Urban Hive Milano

This hotel was recently renovated and re-opened in January 2023. Being so new, everything was clean and in excellent order. The staff was very friendly and helpful (spoke excellent English). Breakfast had a very nice selection of foods and delicious fresh fruit cups. It is a half block from the metro station (Milan Metro is very reasonable and very easy to navigate, just remember to tap in and out using the same credit card - each rider uses their own and is charge daily depending on your usage). The hotel is also a short walk from many good restaurants and the Sforza Castle.

This hotel is simply amazing and the location couldn’t be better! I’ve been to Milano around 15 times prior to this trip, but I’d definitely try and book this hotel again in my next visit. If you’re looking to stay in the heart of the city without it feeling too touristic (walking to Duomo takes 15-20 mins), this is the perfect place! It’s clean, modern and well equipped with great attention to detail (the shower gel, soap, etc. comes from a high end brand, each room is equipped with a coffee machine and lovely chocolate). What made this stay even better is the staff - it started with the lady at the check-in, super nice and helpful with some great local tips and finished with the amazing bar staff, which went above and beyond to let us taste wines and whiskeys and was extremely pleasant and warm. Grazie mille and hope to be back soon!

My daughter and I were very pleased with the room and the staff. Location: perfect and room were perfect. We ate breakfast in the neighborhood except for one day and enjoyed that one day very much!!! We will definitely return.

One minor thing: getting into the tub to shower was a little hard for me, climbing over the high bathtub but nothing I could not manage. Loved the bathroom and the shower.

Breakfast and how attentive the employees were to us pleased us every morning. Everything was tasty and fresh, the cappuccino with a heart was incomparable. The staff are very attentive, always on the spot, smiling and responsive, professionally and patiently.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has been renovated to a very high standard, everything is immaculate and very tastefully finished. Very clean, super nice shower/bathroom. The room was very quiet at night and the location was perfect, just a short walk to the centre and in a nice neighbourhood.

We can't fault a thing - perfect place to stay!

The hotel is located in a really nice area very close to the city centre. Also, the Metro station is 2 minutes away. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bakeries close to the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was really lovely and clean, perfect for a couple. The breakfast price was different from what has been indicated on Booking.com. By the time we made our reservation Booking was showing a price of £13 pp for the breakfast available in the property. When we arrived we were kindly advised that the breakfast is 18 euro if we added this during our check-in for the days of our stay and 22 euro pp if we just have it on the day. That was not an issue for us. Thank you we had a lovely time.

The location is excellent and the room was mostly clean. We were able to tap drinkable water easily during extremely hot days and the breakfast was very nice.

Hardly anything. The staff were friendly but forgot to get us nespresso cups. And something odd happened: we’re a male/female couple and both the booking itself and the credit card used for the booking were in my name only. However, when we decided to add breakfast, they asked specifically my male partner to sign for it. Why not the actual owner of the credit card, or the person who made the booking? Also, there was a pair of dirty socks not belonging to us lying around on one of the high shelves. My Dutch giant of a husband spotted them, we guessed you had to be really tall to see them at all, so no big deal.

Everything was just perfect! From the decor, to the location, to the friendly and helpful staff, it was really such an enjoyable stay. Rooms were so clean and modern. We were taken care of so well and we felt so comfortable here. We had a last minute flight cancellation/ change which meant we needed to check out early and organise taxi’s last minute and the hotel staff were so comforting during a stressful situation, organising everything and even sorted us out with a breakfast box to go in the early morning. We were also treated to a welcome drink voucher and the cocktails were so on point. The staff also gave the best restaurant recommendations. The bathroom was the best I’ve ever had in Europe! Breakfast was also so good with all dietaries catered for with the gluten free options being surprisingly tasty.

Perfect location with a lot of restaurants nearby and walking distance from the duomo, the Leonard's garden and the city center. Lovely decoration, staff was very welcoming and the breakfast delicious.

The hotel facilities listed on Booking.com includes a parking, what isn't mentioned anywhere is that the parking is 45€/ day and that of you're driving there you'll have an extra 5€charge (in cash) just for driving down the road where the hotel is located. Also that whole online check in thing is pointless as when you arrive you have to show your passports again, and your card etc so basically a normal check in. The duvet had that weird half cover sheet instead of a proper cover which means the duvet isn't fully enclosed and you end up sleeping touching the same duvet everyone before you, not very sanitary. There's no soundproofing with the other rooms or the street, it is a fairly lively neighbourhood so you do get quite a lot of noise from people fairly late.

Service from the staff was excellent and was the main memory I'll take away. Jacopo at reception was brilliant and looked after us very well, including recommending restaurants and reserving a table . Anna at breakfast looked after us like we were a guest at her home. Looks like the hotel has been converted from a former office block, but done very well. If I had to stay for longer, I feel I would be very comfortable. Location around the hotel was very good too, lots of restaurants and bars. Conveniently located to the Metro station Moscova just a few steps away.
