Hotel Giosue' a mare

Great private beach area, rooms were clean, excellent restaurant. Loved our private balcony overlooking the water with sunset views.

Small things about the room could have been better. For example, we were missing one side of the blackout curtains and when we asked and showed the concierge he tried to convince us that was just the style and not broken, but pictures of the same room on the website clearly show 2 curtains on either side. I need a dark room to sleep well in the mornings. The rain shower in the bathroom didn't work and the water pressure was quite low. The lack of carpet/furniture made the whole building very echoey, so the noise levels were sometimes loud. The hotel itself was quite isolated and hard to get to downtown Sorrento without a car, only real option is taxi which costs 40-50 euros one way.

The views from the hotel were beautiful. The beach onsite was really nice, though a bit crowded. The staff was extremely helpful. The drove us to meet a tour group one day, and then drove us to the train station when we checked out. They were available by text to answer any questions we had and scheduled tours for us. The breakfast was ok, there were tons of delicious pastries and fresh fruit, but would have loved savory options besides the very runny eggs and uncooked bacon on the buffet.

The hotel was extremely noisy. 2 of the nights we were there, they rented out the top floor cocktail bar for private parties that had very loud disco music thumping until 1:30 in the morning. At 6am, they had a very loud zamboni type machine that they used to smooth the sand. You could hear guests in the other rooms, and doors slamming in the hallways. Additionally, our bathroom shower did not seal anywhere, so no matter where you pointed the nozzle, it leaked out all over the bathroom floor and we had to use all of our towels to mop it up.

Everything was simply perfect. Meta is a quiet place with significantly less tourist than Sorrento itself which was a relief for us, and Sorrento is 10min walking+5 minutes by train so can be reached anytime. The town and the hotel itself is on a beatiful place, looks even better than on the pictures here. The rooms are clean and of a tasteful mediterranean style, cleaned everyday if needed, has everything a hotel room should have (italian rooms also tend to have water boiler). Beds are confy too. AC is included in the price and is more than enough. Breakfast was good and their bar and restaurant is perfect, all the dishes were very good and pizza is excelent. The roof bar has a private party almost every evening but in most cases you still can go there, it finishes at midnight and the music isn’t disturbing even with clised windows. Prizes are normal Sorrentin Peninsula prizes. They clean their beach and its water all day if needed. You have to pay for the spot there but it was half the prize of that we had to pay in Amalfi. But still the best is the staff. Everyone was super friendly, taking care of us the whole time and making our stay better only with their personality and urbanity.

The location was perfect, the breakfast was amazing and the staff were so friendly! The room has a gorgeous view overlooking the water and the appliances were modern. Can’t fault this stay

our shower could have done with a repositioning and as a guest we weren’t expecting to be asked to pay for a sun lounger at the hotel beach.

Picked this hotel for its location and we were not disappointed, you can dine in the restaurant and later fall asleep to the gentle lapping of the waves on the seashore, we had a room with a large balcony which looked onto the hotels private beach (which was thoroughly cleaned every morning). The food was of a high standard with an extensive menu and all the staff were efficient, helpful and very pleasant. There is limited parking but we travelled by train from Naples which takes about an hour then a short bus ride. Unfortunately I had my wallet stolen in Naples station, which left us with very little money and no credit cards but the hotel was very understanding even though we didn't know if we would be able to pay our bill at the end. Valerie who is part of the family who own the hotel took a couple of hours out of her busy day to drive us to the local police station to report the theft and act as translator and without her help it would have been extremely difficult.

Loved the view. The staff was excellent! So friendly. Air-conditioning was great. Found shells and sea glass on the beach. Yay! Lovely building. Pizza was Delicious! I was sick during my stay and staff brought me tea to help.

Small rooms, I don't think I received the room I thought I booked. Beach closes too early. Room could use some updates. Black sand everywhere hard to get off. They charge for everything, even a shower from the beach. Could use some better info about where to stop to park the car. Was originally directed to a different address and ended up scraping the side of my new car because roads and turns are very narrow but if I had been told where to go directly it could have helped wasn't as narrow.

For our family we wanted to be in Sorrento but not in the city area so this worked out so well for us we were able to get to the City area in less than 10 minutes by car yet we were on a private beach in a quiet location. The breakfast was lovely every morning. They have a rooftop deck for evening cocktails and snacks. The beach side restaurant was amazing , they also have a quick service food area by the beach. That is wonderful as well. A truly memorable stay !! The photo of the three ladies is me in the middle and two of the family members that run the hotel.

Totally impressed with this beautiful beach resort. Gorgeous hotel and ocean views. Very attentive and friendly helpful staff. Good restaurant and bar and beautiful rooms.

We booked a tour of Capri through the hotel for 129.00 and it was horrible. It should have been canceled. The tour company took.us out on a tour on the water for over 2 hours in an uncovered boat and we got soaked to the bone in freezing cold rain and wind. We had to stay on the island for 4 hours in the rain. They told us the wrong place to meet to return to the hotel so we had to stay another 2 hours freezing. A horrible experience. We should have been refunded our $ We had tried to cancel it 24 hours in.advance as required and they wouldn't do it. I will be taking this up with my credit card company as a dispute.

The property was beautiful and we had a balcony to overlook the water. The staff were very kind and accommodating. Parking was available which was a huge plus. There was a huge spread for Breakfast with plenty of options to choose from.

It was difficult to find at first. GPS kept taking me to another location. We eventually figured it out. We wish the beach would have stayed open longer. Closed early around 6pm.
