Hotel Punta Tipa

Hotel itself is fairly new and modern, there is a beautiful lobby with the sea view. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty and there was wide variety of options to choose from. You can also eat your breakfast on the hotel terrace next to the sea, which was great and we enjoyed that a lot. You can get into the sea directly from the terrace, but it is quite rocky so you need water socks for that. Amount of available sunbeds is great, you can either enjoy yourself on the patio, or another set of sunbeds is also around the pool, which is great for chilling. In case you want a sandy beach, you need to walk a couple of minutes to reach it. I recommend getting the room with the sea view, as the street view is not super pleasant and the road can get a little loud.

The room itself was very humid and there was no solid drying rack for swimsuits and beach towels (only a couple of rooms have a balcony and there was only a small drying rack in the bathroom with very limited space). Proximity to the sandy beach is amazing, but the closest sandy beach is a public beach, so its entry can be quite dirty with a lot of sea algae (to be fair, that is not hotels fault). Also, the rocky entry just in front of the hotel could be improved to easy the entry into the sea. Moreover, it would be nice to provide umbrellas on the terrace of the hotel.

This is a great beach-side hotel. You can walk straight from the really nice sun-lounge area (which has plenty of sun-beds and a great view) onto the beach for a sea swim in beautiful clear waters. The decor is stylish and laid back. The swimming pool is a decent size, and the bar and dining areas are really nice. The rooms were a decent size with great views - this was even the case for the basic room which wasn't advertised as having a sea view, but did in fact have one. I'd probably try and get a room with a balcony next time, but the lack of balcony didn't matter as we were outside so much. It's a 20-30min walk into the historic centre and port of Trapani - we generally took our car (for evening meals, for sightseeing, for a day trip to Favignana) as it's easy and cheap to park in Trapani and parking at the hotel is easy. If you didn't have a car and didn't want to walk, I think you'd have to use a taxi in the late evening as the buses stop at around 8pm. Overall we were all really happy with this hotel - it was even nicer than we expected.

The hotel is right on the beach front and at the end of the promenade. Room decor was excellent, clean and had stunning sea and old town views. Food at restaurant was really good Breakfast was good, several options and fresh. The young lady taking care of the restaurant was Tuesday evening was brilliant, kind and charming.

Nothing to complain about, just one has to bear in mind that there is quite a longish walk to get to the old town centre, that might be a problem for people with mobility issues... but at the end of the day being detached and and away from the hustle and bustle is one of the nice features of this hotel

I stayed there twice, both times in rooms witn a terrace. They were both great, comfortable rooms. Terrace on room 105 is smaller but it is quieter than 106 where you hear the road. So it’s ‘swings and roundabouts’ as the Brits say. The shower is amazing! Bed really comfy. Room small but has everything you need. Cheap minibar. Restaurant was excellent - food at lunch and breakfast was really, really good. Bar prices are reasonable. Service at reception desk was very nice.

Service in breakfast was perfunctory. They don’t greet you unless you greet them first and they don’t show you where to sit, or offer you a coffee etc - they just walk off! Also there’s never enough tables set outside despite the fact that clearly most people want to sit outside because the hotel is literally on the beach. I had to go and get my own place mat and knife and fork. Weird experience.

Stunning seaside location, brand new hotel. Wonderful feel, huge windows looking out to sea. Fantastic restaurant, bar and breakfast all within hotel. Stunning wooden deck on the edge of the sea where you can eat breakfast and dinner. Breakfast buffet was exceptional. Our room had a balcony over the sea - it was amazing. The staff were very helpful and attentive. We will definitely be returning here.

We had a car so this wasn’t a problem, however without one it’s about a 15min walk into the old town. The location was perfect for us. We will definitely return here.

We stayed in the garden terrace sea view room. The room was very comfortable and the view was and balcony was great. The breakfast was very generous with both sweet and savoury options, and coffee made to order. The staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of easy parking around the hotel for free.

we knew when we booked but it is about a 3km walk into the old town which we did do a few times. Hotel will arrange for their private taxi but will not call public taxi but if you travel with a phone that’s not really an issue.

The hotel was modern and very well equipped. It had an amazing view and the beaches were not too far away. Hotel staff is very kind, and the breakfast was nice too!

Sadly people didnt really speak English/foreign languages here which I found weird, since its a hotel and lots of foreigners come here. It made it harder to order any food/coffee and we often had to use the translator to make we understood each other. They were super nice people, but I wish they had spoken English a bit better. The shower is not the best in my op, you really cant shower without getting your hair all wet since the water is coming from above, not practical at all.

A delightful hotel overlooking the sea and beach.Very modern. Loved the breakfast where you can sit inside or out and enjoy the seaview .The breakfast was one of the best I've had in my all my recent hotels,so much choice and very fresh.

I would say the back view of the hotel where the street is does no justice to the hotel so better just not to look at the rundown area but apart from that everything is perfect .There is no carpark but it doesn't really matter as there are always places to park in the street.

This hotel is right on the sea and it was wonderful to hear the waves and look out at the water from our room. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom was large. Breakfast was the best we had in Sicily, nice options and able to serve ourselves. Close to center of town and easy spot to take day trips from. Parking was free and right out front. Front desk staff were very helpful in arranging a taxi and printing out our tickets for the ferry.

Housekeeping staff never gave us brown towels for the beach or cups. There was a funky smell that came from the shower drain that detracted from the enjoyment of the room.

We really enjoyed our brief stay. Hotel is right on the beach with superb views, is nicely decorated (modern), has a great pool, restaurant serves very good food, staff were very helpful, room (great sea view) and bathroom (super shower) were perfect and air con worked fine to keep us cool during the hottest summer ever. It is a 25 minute walk to the old town but that was OK as it helped justify our meals.
