Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hiroshima

i stayed in several hotels during my round trip in japan and i have to admit that i don't remember the room completely. in fact, this speaks more for the hotel than against it, as i mostly remember the negative things that annoyed me. the daiwa roynet is one of the classic business hotels that in my eyes offer the best value for money in japan. the location was perfect, the streetcar stops right in front of the hotel and the atomic bomb dome is within walking distance. checkin is semi-automatic, as i didn't understand it, a nice lady from the reception assisted me. as with all other reviews i have written about japan, the staff here were sweet as sugar. there is a very good ramen restaurant across the street that only have two dishes on the menu, they know what they do > perfect. i would also return to daiwa roynet without hesitation.

The location was great since it was only a block away from the Peace Bridge and Peace Park. A restaurant is attached, with breakfast a very reasonable 880 yen. The meals are ordered on a machine depending on whether you are paying by cash or credit, but staff are quick to assist and it's quick and efficient. Our room was quite spacious with two double beds, three chairs and a long table. We had a handicap accessible room, so the bathroom was huge with shower controls that were easy to use. The usual kettle, cups and small fridge were in the room as well as a humidifier and a large window that opened. There was also a trouser press, which seems to be standard equipment, slippers and bath robes. Amenities like tea bags, coffee, etc are in the lobby. We arrived 3 hours early and were happy to pay an extra $20 to have access to the room. The staff were very kind and helpful.

It would be great to have the option of a room with a walk-in shower rather than a tub, but we haven't been able to find that anywhere. On the environmental front, there didn't seem to be an option for limited housekeeping, and water bottles were supplied in each room, although the water is perfectly drinkable.

Clean, comfortable and good stay. i would like to compliment your front line service staff name Harada, he have provided me a service that touched my heart and i must say out of the 2 other hotel i have stayed in Japan thus far, this is the best service i have received. Harada have tried his best to provide top notch service to me at the registration counter. I can feel that he is very sincere and want to do his best for all customers. He has a good foundation of English and despite not understanding certain words or phrase that i say, he still try his best for me. He even apologized to me for not being able to check in slightly early and i have to go elsewhere first. He is always full of smile as well. Overall, i am highly satisfied with the service provided by your hotel staff and this is the kind of high standards that customers should be getting. For a tourist like me who love Japan the most, to be getting such high service quality from your staff has gave me a really good impression of your hotel. Very close to a ‘citycar’ stop, and also close to the memorial museum. the beds were comfy and they’ve got everything you need :) airco is nice too. Elevator is very fast, even when you need to go the 13th floor. Check in is earlier than average hotels/hostels. We arrived at 1 and we could store our luggage for a few hours.

there aren’t many extra facilities, just a restaurant downstairs. But apart from that we had a good night stay.

The hotel's location was excellent for seeing the bigger attractions of Hiroshima; the Peace Park, A-Dome, and the Hiroshima Museum were all very close. And to see the Hiroshima castle, there was a tram right out front that came frequently. There staff was friendly and I was able to keep my bag there for the day while I went and explored.

There were three pre-sets and the breakfast I got was not very filling; the scrambled eggs were watery and not very warm.

The location is very good, clean and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The room was very small with a double bed up against a wall so a little bit like camping when getting in and out of bed for the person on that side of the bed. The room measurement given in Booking.com similar to others we have booked through Booking.com while in Japan on this trip but they have all been larger floor space and more acceptable for the prices paid.

The location is the best part, just 10 mins walk from the Peace Memorial and A-bomb dome. They have a traditional Japanese restaurant that is great, the prices are a bit too steep. Staff is very friendly yet professional.

The room size was smaller than expected. The room price was higher for the room soze and general room amenities provided. There was nothing in the hotel apart from the room - no vending machine, no public bath / pool etc.

There are 7/11 conbini across the street as well as a nice restaurant where we had dinner and were amazed by the space. The hotel itself is like 1 minute from tram stop and bus stop. The price was the best we had in Japan during our stay. The room was quite big to the Japanese standards and we were lucky to get a room on the top floor. I wouldn't complain abou anything. Everything met our expectations.

had to pay for additional fees for parking because check-in earlier by 2 hours (on top of the daily parking fees incurred). (but the parking attendant was very apologetic for that).

Well located hotel, very clean and best of all: amazingly attentive staff that helped us really well with sending and receiving luggage. They probably handle such requests daily but the attentive way they handed it deserves a special mention
