Albergo al Vecchio Tram

It is an interesting, very thoughtfully renovated building very central, short walking distance to the train station and the center. The bed was super comfortable. The room was lovely, a very good renovation. The breakfast area had both indoors and outdoors space, and the breakfast offered many choices. The coffee was excellent. The staff was very kind and helpful. When I came back in the evening, there were rose petals on the floor all along the way, including he lift, maybe they had a couple on honey moon staying! I was born and raised in Udine and I visited to see friends, and the place was very conveniently located. We had dinner at a great restaurant a few minutes walk, Il Marinaio, great local specialities at incredibly affordable prices. I will certainly stay on further visits, [and dine at Il Marinaio too :-)]

One of the reasons I chose the hotel was the spa shower, but the pressure isn’t great, so it isn’t really that exciting, but still good as a shower. Also if you are a portly person, the door to the shower is rather narrow. There is a rail for hanging one’s clothes but I would have preferred a closet, but it is not a big deal, and in a way, it is more hygienic. The lighting was very dim. If you need to do some reading or working at night it is not ideal, but it creates a lovely atmosphere :-)

A lovely hotel with very friendly staff. The breakfast was superb, we ate outside which was nice. The room is a good size and the bed was comfy. There was a/c and really dark curtains. There was safe storage for our bikes and the Ciclovia Alpe-Adria wasnearby. The walk to the city centre is about 10 mins, so we’ll located

The road our bedroom window looked out of was busy but we opened the window in the bathroom which went out to an inner courtyard and the noise level was acceptable then

Al Vecchio Tram is my favorite hotel in Udine. The rooms are quite stylish. The furnishings and hotel terrace have character, and everything has been arranged with much love. The breakfast is just great. And the owners/staff are just wonderful. Being located 5 minutes from Piazza Matteotti, this hotel is as good as it gets.

The owner and staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast had great options with local specialties. Value for price is quite high since a lot is included (bottled water in the room, breakfast with coffee). The rooms were super clean, a kettle and teas were also available. Location was easy to reach from the train station and the old town.

The hotel has a good, central location, within easy walking distance of the town centre. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Public parking across the street (paid). Quiet at night.

We used the rooms for single occupancy, but they seem cramped for two persons. The shower crucible was small and it took me some time to find out how the shower operates.

The staff attitude and cleanliness were excellent. Very good localization. Fast and reliable WiFi.

Got the room on the highest floor, very warm, hard to ventilate. Especially as the air conditioning broke down on the last day.

Everything about this boutique hotel was wonderful. The room was great, nice view down the street but when the windows were closed, there was no noise. The 2 receptionists I met were fantastic as was the generous breakfast. Very clean, lift available to upper floors. Close to everything in Udine and short walk to the train station. Very highly recommended.

Staff could have been more present after the morning. Communication between staff was a little lacking - important details about our stay came only from the person who had the information and when we happened to run into them.

Excellent accommodation in a great position in town. Welcoming and helpful staff. 15 minute walk from train station, or €6 taxi fare to door. Great on site cafe/ bar. Good breakfast. Recommended.
