Hotel Villa Giulia

The staff was very friendly and made me feel like home. The room was nice and the breakfast very good. The location was also very nice, calm but still easy to reach.

The only unpleasant surprise was that on both nights of my stay (thursday-friday) there were wedding parties in the hotel. This meant that the main terrace restaurant with the lovely view to the lake was not available for hotel guests as it was reserved for the wedding parties. The music was really loud too on both nights until midnight (came through earplugs when tried to sleep). I had booked this hotel for relaxing watching the lake views in a calm place, which did not work because of the parties in the hotel. I would have appreciated if the hotel would have told about this in advance.

The hotel is located at a very quiet section of Lake Como in a romantic setting, protected by several beautiful old pine trees. It's a beautiful and well kept old building is tended with lots of love and care by its owners and staff. It featured a splendid breakfast with lots of culinary options. We found the staff as well as the whole facility was more like **** than ***. It is most likely that one star got removed due to the building lacking an elevator. Everything else, including the very classy dinner that we treated ourselves to, was according to **** or even more. The view from the dining room is exceptional and gives you a true romantic holiday feeling!

The room, although really beautifully designed, very comfortable, with a wonderful private terrace and meticulously clean, is slightly cramped for two people. As we don't mind being close, this wasn't a drawback for us. The hotel is on the shady east side of the lake, so a little cold once you step out of the building in winder (we were there in February), but in summer this is most likely to be a great advantage as you will be able to sleep in cool temperatures without applying aircon

Not good value for money. Location at the end of town and by the lake suggests peace and tranquillity. However, during the weekends it is a popular wedding venue so expect lots of people and noise till late at night. It seemed a bit understaffed, as the lady at reception also served breakfast. Besides, they didn’t seems to be able to clean properly between the weddings and the stairs were constantly dirty.

Stunning views, perfect location, parking right on site, away from the crowds but still a short walk from the town of Valmadrera. The villa is beautiful and so well-decorated. The balcony off our room was huge. The breakfast and coffee was delicious! Tons of options including pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit, eggs, bacon, and potatoes. 25 minute drive from Bellagio, but Bellagio felt way too touristy and crowded compared to this beautiful villa and location. We would 100% stay here again if we were going to Lake Como again!

Nothing. It was perfect!

Fantastic boutique hotel. Breakfast was served on the terrace with the incredible view of Lake Como, it was incredible. Our room seemed a little dated in the decor but it was still very beautiful. The beds are hard but as soon as we asked for a topper, it was immediately organised so this made the bed a bit softer. We loved the terrace, loved sitting out there and taking in the view. Thank you for a very memorable stay.

Private free parking, great location to lake Como. However our room was at the very end so the view from the balcony was mostly to the hotel's surrounding trees, the lake was seen somewhere at the furthest left side. The reception staff was very kind and welcoming. Balcony was spacious.

The room was seem to be cleaned, but it turned out the bathroom was not completely cleaned- trash can was not replaced, still old opened shampoo bottles remained from previous user. There are weddings performed on site, supposedly only until the end of Summer. We arrived early October, hardly found parking and the was noises and smells to the room. Breakfast was overall good, bur the pastries were not fresh, omelette was way undercooked.

The location was superb, the staff always helpful and pleasant, the rooms were on the small side but our terrace was large and the bathroom newly renovated. The restaurant food and setting were both excellent 👌

I would have loved a kettle so we could enjoy a cuppa in the glorious mornings on the terrace. The bill was a bit antiquated as hand written and not quite clear in some things.

Beautiful old villa with modern design. Good location. Easy to find. Amazing lake view. Helpful and kind staff. Big terrace. Free parking. Gluten free breakfast option.

Not too clean. There was dust on the terrace table and on the night stand. Not many breakfast options. Very small room. Must pay many attention at the details. This villa is pretending to be a luxurious place. But needs more efforts. Example: tablecloths are hanging from one site of the tables. Overall our experience was good.

This hotel is a dream. The lake side view is straigt from a Bond movie. Allthough the restaurant menu is perhaps not the cheapest one, the high quality food is prepared with fresh local ingredients. It matches the overall ambiance. The hotel is run by a super friendly and competent staff. Makes you feel like royalty. Also nice that you can park your car in front of the entrance! I highly recommend staying here.

The only thing I found missing was an elevator.

The place was beautiful and peaceful. Amazing scenery. Service was impeccable. It is popular for events but the staff did everything to accommodate us. Including a dedicated room for people staying where they could enjoy a meal. Away from the event.

Parking could be difficult during an event.. There is no lift but the staff where able to assist us to get our luggage up to the room on the second floor.
