NH Pisa

The location of this hotel was great! It was directly outside the central train station and right in front of the bus station / stops too! The staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful. They all spoke great English and had no problem in helping with any questions I had or phoning taxis for me. My phone charger broke whilst there and the reception staff gave me one to use for free for the rest of my stay! The room was big and spacious and we loved the big bath in our bathroom!

My only problems during the stay were that the room was SO hot at night! I could not figure out the air con system, but I am sure if I had of asked reception they may of helped with it. Although the location of the hotel was great and easy to get to from the central station for trains or buses, this did make it very noisy at night. Lastly, our toilet flush broke on the last night which meant the toilet was constantly on flush and disturbed us through the night.

We were told that the law in Italy states that air conditioning cannot be used when the weather isn't above a certain value. The problem with our room was that we had to open the windows to cool it down, with the consequence of having to put up with the buses right outside the window standing with their engines running. We asked for a higher room but were told wanting twin beds meant we had to have a first floor room. Which rather strangely also was designed as a disabled room. I'm not sure if NH are saying anyone wanting a twin room must be disabled??

Location of hotel is excellent, 1 minute walk from Pisa Centrale Train station. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room is clean and tidy and good air con as warm outside, fresh smell in room as well. Bathroom facilities excellent. Comfortable bed and big size as well. Everything in room worked well. Great location for visiting Pisa as short walk into central Pisa, 20 minute walk to leaning tower or 1 minute walk to Bus stop for bus travelling to leaning tower from hotel, and access to Train Station for visiting other areas in Tuscany.

Breakfast was ok but normal European breakfast standard.

Location was fantastic for Pisa Central Station, it’s right across the road. Bus service very regular which takes you to the Leaning Tower of Pisa etc. We walked back and found some fantastic places to eat and the sunset over the bridge was lovely.

Waiting staff were miserable as sin. The hot breakfast was scrambled eggs, mixed veg and broccoli. There was the usual continental breakfast as alternatives. Definitely a transit hotel, where people stay as a stop over whilst in onward transit. There was water damage in the bathroom to the vanity unit and the plug in the bath was broken.

The hotel is in a great location just across the plaza from the main railway station in Pisa. The full time reception staff are very professional. There is a range of snacks and drinks available to purchase in the lobby and plenty of seating areas to relax. We did not eat breakfast at the hotel due to our scheduling . The plaza outside was undergoing some renovation but this looked like it was nearing completion.

We booked a (superior) top floor room overlooking the plaza with a balcony . The balcony itself seemed to be undergoing some repair work with plaster hacked away in many places as if to investigate the structure of the balcony. I think this should have been brought to our attention when checking in.

We stayed at the NH Hotel because it was super convenient: across from the railway station; "people mover" to the airport; a walk thru the square took you to all the restaurants and shopping center; a 20 min. walk to the Leaning Tower. It could not be in a better location!!!!! The front desk was very accommodating in keeping our luggage in storage before our room was ready and even after we had checked out of our room. Thank you for that!

We stayed at the NH twice, once going to Lucca from the Pisa Airport and once catching a flight from Pisa to Amsterdam on our return. On the first occasion we had a great room, totally renovated on an upper floor and second time we had a beat up room on the first level. They must be doing a renovation because the contrast was unbelievable! On the lower level, the bathroom was unbelievably abused with broken tiles and very shabby all around! In both cases though, the King size bed was the most comfortable bed that we had in Europe!

I have stayed here 3 times. Good clean rooms and helpful staff. The location is perfect for quick & easy access to the main train station (across the street) and airport (about every 10 minutes there is a PisaMover shuttle for the 5 minute ride between train station & airport). Tourist sights & restaurants are within walking distance. They will securely store luggage if you arrive too early to check in, etc. The buffet breakfast is good, with nice variety (eggs, meats, fruits, vegetables, pastries. yogurt, cereal. The coffee is from a self serve machine, so it is not the best, but overall very convenient.

We chose this for its great location, just in front of the railway station and so very easy to access the airport (via Pisamover for 5 Euros and takes 5 minutes) and the city itself. However, the facilities were much better than a traditional 'station hotel' - the breakfast was truly exceptional, as were the rooms we were given - it was the basic normal bedroom we booked, but this one had a lounge plus balcony on the entrance floor with the actual bedroom and bathroom on the next floor accessed via a spiral staircase - we must have been lucky to get this, as most rooms on the plan are more normal, but the whole thing was fabulous (bigger than our daughter's flat for instance), with great staff and made the stay unforgettable.

A very warm welcome from Francesco at reception, polite and friendly but also efficient and professional. Also guest-friendly check in with another team colleague later in afternoon. Opportunity to drop off luggage and go and explore the city prior to check in at 3.00 pm. Also had requested a quiet room and this was appreciated as on the end of the corridor and gave us a peaceful night's sleep in a very clean and spacious room with a very comfortable huge bed!!

Our shower/bath was only warm, which we coped with in the heat of summer, but I prefer a hot shower if possible

convenient to the station, felt secure

being near the station there are the usual suspects hanging around. didn’t feel unsafe per se but good for a solo traveller to be aware of
