Hotel Torre Barbara

Great terrace - amazing views - good size rooms - free shuttle bus - good choice of breakfast - great food in general / fantastic staff very helpful all of them! Great base to explore other areas from - close to rail network - easy to get to Pompeii, Vesuvius, Herculaneum and Sorrento!

Hard to get anywhere without the shuttle bus - roadside not beach front- website advertises 400m from beach - this is downwards - beach inaccessible by foot- however free shuttle bus is every hour. Rooms do not have a private balcony - only outside space is the shared terrace which is where people dine. No where to dry out wet clothes - these are small gripes as we loved it.

Location was a bit out of the way but there is a shuttle bus and public bus stop opposite the hotel. We hired a scooter for 2 days to visit positano and Amalfi and this was great the hotel sorted out delivery of the Vespa and was cheaper than we could’ve got it locally or online. Staff very friendly especially the woman who works in the restaurant didn’t get her name but really accommodating, hotel does good options at breakfast

Taxi’s are rare and expensive to get to the location. Only hot breakfast food was scrambled egg, toast and bacon. No beans or sausages. But still plenty of other nice pastry options and granola.

Beautiful hotel with amazing scenery and views. Staff were really friendly and helpful. 6 of us even got stranded one evening in Vico Equense centre (the shuttle bus didn't turn up) and the hotel sorted it all out to get us collected and brought back to the hotel. Breakfast is lovely on their terrace also the pool area is great and lots of space and sun beds for everyone. They have a free shuttle bus to the beach and centre as well.

Shuttle bus timings were different to what the hotel shared with us. Was fine as we worked it out in the end so no dramas 😀

Property was beautiful with a great view overlooking the ocean. The staff was helpful and attentive... We would definitely return for a future stay : )

Property sits up on a steep overlook; and, driveway was difficult to get in and out of (dangerous) since adjoining road was on a curve and it was difficult to see oncoming traffic. Not for the faint at heart when driving ;} Also, we were in one of the rooms at the top that only had a small port window... Should have spent the money to be in a different room with more windows... Next time!!! : ) <3

The property itself is gorgeous, set on the hillside and overlooking the ocean (20mins to Sorrento). The pool, terrace and rooms were all lovely. The staff were absolutely fantastic and obviously love working there.

There was really nothing we didn’t like- just a few small improvements. The restaurant needs some music (quiet is great but it needs some atmosphere) the drinks and pizza night felt a bit over priced meaning we spent more time in Vico Equense rather than at the hotel itself which was a shame given it was so lovely.

A small hotel perched high on a cliff overlooking Mount Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Views are simply breathtaking. The friendliness of the staff…amazing. The food..outstanding. The cleanliness and comfort of the rooms… second to none. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Thank you to all the staff who made this holiday for myself and my partner simply unforgettable. We were very sad to leave but came home with wonderful memories and an even greater love of Italy.

Absolutely nothing!

We loved our stay here! The view from the balcony is absolutely stunning, and the pool area is super cute as well. We only ate the restaurants for breakfast, but it was great and the staff were all super friendly and helpful. They even let us keep our car there for 3 nights while we travelled to Capri. Highly recommend!

The location isn't ideal if you don't have your own car (we did, thankfully). They offer a shuttle but apart from that you're really kind of stuck because the road (highway) directly in front of the place isn't safe for walking.

Stunning views, amazing staff especially Renato, Mary, Sara, Riccardo and Chef Bruno!! We loved our room with a balcony and terrace, with an amazing view. We enjoyed several meals at the hotel in the evening, with delicious food and great drinks - especially Welcome to Paradise cocktail 🍹 Chef Bruno made some fantastic pasta dishes and desserts! Would definitely return if we come back to the area. Thank you Torre Barbara for a wonderful stay 🤩

The only issue we faced was the free shuttle service wasn’t running as usual on a few of the days which made it a little trickier to get around.

Breakfast was very good with a very large range of choice. The evening meals we had were excellent. The choice of wines was mainly from the local area. The pool and facilities were excellent. The views from our balcony, dining area and pool were fantastic. All of the staff were faultless and could not of done more to make our weeks stay as enjoyable as possible.

Access to the Hotel was rather difficult with the busy main coastal road but, not a major problem.

We read in a review that the staff here was nice & it’s so true. from the moment we arrived to checking out, they were exceptional! so attentive and helpful and kind. great drinks and food! the view was outstanding! the room was very clean. We had one night and two days at this property and didn’t feel a need to leave, so we ended up not driving to the amalfi because we liked it here so much 😅. they have a free shuttle to a beach, breakfast was delicious, they had omelettes and pancakes and we could order cappochinos. this stay made our trip!
