A beautiful old Palazzo 3minutes walk straight to the historic town. It’s a stunning property beautifully decorated. The rooms have high ceilings and are large and perfectly decorated with artistic flare. Liana and Enzo have put particular effort into making their Palazzo an exceptional place to stay. Delicious breakfast and fantastic rooftop area to enjoy day or evening. Bonus, free public parking just out front if you arrive during the day, if not then you can find further along the road or nearby street. Fantastico!

No fridge in the room. But we have found this is quite common throughout Italy and no big deal. A small fridge would be a fabulous bonus. Though they do offer wines and beer at the Palazzo at a reasonable price if you need it. Cold bottled water is also available to drink there complimentary. It’s a lovely place to stay and very peaceful as well.

Beautiful property which really did seem like a Pallazo. The hosts were gracious, and informative. There is a huge verandah accessible to the guests on the third floor. Breakfast was wonderful and included a cappuccino. Location is superb, 3- min walk to the old city with free parking in the street.

At times it seemed more a museum than a B&B, and you feel that everything is "so in place" that you don't feel comfortable to lean back and sit in the open spaces. There was an air-conditioner in our room, and cold-air was coming out, but for some reason it didn't cool down the room, maybe because the ceiling of the room was so high, we awoke several times at night due to the heat.

The palazzo is beautifully decorated and our room was spacious, spotless and so comfortable. The choice at breakfast was fantastic and the location is perfect for visiting the beautiful old town of Lecce -a 5 minute walk and you’re there! We also visited Otranto and Gallipoli both of which are easy drives and are well worth a visit and also the beautiful beach at Torre dell’Orso where the water is crystal clear. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The couple who own the palazzo are so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone wanting to stay in Lecce.

Everything! The owners have an interior design background and the attention to detail and high standard of facilities and service is evident in all facets of this bed & breakfast. Free street parking nearby and only a short walk to Lecce old city. The breakfast selection of sweet and savoury options, that changed daily (including gluten free on request) were as much of a delight to the tastebuds as the breakfast room. The rooftop terrace is an amazing area and we highly recommend relaxing there in the evening with a charcuterie board and wine.

Nothing, we would have loved to have stayed longer.

This B&B was exceptional. We had two rooms for our family of 5 that were next to each other and it worked out perfectly. The decor was on point and i especially loved the breakfast room which was so inviting. The breakfast was good and had a variety of choices. There was also a beautiful rooftop which you could see over the town and had different spots to sit and relax with wine and/or food. The hosts were wonderful as well. The location offered a quiet street but close enough to the town squares. A really lovely place.

There was nothing I could say that we didn’t like.

I travel a lot and I am very picky in the places where I stay. This location has been very satisfying. I was staying in another hotel but I had to leave there immediately. I drove to Lecce and halfway I booked Palazzo Bignami (30 minutes before arriving), solely based on the great reviews. I texted with Liana about my arrival and 30 minutes later I was greeted by her. Liana and Enzo, the couple who own the B&B, are so kind. They have a background in interior design and this is noticeable in the B&B. Spaces and rooms are decorated with such detail, every time you look somewhere, you will see something new. The B&B is very clean! I think hygiene is important and I was very satisfied. The bed felt new, the bed linnen felt new, the floors and furniture were clean. My compliments! The rooms are large, so are the sizes of the beds. For Italian standards, the shower cabinet is of a large size, which is great. The sun blinds in front of the window make minimal noise when you put them up or down, which is nice when you are trying to sleep and your neighbour uses them. You will hear nothing. Lastly, the street is very quiet, so you have a great sleep! The breakfast is of a high standard. Lots of products to choose from and a great cup of coffee. The location is great. It is 100 meters located outside of the old city centre, which puts you in a place of tranquility but with a short walk in Lecce’s buzzing city centre. It is also a 5 minute walk from the train station. Parking is free in front of the B&B. Lastly, you should ask Liana and Enzo for tips in the region. Enzo gave me the tip of driving on the east coast from north to south, as this coastal road is beautiful. Well, beautiful is an understatement as it was breathtaking. Liana and Enzo will give you great tips. I am going to visit Lecce again and I will definitely stay at Palazzo Bignami again. Best stay ever.

The room was beautifully decorated, very large and comfortable (including the bed and pillows) and impeccably clean. The photos are great, but the reality far exceeds the photos. The breakfast was delicious. The hosts were lovely, and in particular, extremely helpful with our dietary limitations. The location was a very short and pleasant walk to the main sites of the historic center. The atmosphere in the gorgeous breakfast room - in the morning and sporadically during the day was fantastic with interesting guests interacting and chatting. I can't recommend Palazzo Bignami enough!

Everything was perfect.

The Bignami's have a wonderful little bed and breakfast. The room was very clean and welcoming, but the entire B&B is well taken care of and beautifully decorated. The breakfast was very nice and I appreciated that they had drinks available for guests throughout the day. The location worked out very well, as I could park my car for free in the street and it was just a short walk to the historic center My favorite part had to be their their dog Minnie, she was so sweet and friendly!

My room was directly across from the breakfast room, which some might find loud if they are wanting to sleep in.

The property is beautiful and well located close to the train station, the room was huge and super clean, and the décor was really nice. The breakfast was also very good. There is also a huge and very pleasant terrace in the rooftop for nice city views and some relaxation. The owners Liliana and Enzo were extremely nice. They allowed me to check in once the room was ready, long before the check in time at no extra charge. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly.

Palazzo Bignami I have just enjoyed 6 wonderful days at this delightful B&B in the baroque city of Lecce. Superbly comfortable spacious spotless air conditioned room ( Junior Suite with balcony) and an enormous bathroom couldn’t have been better appointed or furnished. Design thought has gone into every decision and it shows in spades. Gorgeous terrazzo floors remained cool underfoot even when temperatures outside ran to 37C. There’s a huge terrace on the 3rd floor(elevator) that covers the whole footprint of the palazzo furnished with pergola-covered/shaded seating spaces. Beautiful in the evening ( too hot during the day for my stay). And the breakfast. Generous and wide-ranging is an understatement! Liana and Enzo are the perfect hosts - always there when you need them but otherwise working their magic behind closed doors. I am a very picky traveller but this scored a perfect 10 for me!
