Hotel Le Macine

Beautiful location, friendly helpful staff, comfortable modern rooms each with its espresso machine, exceptional restaurant one of the best in the area. Needed 40mins to 1 hour to get to all the major tourist spots in Tuscany from all directions so we were in the middle of Tuscany and roads, directions were very good. The hotel is a hidden gem with 13 rooms in the old part of the village. It’s a few steps away from the old Centre in Montaione with its quant square a couple of bars, pizzerias and restaurants and supermarket. This small stoned hotel in this part of Tuscany can not be better situated to get a real taste of Tuscany life. It has an amazing view while you have delicious breakfast with something for everyone including freshly made tarts if you have a sweet tooth. I can’t say enough about this place, we were on a budget but we got so much more for our money. We ate at the hotels restaurant over half the nights because it really is amazing and better than many others especially in the tourist spots so save your appetite to get back to the comfort of this hotel and enjoy a delicious meal with attentive friendly staff on its veranda overlooking the Tuscan hills.

Great location to explore the surrounding area if you have a car. Florence, Pisa, San Gimignano are all great places for day trip drives. A car is essential. The town/village itself is a small place to stroll around with a few restaurants and bars to choose from. Not your typical tourist town but a more authentic Italian feel to it. The hotel was clean and tidying, the staff welcoming. The room spacious with an excellent view of the countryside. The restaurant in the hotel was great, food was excellent. We ate there twice it was definitely worth it. Make sure to book a table especially on the weekend because it gets busy.

The bed was quite hard for us, we much prefer a soft bed. The hotel can be loud, especially early in the morning. There are only 13 bedrooms in a quirky layout which is nice but noise of opening and closing doors echoes through the hotel. Saying that it wouldn’t put me off staying again.

The hotel is located in the middle of a small town centre with fantastic views-you can watch the sunset and the sunrise as well within 2 minutes walk. Free Car park is smaller but we always managed to find space. The restaurant view is just breathtaking. Room was very clean and modern look, bed was very comfortable with again great view over Tuscany. Breakfast is continental with good quality. The staff were genuinely superb-everyone very kind, always smiling, very positive and genuine. I can only recommend for everyone, gives a taste of Tuscany. Thank you!

Was nothing to unlike

This is one of the most beautiful bouteque hotels that we have ever stayed at. It is a perfectly restored stone building in a lovely, small, walkable Tuscany village. The room had a separate jacuzi and shower room. The small restaurant served delicious dinners and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious

Staff is super friendly and helpful, Nice big room, very clean, comfortable bed, Breakfast is nice, Beautiful view, There are bars and restaurants nearby, Supermarket nearby

Pictures of superior room is a bit misleading, there is no balcony in every superior room. There was a problem with the shower, hot water would stop every few minutes. Breakfast could be much better with sliced vegetables and fruits

The staff were very friendly and willing to do anything to make our stay more comfortable. The rooms were clean and nice. The location is good as you can walk to the shops nearby and the breakfast was decent.

The hotel is right on the main road through the town and looks onto the Coop parking lot which wasn’t great as we wanted to feel in the countryside in Tuscany.

Beautiful view and in close proximity to several pearls of Tuscany. Two level room with jacuzzi bathtub was a pleasant surprise. Personnel helpful to recommend places to visit. Fresh pastry and freshly brewed cappuccino for breakfast. On-site parking.

Some vegetables for breakfast would have been great, yet well compensated with local fruit.

We had the most enjoyable 6 night stay at the hotel in May. The hotel itself is great: rooms are great; the breakfast is fantastic; perfectly located for exploring all parts of Tuscany; and the staff working there are so so so great. We had an absolute blast and would be back in a heartbeat.

Good possiton in Toscany. Nice hote and also small city. Free parking place.

I would like to recommend more skill staff on reception (missing information about local restaurant, wine shop and etc.)

Extremely friendly staff, the hotel is beautiful, the food (breakfast and dinner) was amazing. This was the best hotel we have ever been, thank you Hotel Le Macine for the great experience!
