Le Ancore Hotel

Sitting on Le Ancore's balcony, having a glass of red wine and/or spritz, looking at Mount Vesuvius, and being breeze-kissed by the Vesuvian Sea is a transcendental experience. The accommodation is excellent, based in the remote village of Vice Equense, a great place to relax and let yourself flow with the astonishing scenario. The staff was superb, and extremely helpful (Especially Ana, who took care of all our minor challenges and made us feel at home). Make sure to look at the map before booking though because it's not in Sorrento and having a car is a must if you want to travel around. We went in Winter but I suppose that in Summer/Spring, you can just relax at the private beach. Unforgetable.

The location of the room with a balcony facing the harbor with a virw of Mt Vesuvius was heavenly. The amazing staff were happy to provide anything we wanted, and they were super friendly. The breakfast was delicious with plenty of options and perfect cappuccinos. Afternoon bites with our drinks were yummy. Anna was the sweetest!

The bed was a bit firm for us. The shower in our room was small and triangular with a curtain. It was difficult to shower, and the floor was flooded after showering. I didn't have a choice as it was the last room available when I booked my room.

The complimentary breakfast was delicious each day we were there! The pastries were always fresh made, We had a cappuccino every morning! We ended up coming down with the flu on our trip and the hotel staff, Giulia, Dario, Giacoieo, Peppe, and Maria took AMAZING CARE OF US! I cannot say enough about the care we received! They called a doctor for us to come treat us at our hotel room, they even went to the pharmacy to pick up our medication for us, and also picking us up extra liquids to make sure we stayed hydrated. Sending us breakfast to our room with a hand written note saying “we hope you feel better!” They all exceeded our expectations and treated us with so much kindness. Getting sick on vacation is never fun, but they certainly made our trip so much better with their generosity and kindness. Thank you for everything! We highly recommend Le Ancore to anyone visiting Italy!

Wouldn’t change a thing, we loved everything!

Smart, bijou, great location with all 8 rooms overlooking the bay.  I have been impressed with the solicitude of all the staff who have looked after us.  What a fabulous place to stay. 10 out 10 in everything.  We walked into town a few times and used the hotel shuttle service too. Local train provided great access to all the major sites in Napoli we wanted to see.

Shuttle service or car needed to access the nearby town if you have mobility/fitness issues. It's a steep walk with 221 steps otherwise.

The location was nice, easily accessible by car with parking option even though it was on the street across the hotel entrance. Staff was also very friendly. Breakfast was good.

The hotel isn’t a new one which is fine but rooms could have been better maintained. Level of cleanliness wasn’t very high. They seem to have missed to clean the bathroom after the previous guests as there was some hair on the floor and half used toiletries in the shower rack.

I recommend this hotel to anyone! Location - couldn't imagine to be better, staff - very friendly, helpful, giving plenty of tips/advices/recommendations, food - the most amazing cakes I've ever eaten (+ capucino/espresso = I love Italian breakfast). You literally enjoy the sea view out of your bed, which is a super relaxing and calming down experience. I would truly recommend this place and definitely come back.

Very well located within easy access to Sorrento, Pompeii, Vesuvius and other tourist areas. Staff friendly and helpful. Very small property with a personal service. The balcony is a lovely sun trap and the breakfast is excellent.

The rooms are tiny! upgrade to a superior double if you can but lack of storage is an issue with only 5 hangers and 2 drawers provided for 2 adults in both styles of room. the bed linen and towels are very tired and needed changing more often than necessary.

The hotel is small (only 8 rooms) which is exactly what we like. The rooms are lovely and clean and the staff are also absolutely lovely and always willing to help and give advice. You can use the pool, beach, etc of the hotel next door which is much bigger and busier - the pools are so nice! We enjoyed a bit of a busier atmosphere there during the day and then going back to our quiet hotel, sitting on the balcony to take in the views and watch the hustle and bustle below!

Beautiful Hotel with a homely feel large house feel with beautiful décor in the lobby/bar area. Just 8 rooms and all with sea facing balcony with chairs and an amazing view! Great breakfast on the waterfront overlooking the marina. Full use of the sister hotel next door including private beach and 5 pools. It really is a hidden gem this hotel :-)

The Le Ancore Hotel is located in the Harbour / Marina of Vico Equense. This lovely small hotel was a great base to explore Sorrento and Amalfi. The free secure parking was ideal. Our room was clean and bright with a small balcony. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely come back.

We ordered wine in the daytime and evening time but the evening time we were charged restuarant rates (higher). This was not explained until check out.
