Hotel Cineholiday

Mum and daughter on our first visit to Naples. Great place to stay near Garibaldi Central Station, which was 5 minutes walk away, easy access for our visits to Sorrento, Pompeii and using the Metro around Naples. The area was a bit of a culture shock, but by the end of our 4 days we'd had a great time and will have lots of good memories. All the staff at breakfast were lovely; time slots are required as limited tables, but staff have it all working extremely well. The room was big and quirky, it wasn't all perfect but it didn't need to be. Aircon was great. The balcony doors opened so that was nice in the morning. A fridge for our water bottles, hooray!. A transfer from the airport was booked quickly after my initial enquiry and we paid for it at the end of our stay - thank you Luigi. Train route advice too. Thanks to the night staff and cleaning ladies who do a great job. Midday checkout is a real bonus and was great for us. Yes there is graffiti on many of the street walls in this area and all over Naples, and some of the area is run down, but who cares, we were here to experience Naples and the surrounding area and we had a great time doing so from a well located hotel. :)

The entrance to the hotel was a bit daunting at first and we wasn't sure how to get in. We managed to get access as someone was coming out (we arrived very late at night). There is actually a buzzer you can push to the right of the door but we didn't know which number or button to press. For guests arriving late at night when the door is locked maybe this information could be given in email or text. I'm sure it would be really helpful. The entrance is open in the day time.

The accommodation was absolutely great! Stylish, spacious and clean. The room has its own bathroom and toilet. I really appreciated the great breakfast. Absolutely delicious croissants, home-made jams, fruit, ham and cheese, plus always something to taste from the home kitchen. Despite the fact that the hotel is located right next to the train station, I had no problem finding it, although of course you are not in the village :) If we were to return to Naples, we agreed that we would stay here again. I booked this hotel because I liked the look of the place - it seemed to have a lot of character, and I got the sense it was a family business. I was correct on both fronts. The owner, Anna, proudly explained the concept of the hotel as I was checking in, and I really appreciated her passion for the themes of the various rooms. She also gave me excellent tips for things to see and do I hadn't even thought of or knew about (a ferry to Capri, sights of the Old City etc). She was friendly and warm. Breakfast was included, and was one of the highlights of the hotel for me. Normally I skip breakfast, but I couldn't help myself when it came to breakfast here. Not only was it a nice spread of local specialities and had a lot of the character of Naples, but Anna herself baked the lemon cake and the marmalade was homemade by her also. I am not a fan of marmalade usually, but I made an exception in this case and I'm glad I did, Anna's homemade recipe was fantastic. The room itself was clean and neat, and offered plenty of room. While it's not some fancy schmancy hilton hotel, it's all the more charming because of it! You are getting a real experience of Naples hospitality when you stay here. The hotel is very close to Naples main station, less than a 10 minute walk once you arrive. It's just off the main square, down a quiet side street.

The late night staff on Reception (I believe his name was Antonio), was absolutely excellent and welcomed us, checked us in and showed us to our room. It was seamless and he was absolutely brilliant. Breakfast included within the price as well - when we checked in we were asked to choose from a time slot. Plenty of continental options to choose from! I honestly could not recommend enough and if I am ever to visit Naples again, I will most certainly be staying here!

Only a very small comment, which is that the signage outside is a little difficult to find at night. But apart from that there are no complaints!

We booked this hotel to arrive Christmas day. We were very late arriving due to Aeroplane problems and rental car breaking down. Was in constant touch with Luigi, part of the family that ownes the hotel. I really don't know where to start singing the praises of this wonderful family. I called when we were 15 mins away and although Christmas day, you must appreciate this is a small hotel, was met by Luigi, the son. We booked the hotel 8 months previous before they realized it was Christmas day and would be closed to spend time together. Rather than letting us down by canceling our reservation they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were the only people in the building and they told us to make ourselves at home, help ourselves to anything we wanted (settling up when we left) and handed us the keys to let ourselves in and to lock up. The following day the mother and daughter came in to make us breakfast. This may all sound weird and unprofessional but you really had to experience it yourself . We were made SO welcome. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Shower was a little small but given the limited space it was more than adequate.

Everything was fine. The staff of the small family hotel was very friendly if you needed them. The hotel was super cute with film posters and decorations. The location was ten minutes away from the historic centre of adorable amazing Naples and just a five minutes walk to Garibaldi Station. Many azilants are on the street, but they are peaceful people and don't cause any problems.The place was safe. We recommend it.

Entrance to hotel appalling - really off putting. There was a sign apologising for the state of it, but 'first impressions' etc. There was a lift which wasn't working, so we had to haul our large, heavy suitcases up a steep, narrow staircase. Breakfast was a joke. Our first morning, there was a nice selection of the usual continental offerings, but with each morning as guests ate the fare, it diminished until our last morning when one croissant and a piece of stale bread was all that was left. I wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't stay there again.

The accommodation is in a very good location, the airport bus and public transport are a few minutes away, but the main attractions are also easily accessible on foot. Quiet rooms despite the central location. The bathroom is small but very clean. We had delicious breakfast with homemade cakes and jam. The hosts (Luigi) were kind and flexible. I recommend the accommodation. It is also a good starting point for excursions.

I loved everything about this hotel, the staff were absolutely lovely, the room was fabulous (I had a balcony!!) And the breakfast was a really great way to start the day! Also they stored my backpack for me on my final day so I could explore the city for the final time. I will be recommending to everyone :) When I come back to Napoli I'm going to try a reserve a room here again.

Nothing I didn't like - honestly was a great hotel, in a great location with friendly owners/staff

Great location - close to metro, train station and walkable to tourist areas. Good breakfast - albeit you need to a book a timeslot as the room is small. Staff are really friendly and very helpful. Rooms are kept really clean and are well equipped - A/C and fridge, shower has plenty of pressure and hot water and it is really quiet at night. Good eateries and grocery stores are also nearby. Given the cost of rooms in Naples this was great value
