The flat was very clean and nicely decorated. It was lovely and quiet and somewhat central. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The air conditioning worked well to keep the place nice and cool. It was broken in one bedroom, but they must have known that, as they included a fan (which we used to pull in cold air from the hallway). The bathrooms were updated and well stocked.

The climb up the stairs to the 4th floor (US, 3rd by European standards) was brutal, given the ceilings of each floor must have been 20 feel tall! Especially carrying luggage. The sofas in the family room were very hard and uncomfortable. We couldn't find a drying rack for the clothes.

This place was an old fortress or an old mansion. Absolutely gorgeous. Our room was enormous (there were 3 of us in it). The bathroom was exceptional! There was an “ante-room” outside our room that was 3x the size and also simply beautiful. If you are looking for genuine Venetian living, this place is the place!

This was something we did not mind, but it is a bit far from the train station. We love walking so the one mile or so was perfect for us… but if you want to be right amidst the crowds and rush, this might not be for you. We LOVED it. We loved every bit of it. Literally. And Lorenza was very responsive and helpful every time we tried to reach her.

I loved everything about Ca'Cappellis! The location was perfect, the room was clean, the space was huge and the area was quiet yet within walking distance to everything you'd want to see. The owner gave us excellent direction for how to get to the location. I would suggest using What's App when communicating with him.

This was not a drawback for us but it may be for others - our room was on the 2nd floor which meant we had to carry our luggage up two flights of stairs (wide and beautiful stairs) because there is no lift (elevator)! Also a big issue for many would be the limited access to WIFI. It did not work for us at all but again that was fine because we had alternates.

The location was perfect. Lovely quiet area within easy walk to San Marco and Tourist attractions. The apartment was big enough for two people and had a lovely covered courtyard to get to ground floor apartment. Local restaurants that served delicious food. Very easy to get to from airport.

There was not enough crockery for two people, definitely needs replenishing. Biggest problem was lack of hot water, ran out very quickly definitely not enough for one let alone two people to bath or shower and took ages to reheat again. For this reason only I would not stay again.

The property was stunning. So enjoyed the sitting room with the fabulous chandelier as one passed through to our private room. The decor, terrazzo floors and upholstered pelmets and headboard and comfortable beds were divine! Modern bathroom facilities were fabulous!

The building entry was difficult to find and it might have been on my end but I couldn’t communicate with host. Also, I would have enjoyed being able to turn in the most beautiful Murano(?) glass fixture chandelier. it didn’t appear that the switches were wired to do so. It was still beautiful though!

Great location - it’s no more than 10-12 mins to get to anything in Venice, but just far enough away from the crowds (even now during Carnivale) to keep it peaceful as a retreat from the busy streets. It was quite a nice blend and we would certainly stay again.

We wouldn’t book the same room simply due to climbing 4-5 flights with luggage and multiple times per day. It was simply too much to enjoy at times and I can’t imagine a more mature couple ever attempting to do it.

We were in a newer room on the top floor, and it was smartly designed (although in a more modern style than indicated in most of the pictures of the rooms in the booking.com profile). The host Paola was very friendly and responsive via Whatsapp

There were small features of the room which were odd or seemed unfinished. There were no bedside lights, and the some of the main halogen spotlights in the room shone directly in your face when on the bed. There was no ledge in the shower to put soap etc. Just very little things, but it felt as though the room was not quite finished. It is also listed as a "B&B", but there is no breakfast, which seems cheeky. In general, perhaps slightly overpriced given that you don't get a hotel-style product.

Room was lovely - very large so lots of room for 3 people Bathroom was very modern Very warm The building is beautiful and very central so could walk everywhere Easy to access with directions via WhatsApp on how to get there as well from the train station- there is no reception so we did'nt meet anyone directly while we were there

It was a bit expensive for 2 nights

We chose the Junior Suite which was a great room for a family of 3. Good location. Breakfast was very generous and delivered to our room each morning. Good value for money in an expensive City.

Nothing to dislike. It is an apartment not a hotel so there is no reception etc. Communication was via What's App.
