San Ranieri Hotel

My partner, myself and our 6 month old needed somewhere to stay before travelling to Tuscany. We were very impressed with the hotel and would stay again. Staff were very welcoming on arrival. It was first time travelling with a child and they made it very easy. They had a cot prepared. The room was clean, tidy, well presented, modern and functional. We ate in the restaurant in the evening. Food and wine was exceptional. Breakfast was perfect. Continental with hot and cold options and a freshly squeezed OJ machine! Parking was right outside the hotel and was free and felt secure. Wasn't noisey at all despite being near airport.

Nothing.

Our flight was delayed and we didn't arrive until after midnight but reception was manned and welcoming when we arrived. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had two triple rooms and they were clean and well maintained. We had hired a minibus and I was pleased to find that there were three parking areas (two were free and one underground which had a small fee) and I was able to get the vehicle parked fine. The hotel has a definite style which is quite powerful and not necessarily to everyone's taste - quite an industrial feel to it. Don't expect "cosy"!

The rooms were very hot when we arrived - around 28 degrees C so we needed to put the a/c to work to get it down to a manageable temperature for sleeping.

Everything - Room, Location, Fab Breakfast

Had a good welcome by staff, very accomodating, supporting my early check in. Terrific room, light setting all clean, free toiletries and pretty much everything to rate 4*, nice breakfast with plenty of choice. Very efficient taxi service arranged by hotel Good location, just 20mins bus ride and few mins walk from Pisa Centrale train station and 10mins to airport, just great for a one day stay Just gutted that it rained and I couldn't use the garden bar

Been here before six years ago on our honeymoon. Rooms are good. Beds massive and comfy, extra pillows are nice, plenty of free toiletries, good TV, loads of sockets and lights. Storage and fridge mini bar. Big walk in shower. Plenty of towels. Breakfast was good and fairly varied and the staff are very friendly.

Could do with a kettle and cups in the room. The place is starting to look a bit tired in places. We didn't eat evening meal as last time it wasn't worth the money. Looked at the menu and did eat round the corner at Vecchia Cascina instead

For me, the location is important as it is near a hospital I regularly have to visit. The breakfast excellent and the restaurant exceptional. The icing on the cake are the staff whether at the front desk or in the restaurant. Incredible team. I have used this hotel more than 200 times. I need not say more

That I have to leave and that now I have been transferred to another hospital, so I cannot visit.

On our last night in Italy, we treated ourselves to dinner at the restaurant- a little on the pricey side but remarkably good. Very handy for the airport-about 8 minutes by car. We skipped the 10Euro breakfast with an early flight. (Airport croissants and coffee were fine)

There appeared to be no way to turn off the bathroom basic light, though extra illumination came on through a sensor when entering. This was very bright and startling when "making use of the toilet" in the middle of the night. A little surprised not to find a coffee available when we arrived (well ahead of expected time) but were pointed 200yds down the road to a very nice cafe/restaurant instead.

Wow, what a place to stay, from the unusual looking outside of the building to the glass lifts to the space age corridors to the space age rooms, all excellent. The breakfast selection was awesome.mmmm cherry pie. A great selection of cheese and cold meats as well.

Having to pay for parking my car in the underground car park, but only €15. Nothing else really comes to mind.

Excellent one night stay in delightfully quirky hotel. Excellent evening meal and breakfast in restaurant. Huge choice and variety of breakfast items. Helpful staff.

We booked two rooms, each with twin beds but were given doubles. As we'd been upgraded and it was only for 1 night, we accepted the error! On arrival at our floor by lift, everywhere was in darkness so very difficult to find our way to the rooms! Perhaps the hour change meant the lights were out of flunter?

Great hotel, clean, trendy, good location for Pisa airport

The hotel was a bit quiet - no one in the bar, restaurant quiet in the evening. Event on at the hotel for first day and a half so couldn't use the restaurant/bar on those days and not many options nearby to eat/drink - fortunately there was a nice one which the hotel recommended around the corner so it wasn't really an issue.
