Sabina and Claudia were fantastic. They went the extra mile with everything and were so helpful. The breakfasts were gorgeous and fresh. We were over for our daughters wedding and stayed here afterwards. A lot of the guests also stayed in and around Syracusa. This was the only problem for us as most stayed in Ortiga which meant we were walking there at least twice a day and my husband isnt that good at walking so we had to get a lot of taxis. Not the hotel's fault really

Location a bit far out for us.

We decided to repeat the experience in Giuggiulena for a second opportunity because we were really happy to visit this great B&B. The opportunity to enjoy a sea down few steps without a crowded or massive beach, the spirit of service of owners and personnel of B&B are enough to achieve a few days of peace and relaxation. We love Sicilia and maybe you will go to another location more beautiful than Siracusa, but if you enjoy the quiet days in part of your trip, you are searching a really good accommodation with good relation price/benefit, comfortable, paradise environment with sweet and friendly people, you must visit Giuggiulena, it won't let you down.

I can't highlight nothing negative, maybe the unique point was the power of the air conditioner that wasn't enough because of these hot days.

Lovely view and direct on the water. We did a nice swim, but entry into the water is a little tricky. The hotel provided water shoes, which helped to navigate the rocks. Lots of little fish to see. The hosts were extremely pleasant and always generous and helpful. It is a 20 minute easy walk to the old Town. One time, we took a boat taxi that we found in a nearby harbor (2.50 Euro) that cut the walk in half and was a fun addition to the trip. The area was quiet and seemed very safe to walk even late at night. Fabulous breakfast with many choices, and everything looked and tasted great.

What a glorious hotel! From the incredibly kind hosts to the gorgeous room and spectacular view, this was one of the best hotel experiences I've had over decades of travel. It was amazing to be able to go down the stairs to the first floor and step right into the Mediterranean. The balcony was a lovely amenity, as we could stare at the amazing view and hear the waves all night long. Not to mention the breezes. The breakfasts were phenonmenal--different each morning with delightful handmade pastries and fresh fruit. Honestly, it was a dazzling stay. We ended up leaving our AirBnB in Trapani a night early just to come back to this gorgeous hotel on the sea. They provide towels and chairs and water shoes for navigating the rocky shore with ease, and the swimming was fabulous. We could see the sunrise, too, from our balcony.

It's useful to know that it is a mile walk to old town (Ortigia). But you wouldn't get the amazing location if it were closer. I didn't mind the distance at all.

Sabrina was a gracious host during our stay. She provided information, made reservations for us at restaurants and made us feel at home. The views from our room and the dining terrace were amazing. Being able to start the day enjoying the Ionian Sea during breakfast was a highlight. There was plenty to choose from at breakfast, sweet bakery items, salty Italian meats, fresh breads, fresh fruit, juice, coffee and cooked to order eggs. The walk to town is a distance, about a little over a mile away. We didn’t mind walking as the weather was still nice during the evening. Siracusa is a walkable town as we also walked to the see the ancient ruins.

Sabrina and Claudia were perfect hosts. Great welcome and wonderful recommendations about restaurants, bars, bike hire and other places to visit. The room was wonderful - large and spacious, huge beds, excellent quality linen and toiletries, air con, unlimited tea and coffee and very reasonable mini bar. Honesty bar on sun terrace - again comfy sunbeds and sofas, parasols and really quiet and peaceful. Views over the sea amazing and fantastic to swim every day in the warm ocean. Swim shoes, snorkels, towels etc all provided. Breakfasts were the best I have ever had: freshly cooked cakes, savouries and fresh fruit - always interesting and delicious. A real find: small, friendly hotel with a personal touch which ensured we were relaxed and happy the entire time. We cannot wait to return.

We stayed 4 nights at the end of June. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They gave us plenty of good advice for restaurants, places to visit and beaches. They even lent us an umbrella and cooler bag for the day. The room was comfortable, simple yet stylish. The balcony had great views over the sea. The breakfast was excellent, with fresh fruits, cheeses, cereals, bread and a fresh cake every morning. You can access the sea for a swim directly from the hotel which we did every morning . They have water shoes available to use, as the entry in the water is over rocks. The rooftop terrace is also amazing! I highly recommend this hotel.

Walking to Ortigia takes ~30minutes and is not interesting. We walked anyway and didn’t mind it so much. We knew it when booking the hotel.

A small little hydeaway - very individual - you feel like being part of a family. Sabrina tried to help wherever she could - without disturbing our privacy. It's a special feeling to hear the waves during the night from the rooms located just above the ocean. We really enjoyed our stay! And: Claudia, the breakfast was wonderful!

20 minutes to Ortigia (But - It's totally okay to walk a bit after dinner...)

Our stay at Giuggiulena was excellent. Claudia and Sabrina were fantastic hosts. The location is amazing and the view from our balcony was breathtaking. The breakfast was lovely with home cooked bakes. We would stay there again and would definitely recommend Giuggiulena to anyone wishing to stay in Siracuse. Thank you to Claudia and Sabrina for making our holiday so memorable.

Giuggiulena is a dreamy place, everything is perfect, to the smallest detail. You can step from the lower floor right into the sea and the view is nothing beyond amazing! The staff is lovely, everybody made us feel at home and helped us to make our stay comfortable and care free. We travelled with our two boys and they had a blast with the snorkel equipment, the homemade breakfast and the Aranciata from the minibar.
