La Terrazza di via Elisa0

A beautiful property in an excellent location right next to Porta San Gervasio and Villa Bottini in the centro storico of Lucca. The reception area and rooms are well furnished and have an opulent feel. One of our rooms had a view of Porta San Gervasio. The ZTL starts just past the hotel so you can safely drive right to the front door (from Porta Elisa) to drop off your baggage without a permit. There's a large terrace as part of the common area overlooking the grounds of the Villa Bottini. We hope to return in the summer to enjoy that terrace!

The only fault I could find with the hotel was that the WiFi signal was very weak in the rooms. It only worked in the common area.

Location was exactly what we wanted, right inside the walled city. The shower room/toilet was beautifully clean, with excellent walk-in shower cubicle.

On arrival, the landlord Piero said that he would not provide breakfast; we had hoped to be served breakfast on the terrace each morning. The bedroom was long but a little narrow, so the bed took up most of the width of the bedroom; we felt we had to walk around the bed all the time to get to the shower room/toilet.

Great welcome, bicycle storage, beautiful historical building sympathetically and stylishly modernised - spacious rooms, fantastic location, huge roof top terrace, hot drinks in room with fridge & safe available, secure, helpful in securing us a ( great!) restaurant reservation in amphitheater within an hour of our arrival on Saturday night! Brilliant place to stay 😊 Apologies we didn’t write in visitors book! we were too busy having a lovely time!

The host was very friendly and helpful. At our arrival he provided a map and pointed out the must visit spots of the town, as well as other useful recommendations. The room and bathroom were clean, spacious and decorated with style. After the checkout, we could leave our luggage in the apartment for a few hours. Unfortunately due to the weather we could not have breakfast on the terrace, but the leaving room is beautiful with admirable furniture and paintings.

Great value and location. Piero was also very accommodating to our travel schedule. Large room and bath, and a great private terrace (also a large and comfortable salon). Only one flight of stairs.

Situated on a busy traffic corner-- that is, busy by Lucchese standards. Not a problem for us, but there is not an elevator (but Piero arrived to carry up our luggage). The restaurant that sets up tables right under the windows can serve until midnight.

The room we stayed in is a part of a bigger apartment, it was clean, cosy and quiet, the common areas are superb - very comfortable with a very nice terrace. Location is very good - close to train station (walking distance) and close to Lucca old town. Very nice owners!

The location was great. The possibility of free parking few minutes from the accommodation. The room was spacious with two large beds. The owner is friendly and helpful person. Everything was clean and nice. I would recommend the accomodation mostly for a couple or group without children. We did not order a breakfast at the accommodation, we went to a pasticeria few steps away, where we enjoyed great croissants and cappucino.

The soap was missing in the bathroom. We found only small shower gel and shampoo. In the COVID times I would expect a soap. The window from the bathroom leads to a small courtyard above the kitchen of the restaurant, so most of the time there was an unpleasant smell from the kitchen. The most disturbing thing was a restaurant under the bedroom window. There were people sitting outside the restaurant, chatting very loudly and laughing up to 1am. It would not have bothered me if I was on my own without a child. But if you want your child to be sleeping earlier than in 1am, it is problem. But it was my unwise choice - it is common when you chose an accommodation located so centrally. So I would say that it is more suitable for your couples.

Everything was perfect. The beds were comfortable, pillows too, spotless clean, service, location. We loved Terraza de via Elisa, and would recommend it any time to everybody. Piero was taking care of everything even before we arrived. Thanks!

Just be aware that, as with most of Italy's B&B access is through a stair, which is wide and well mounted, which is why we went there despite one person in our family had a temporary move restriction.

Good location in Lucca within walking distance of everything. A bit confusing to get to because its within an apartment building so you have to make sure that you contact the owner to get there first, but otherwise seamless arrival and departure. The room was super comfy with all your bed and bathroom needs. The Terrance is a cute bonus for a breakfast outside if you want, in addition to a sweet waiting area for breakfast if you want and a lil sitting area for reading + books available.

The location was ideal, room fantastic size! The male staff member- was not very nice when I initially had trouble with my key/finding the room.
