Hotel Altieri

Hotel was OK. It has its own parking place, and even if rooms were not so big, everything was clean and working properly (air conditioning, wifi). Staff was helpful and kind. Not too much of a shopping zone around the hotel, but you can find a small supermarket and some small fast food restaurants and bars in the neighborhood. The bus station for Venice is really close (1-2 minutes walking) and it will take you there in about 25 minutes. I recommend you to purchase the Venice travel pass that includes many means of transportation (vaporetto, bus, ferry) otherwise you will pay 7,5 Euro/trip in vaporetto. The 48 hours pass was 15 Euros/ person with unlimited travel.

It was really OK.

— This is a simple down-to-earth hotel situated in a calm neighborhood, far away from tourist flows and the continuous ruckus that is typical of a very popular city such as Venice, yet it's connected by bus and tramway to the Serenissima (the stations are practically in front of the hotel) and it takes no more than 30 min to reach Piazzale Roma. Favaro Veneto also has some nice restaurants to try if you're hungry! — The reception staff is friendly and polite, kindly answering every question you could have — The rooms are pretty nice and spacious, my bed was very comfy — The little fridge in the room is DEFINITELY a big plus during summer — Given how much the hotel charges, "value for money" is the key word here

— The hotel is overall very clean (especially the corridors) but the upper part of my shower cubicle were a bit dirty. Nothing shocking though. — The toilet seat is positioned in such a way it's hard to place your legs without hitting the sink, so I hope you're flexible!

The breakfast, even though it costs 7€ per person, wasn't that bad and had a few options like bread and croissants, butter and all kinds of jam and chocolate cocoa spread (not Nutella). It also had boiled eggs, salami, cheese, cereal & milk. There was a drink machine with orange juice, water, pineapple juice and tropical mix juice. Also there was a coffee machine with all kinds of coffee. P.S. There was a 3€ option with just coffee and croissants. Our room was great, it was clean and spacious and the bathroom had all the necessary toiletries. The location of the hotel (in Mestre borough) was not that far from Venice (the island), but it wasn't close either, it was 20-30 minutes by bus. On the other hand the bus that goes to Venice directly (bus 19) stops at the bus stop that is just a 2 minute walk from the hotel. So the location is a great value for the money. P.S. The buses here mostly stop on request, so you have to signal the bus driver you want to get on, otherwise they'll fly right by you.

The isolation between the rooms isn't that great, and when some of the guests in the neighboring room were a bit "louder" we couldn't fall asleep. They should probably install some dampening on the bedframes so when it hit's the wall it doesn't make that big of a sound... IYKWIM

The staff here are lovely and all speak excellent English. The room was very comfortable- large and with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was great. very spacious. There is a little bar on the corner just a couple of minutes away which is good for a quick breakfast (with warm croissants one morning). The bus stops are very close and so are very convenient, and it feels very safe coming back at night- I was a solo traveller on this occasion. I slept really well. This is a great hotel.

The room was good. Bus service to go to Venice was 5 minutes away. Return fare from hotel to Venice 3 euros per person.

No tea kettle in the room. Very bad experience with breakfast. 7 euros per person. They claim buffet is served. Utter rubbish. No cooked breakfast, burnt or raw croissants, buffet meant cornflakes 3 types of jam cheese, butter, bread, ham and Salami I believe was there but when we reached for breakfast all was over, the staff had nothing left to refill. Still charged us £14 euros for 2 persons. Yes we had 1 glass of juice. There was only one kebab house to have a meal. If you were not the outgoing type and went only to have a good rest, you either starve or eat from that little shop donear kebab roll or donear kebab pizza. Till you feel sick.

All of the staffs here are super nice. We arrived in the early morning and were allowed to stay a bit and leave our luggage there. The owner's son helped me to find a place to have my PCR test. Breakfast is only 7 euro. There's lot of buses nearby that goes to airport and Venice everyday. Both directions take only around 20 minutes.

The cleaning staff cleaned our room half way, it made us laugh a bit cuz one set of towel is changed but another is not. And the bath room and floor are half way cleaned, too. The AC is too old and made some noises, my boyfriend didn't like it at night and turned off, which made me sweat like a dog. I saw a cockroach running on the floor when breakfast in the dining room, my bf didn't mind at all and had breakfast the other days, but I didn't.

We managed to do a check in at 3am (taxi from airport is like 20€ though!). And left our luggage while visiting Venice. The room is decorated with taste and is spacious. Overall good value for money and public transport nearby to go to Venice (about 20min bus ride)

The storage to leave our luggage is not secure it's right in front of the reception so you just have to hope that someone is attending all the time and nobody take the wrong luggage. Our bathroom needed maintenance it had mould and the paint was coming off. Make sure to get an Italian plug it's different than the regular European one! Otherwise U can get one at reception U just have to deposit 5€

The stuff was amazing! Helpful and kind people. Special thanks to Suzana who celebrated my 30th birthday with a bottle of wine! She was so lovely, she helped me to reach my desired destinations. I would like to thank Asal as well for a nice service! The location of the hotel is amazing! Close to airport and Venice. It is close both to train and bus station. I highly recommend the hotel for families, friends and solo travelers.

Cleanlyness is 10/10, facilities are good, the location is a mere 200m away from a bigger bus stop/tram. It is a quiet area. The receptionists all speak a pretty good english and are friendly. There is also free wi-fi with decent bandwidth and the room.had a smart TV.

- the wi-fi connection of the smart-tv to the hotels wi-fi is impossible, what i did was to connect my phone to the wi-fi and use the wi-fi tethering function of the phone and connect the tv to it instead. -the shower cabin was a bit tight for me personally.

Overall a great experience staying here! I arrived quite late but there is someone on the desk 24/7 and checking in was quick and straightforward. I didn't have breakfast included but there is a bar right next door and the centre is a 3 minute walk with every a coffee shop, newsagents, bank etc and all connections of tram and bus to wherever you need to go. Very easy getting to Venice central or Mestre.

I stayed for 4 nights and my room was cleaned once but the cleaners did offer every day to clean it before I went out every morning, which I declined apart from new towels. But a bit odd that they would ask rather than do it. Only other problem was that my safe jammed up and wouldn't open and did some annoying beeping for ages. But the reception staff sorted it.
