Hotel Igea

Very clean and appeared well maintained. Nice Italian breakfast. Close to Basilica of St Anthony and tram line. Within walking distance of city center. Staff were very helpful and made excellent recommendations for places to eat nearby. Cost was very good. The hotel is essentially easy to find.

Parking a bit of a challenge. Public parking in front of the hotel was expensive, but hotel parking a bit away was 12 euro per day. Shower temperature was variable. Streets are a bit narrow getting there if you have a large vehicle.

We booked this one day before we arrived so we didn't have very high expectations. Good location for the Botanical Gardens (oldest in the world) and the Basilica of St Anthony. Good value for money, helpful English speaking staff, excellent AC since the high temperature s were in the low 30's C, good breakfast check out is at 11:30 so later than many hotels.

This is not a complaint, but an observation. The paid parking garage is about 100 meters from the hotel, and costs 12 Euros per day (very reasonable in a large city). Some other reviews stated the older part of the hotel needed updating. Maybe, but for the price and location, we were pleased.

The reception lady was very nice and friendly. She told us what to see in Paldova, where to go, when to go, etc... She even drew everything on a map. She was also the bartender at the bar, where she was very good and we had a nice chat with her. There was a small misunderstanding about the booking which was dealt with very smoothly and quickly. Breakfast was also very good. The hotel is within easy walking distance of any attraction or landmark.

Parking is clearly the bottleneck. The accommodation does not have its own car park, there is only one public car park at the entrance, which is paid and very narrow, and it is very difficult to find a free parking space. Parking is also a problem in the area in general.

The staff is exceedingly friendly at this hotel, where we have stayed many times. This time we had a special request, because of my wife's recent knee operation, she needed to frequently put an ice pack on her knee. The staff very kindly put the gel packs in the freezer for us. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Temperature setting in the bedroom was very difficult to set. It was exceedingly warm in the room, which made it difficult to sleep. We asked the staff about it and they switched off the electricity for the heating. This made it a bit better, but it was still very warm.

Everything!! Not that I expected anything different, but the people in the hotel were so nice. The reception personnel were always smiling, sweet and helpful. They helped me with a lot of advice about how to go and return from a concert i was attending. Since it was very hot outside when i left, and I didn’t want to go outside in the city before i had my bus in the afternoon, they let me stay inside at their bar. Room was very clean, one of the cleanest i have ever seen. Bathroom also, and it seemed rather new, everything perfectly functional. Thankfully, the room also had a mini fridge and air conditioning, perfect for the hot and humid summer here in Padova.

No complaints at all. Guests were quiet, room too.

Very nice hotel in great distance from city center (under 10 minutes walk to city center - Piazza della Frutta or Prato della Valle). Staff on reception was very nice and helpfull with direction to parking, or to the city center. Hotel have a elevator for families with stroller. Drection for parking was sent via text, but I had to ask one more time upon our our arrival.

Doors on our room had to be locked all the time because when we closed doors on toilets, door to our room just opened. Breakfast was very poor for price of 8 eur per person - few yougurts, cereals and one small pile of ham and one pile of sliced cheese at 9:00 am.

Location was perfect, so was communication with the hotel. Check-in and check-out went smoothly, even though I arrived in the middle of the night. Breakfast was served between 7 and 10am, so it was convenient both for early-birds and for late-sleepers. Wide choice of coffee/tea for breakfast, several types of cereals/ joghurts/ many types of croissants, always some cake / bread and buns/ ham and cheese/ eggs / toasts/ limited variety of fruit (apples and kiwi), no vegetables.

Rooms are quite noisy. One can hear everything that happens in the adjacent room (any coughing, talking, TV) and on the street. The street is quite calm, fortunately. Rooms next to the elevator or central AC have extra noise.

The hotel staffs were very friendly and helpful. We checked in quite late at night due to the delayed train, the lady waited for us patiently and welcomed us when we finally arrived. When we checked out, they allowed us to pay the city tax with credit card instead of cash, which is quite convenient to us because I didn't have much cash. The staff also provide us information about where to buy the bus ticket. This sounds trivial but actually is very helpful to us. The breakfast buffet is definitely a highlight that is beyond my expectation and the kids loved it. We have two adults and two kids, so the hotel prepared us a room with a king size bed, a twin bed and an extra folding bed. Room is very clean. It was hot in Padova in July and the hotel room's AC works well. Hotel WiFi service works perfectly as well.

The hotel is about 1.5-2km away from the train station and is pretty close to the Byzantine Basilica of Saint Anthony. The hotel location is pretty good. But the weather in July and the unpredictable bus services adds a little inconvenience to the trip between hotel to train station.

The location in the city is good, but there are few public transport stations around. The breakfast was good, but the options were limited. The room was nice and clean, and the staff was nice and helped me with calling a taxi or getting information about the city. I liked that a few day before check-in I received an email with instructions on how to reach the hotel.

Although the interior is modern and nice, on the outside the building has a very old-style look which, at first glance, gives the impression of a very bad hotel.

The room was very cozy and have a really nice lateral view of churches in Padova. Is 15 mins walk from the city center and really worth if you are looking to stroll around the city. Very spacious room just like in the picture and hotel staff was very welcoming.

Not a fan of the leave your keys to the reception kinda person (which is not mandatory with them, just a preference if you don’t wont to carry around the massive keychain - which I took off). What I did not like about was the bathroom, as the shower had moving walls that would flood the rest of the bathroom if not careful. Also the toilet bin was not emptied before I arrived as there were several pieces of trash by someone else.
