B&B Relais Inn Lucca0

The location was great - 10 mins from the station on foot and a few mins from the busy centre, while also being close to the wall for a morning and evening passeggiata around the city. The room was perfect - lovely decor and clean linen, towels, etc. I particularly valued having a wardrobe and some additional hanging hooks on the wall for dresses and blouses. The onsite team - fabulous! Always cheerful and willing to have a chat about whatever, whilst also being super helpful and going above and beyond (e.g. checking the status of trains, providing mosquito repellent for the room even though I had just had one buzz around me!, baggage storage on my last day).

Not a big issue at all - just a warning for the impatient or nervous. The lift can be rather slow. I was on the first floor so didn't really need it but, arriving after hours, I took the lift to my room due to a heavy case - for a brief moment I was worried I was stuck and no-one was around to help, but then the doors opened and all was well again!

When I arrived late on my first night, I had been given instructions on how to enter the accommodation as there were no staff there after about 7 pm. Being on my own, tired from travelling, I was a bit worried that I might not be able to get in. However, it was very straightforward and my keys were waiting for me on the reception desk. My room was lovely and very typically Italian. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast was perfect in the morning and offered everything you could have wanted. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location was ideal. I would definitely book again if I come back to Lucca.

The hotel is lovingly decorated, the staff were all absolutely fantastic - helped me out with a sticky issue I had. Nothing was a problem. Could not have felt more at home. And everything was spotless. I didn’t sign up for their breakfast, but it smelt good! Also, the restaurant next does amazing food - not your standard Italian fare….just wow!

Hard pillows - seems to be a thing in Italy. Something that did bother me was a couple and their toddler who arrived back late (11.45pm) and made so much noise they woke me up. I actually thought they were right outside my door, but they weren’t, there was a thin party wall between us. It went on and on for nearly half an hour. Not really the hotel’s fault - you can’t legislate against inconsiderate people, but maybe do something about insulating the wall?

We were pleasantly surprised by Lucca, it's a beautiful historic town, very clean with friendly people. The lady at the reception in the B&B was equally kind and always smiling. We had a cozy, lovely, and clean room, and enjoyed excellent breakfast every morning. Thank you, we would love to come back again.

Due to our son, we would have appreciated a TV with Netflix in the room, but it's a minor thing. We enjoyed our stay regardless.

Very nice and cozy B&B. We had the “suite” with 2 rooms and it worked out great. Very good information before arrival as we had to use a code to get into the B&B as we arrived late. Everything was as expected. Great location inside the old town close to everything. Very nice breakfast and very helpful staff.

The cleaning could have been a bit better. But overall a great place to stay for a couple of days.

The location was fabulous! A stones throw away from the main square where the Luca summer festival was held. Walking distance to Puccini museum. Great restaurants all around. Marco and the whole Relais Inn Lucca Family were fantastic at making us feel so at home. Rooms are clean, breakfast was a delightful surprise and our whole stay was just wonderful. Will come back!

Very good location inside city walls but in a quiet spot. Parking also available at an additional fee but very useful. Staff extremely helpful and nice. Beautiful old building. Good price for location. Air conditioning a big bonus

Room a little dated and very heavy pillow!

Location and room. Easy walk to shops, restaurants and historic attractions.

Staff leaves at 1900, if you arrive after that you have been given an entry code for the entrance door (but the inner entrance door reportedly needs a hefty push to open..). After that everything was fine.

Overall it was great, only small thing would be to wear socks in the room the floor was dusty - to be expected in an older building

Maybe I caught it at a good time, but the price was very attractive. Possibly because they were closing for a two-day inspection on the day I departed. The location was very convenient but on the edge of the historic center. The bed linen was wonderful

I tried to add another night but it was not possible. Not their fault, was just enjoying Lucca so much I wanted to stay another day. Parking available in public spaces but expensive. Probably will not do the breakfast here, too many good places within 2 minutes walk.
