Excellent location, right at the centre. The room had a large terrace, was spacious and the bed was the most comfotable. The AC was not in the bedroom, so that is an extra plus. The check in was flexible, offered self-check in for our late arrival. The hotel gave good instructions in advance where to park closest to unload lugagges as the hotel cannot be directly approached by car.

Breakfast choices are very limited and mostly sweet only. Eggs, gluten and dairy free options, salads and more choice of vegetables and fruits would be a great addition. Free car parking was not offered by the hotel although simple internet search resulted in finding free parking just outside the island.

Ondina Maggiore and her husband were very gracious hosts. They only have the one rental on the second floor of their home. It was 3 big rooms in a historic home with a private bath. It is an older home with older furnishings. It was very clean and had a mini fridgerator. The breakfast was upstairs in their living quarters and they both served us our morning drinks of choice and had a table full of breads, sweets, yogurt, fruit, tomatoes, cheese and olives. The location was right as we drove into Risveglio Ibleo, so there were no issues of driving in this historic town of narrow roads and ZTL zones and we were able to park right in front of the door which was a bonus. It was close walking distance to everything.

It was a great room with a shared courtyard. Interesting room, I felt more like I was in Mexico than Sicily. Not a problem at all, just an observation. Staff was always helpful and held our luggage until 7:30 PM on the day of checkout. Breakfast was the typical Euro B&B breakfast and the staff was friendly.

Not the hotel's problem but the cabbie dropped us in the wrong place. It has probably only 200 feet away but it took us forever to find it with our luggage. Perhaps some expanded directions could be added into a link somewhere.

It's a very lovely place and the common areas are really well arranged, furnished and looks very classy and charming. The entrance, the stairs, the patio...all great. The location is spot on, absolutely in the heart of Ortigia (and also super close to the sea), even if parking there is impossible and definitely not cheap. My room was really big, on the second floor, and had a great veranda kissed by the sun the whole morning, and I loved it how bright it was and peaceful. Really a nice choice for my last 2 nights in Ortigia before heading back to Catania. I would definitely recommend this place. it has a great potential and also margin for improvement.

Despite a little of unexpected waiting time for the check-in (the young guy of course apologized and was kind enough to make my stay as pleasant as possible including an originally not included breakfast, which I didn't ask) I guess all was fine. I can't really say the staff was the most cheerful and smiling ever met in my life, but maybe its just the way the are/were, and its ok. For my own standards and absolutely subjective preferences, I thought the bed was too soft. The room (even if was maybe an upgrade?) could have been less dusty, and some small extra-work could be done in terms of details and maintenance but all in all, I liked it.

We were upgraded last minute to a whole apartment, which was amazing! The apartment was spacious and had a little kitchenette, which I very much appreciated. I loved that we were staying over a tourist attraction (the ancient Jewish baths) and that the hotel reflected this history.

The apartment was quite dusty and this set off my allergies. Also the toilet didn't always refill after flushing and a "nudge" was needed to set this off. Some vital kitchen implements were missing, such as a spatula and carving knife for meat.

We had a lovely stay here. The room was really large and comfortable, and the common areas at the bar are nice and cozy. The place is just a few blocks away from the main streets. We had a great breakfast and they were super kind of bringing us breakfast for our eary check out in advance. It was quite easy to find a parking place nearby, and an awesome restaurant for dinner jus outside of the touristic area.

The location is great and well situated for exploring the city. The courtyard and apartments are so nice - they look amazing. We easily parked nearby for €20 per night. Room was much larger than expected with a little kitchenette and lounge area in room.

The furniture fits the aesthetic style of the hotel apartments but is a little old - I was worried that it might break while I was sleeping (it didn't, but was nervous). The water pressure in our shower was not great but was as expected for an old city

We had to take a quad room for the two of us, so it was huge! There was a kitchenette and a large dining/living room, high ceilings, very stylish. The bed was also stylish. Our friend had a lovely regular double, his had a nice outdoor balcony/terrace. There is a communal outdoor terrace/courtyard area as well, very lovely. The WiFi was unbelievably good. The breakfast was also good, both cooked and fresh choices. The location is super, very central on a nice street.

The bathroom was a little small compared to the rest of the apartment. For me the apartment was a little dark, I would appreciate the possibility to have more light in the room, even if it must be electric.

The property has a great location and it is very charming. We were easily able to walk to everything with two children (5&7). Our room was large and the children loved the loft area for sleeping. The staff was incredibly helpful and we would highly recommend the breakfast!

While we love hotels with character, the bathroom in our room could have used some minor repairs.

Beautiful building, very cosy Ontario design and super comfortable bed. All the sights are around. They started the breakfast 1h earlier only for me because I had to leave to the airport, very nice

In the night and morning it’s very cold (I was in April), so I had to use a lot of air conditioning for heating and there’s no heating in the bathroom. Should be ok for summer though. I had a kettle in the room but no tea or coffee, the reception was closed after 13
