (just looks different on the pics). Restaurant was closed, so we had to go somewhere for dinner. Nice seating areas to relax and enjoy a drink. and again: Staff was fantastic!

I had 2 rooms and a big balcony for myself! Nice view of the sunset (and the graveyard). The staff was very friendly and I was able to leave my bag there even after checkout. I also got a day pass for all buses etc, which meant that I could explore Soprabolzano without paying extra for the cable car.

It was quite far away from the city center. I wanted to save some money and walk, which took me a while.

The breakfast was wonderful. Lots of variety. Fresh and delicious. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room and other areas were clean and appealing. The card for free bus rides into town and free gondola rides was a great bonus.

Other customers would smoke, so it was hard to enjoy our balcony or have our door open without being bothered by the smoke.

The friendly welcome at arrival and size and luxurious appearance of the room were a real treat! And the cosy courtyard made a really nice extra. The underground parking facility was superb.

Due to arrival and departure times it wasn't unfortunately possible to experience the sauna or wellness. Grateful to have received a compensation for this one

The staff were great, super friendly and waiting for me upon late night arrival. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve seen so far staying in Italy. It had a wide range of options and even had a large section of gluten free/vegan items. A really nice room and grounds.

The staff here were so very nice and helpful. The location is a ways from city center - but very easily accessible by bus, I think this makes it a nice location because it’s calm and quiet. It was also walking distance from a cool climbing gym. The breakfast was classic euro and very nice.
