Hotel Katty

It was in a good safe location and easy to get to places of interest. Metro was only 5 minutes walk and very easy to use. Lots of lovely restaurants all around the area. Very clean and staff very helpful. Anything you need you just need to ask. We were on 5th floor but had a little lift to get us up and down. There was four of us in a room and we had two bathrooms which was a bonus. Breakfast was 5 minute walk away in a little cafe which was a croissant and drink which was enough to start the day.

There wasn’t anything we didn’t like. It was basic but we were out all day and only needed a room to sleep in. We got a fridge, safe and air con all included in price. Very good value and got what we expected.

We stayed at Hotel Katy for 8 nights during our trip to Rome and found it to be a quality hotel, especially considering the prices they offer. The room we stayed in was very clean and had been refurbished to a high standard. The hotel staff are lovely and very accommodating if you need to check in late or early. The hotel is in a great location, just a 10 or 12-minute walk from Termini Station and in a nice, quiet area with restaurants and supermarkets nearby. The breakfast is worth getting for the extra couple of euros. It's in a cafe about a 5-minute walk from the hotel. You get a pastry and a very nice coffee which is great to set you up for a couple of hours before you go and get breakfast.

My only complaint would be that it can be noisy if other guests are coming back late and don't make an effort to be quiet.

Great location. 3 minute walk to the blue line subway, 10 to the red line. Close to two grocery stores Conad and Pam Local. Friendly staff, available 24 hours a day. Room left an impression even better than the photo. Air conditioning, mini bar. Double bed is two singles joined into one. Cleaning once a day. Change of towels once in 3 days. Breakfast (Italian) in a cafe nearby - a cup of cappuccino or juice + croissant. Sometimes they just put any croissant, sometimes they ask what kind and with what. If someone wants not Italian breakfast (American), there is a place nearby which is open from 6 am Fruit & Coffee lounge bar (Via Montebello, 100, 00185 Roma). Possibility to leave luggage free of charge on the day of departure

Staff were very helpful and cheerful. Quite location but with great accessibility to many transportation and supermarket, restaurants and there is a pharmacy in the same street. Close to Rome termini as well. Room was spacious and cleaned everyday. My daughter got sick and the staff offered great help and support.

Toiletries need improvement in quantity and quality. The room was a little bit cold and the WiFi was not working well so they offered to change our room which was very considerate from them. Overall I would stay there again if I come back to italy.

Conveniently situated to use public transport and trains to other cities. Great WIFI. We literally leave early in the morning and return late at night. So, it served that purpose. If you want a base to explore, it’s great, if you want a relax and are used to package holidays, I would avoid Rome completely. I loved Rome, Pisa and Florence during this four night stay.

Rome is cheap but hotels are not. This was on the cheaper side but still expensive.

We had a great stay in Hotel Katty! It was a in very good location for us to explore Rome on foot (and there is also a metro and train station a few minutes away). We had a driver picking us up from the airport (as we landed very late) and this and the late check-in worked perfectly. The breakfast is in a little café around the corner and was sufficient to get us energised for sightseeing. We had the family room and there was enough space for 5 of us (2 adults, 3 kids). Happy to come back one day!

The place was very good. The shower was wonderful as was the room. Spacious and warm in the winter. The bed was very comfortable. The elevator is small but ads a lot to the charm of the place. I would recommend and, in the future, I would like to book again.

Nothing. The only thing I can think of is that the elevator is quite small. If you intend on bringing a lot of bags you may need to make more trips.

We were on a budget and for that amount, Hotel Katty met our expectations. The location is alright, it's about 15 minutes from Termini train station on foot, but it's also well-connected by buses and metro. It's also not far from the Borghese Gallery and the huge park surrounding it. Even though communication was limited due to us not speaking Italian and the staff not knowing English very well, everybody was nice to us and helpful. The room is quite small, but if you spend the majority of your time in the city, you basically just go back to the hotel to sleep. Therefore, we were fine with it. The cleaning lady came every day to change our towels, make our bed and put out new toiletries. For people with heavy bags, there's an old elevator in the building - just don't forget to close all its doors in order for it to work properly (there are reminders in the corridor, too). Inside the room you have a wardrobe with a hanger, as well as a safe to keep your belongings. There's also a fridge and a TV and two nightstands next to the bed. Heating was working as well (you can change the temperature).

The surrounding neighborhood is a bit dirty and rundown, but that can be said about the whole city, unfortunately. We also paid extra for the breakfast which was somewhat disappointing - not bad, not great. It's a cup of coffee and a random pastry (usually croissant) in a pretty generic café. I'd say it was fine for a starter, but don't expect more. You can, of course, get some sandwiches or other pastries while you're in the café.

Decent apartment in a tenement house with a stylish lift. Very well located, 300 m from Castro Pretorio metro station, close to several bus lines. Termini station as the main transportation hub in Rome is within a walking distance. Cleaned every day, towels changed as required. Mini fridge was very useful, so was air conditioning. Breakfasts served in the cafe nearby, it's better to go there on your way to the centre fully equipped as it doesn't make sense to go back to the hotel. A recommendable place overall.

Wi-Fi signal strength could be improved as it's not stable enough.

Very nice place. Simple, but clean and it has everything you need for a short stay. Our room (106) was very calm (the windows to the inner yard). It was really warm, because it has normal heating system. Shower was nice, with big water preasure (as I heard it’s often a problem in other cheap hotels. The room was cleaned every day. Overall we liked our stay in this hotel very much and I would come here again as well. The location is very good - close to Termini, but in much safer area. And of course - everything’s so close in Rome! BTW, very close to this hotel we found a very nice pizzerria La Famiglia. Highly recomend! Nice simple food for very reasonable prices.

maybe breakfast outside the hotel. The coffee was nice, a pastry not very good. But we knew it in advance, so no complains :) Just for information.
