The location is excellent, 5 mins away from Keisei Inari and 10 mins from JR Inari stations. From there you can get to Kyoto station in less than 10 mins, so you can use the inn as a home base from where to visit all the Kansai area and beyond! There's a lot of fantastic places to eat nearby, from ramen shops to japanese style burgers. The lodging is great. Sleeping on the tatami floor is comfortable and did wonders for my back. Each room has an AC that can warm up or cool the room really well. There's ACs in the hallway and common areas too. The facilities are great as well. There was a common kitchen on our floor with all the appliances you need. We were able to use it to store and warm up our bento meals in the morning. We stayed on the 3rd floor and only had to share the bathroom and toilet with another room, which wasn't really an issue. The inn has a coin laundry and coin dryer and there's a small balcony on the 3rd floor for smoking and with a small but sufficient drying rack. Overall a fantastic experience. I definitely recommend this place!

Tbh, nothing I didn't like. It was all good. If I ever had any issues e.g. to ask for more towels, I simply used the booking.com app to chat with the staff. They were kind and responded fast.

The location is perfect if you are wanting to really experience Fushimi Inari Shrine. I recommend staying here so that you can visit at night and early in the morning - it is a completely different experience! The shared spaces were calm and private but with a great sense of community, and the rooms were wonderfully authentic. Bathrooms and kitchen were so clean! The staff went above and beyond to help me, as I had personal emergencies that complicated my booking. I am so very grateful for their calm and kind communication and generosity. Despite them not knowing the details of my problem, they really cheered me up :)

Great location, very close to Fushimi Inari, with 2 train stations that lead to other attractions in Kyoto. During our stay in Kyoto, we spent the 1st and 3rd night here, separated by 1 night since we couldn't book. The guest house is very clean and convenient, every facilities are placed in the main hall so we can use them freely. Even though we did not see our hosts, we could figure everything out my ourselves since instructions are clearly written. We could leave our luggages locked in the shared hall and go outside when our rooms are not ready to check in. The room is spacious, our first time sleeping on tatami and it was quite comfy. The first night we were on the 3rd floor and we shared the toilet and bathroom with only 1 another room. The second night we were on the 4th floor and we shared the toilet and bathroom with 2 others rooms. In general, other guests behave well and the shared spaces are clean, we didn't hear a lot of noise from them either.

There should be more instructions about how to turn on the heating and that we should leave them on during the night. We were here late March and we got cold during the nights, especially in the 4th floor since the walls and floors are thin.

Really loved my stay here. I like the design with private rooms but shared kitchen and bathrooms. It was privacy mixed with some social vibe, especially in the nice downstairs common area. I loved having a kitchen on each floor as well - no overcrowding. Everything was extremely clean and the staff were super nice - even allowing me to have mail sent there. Easy connection into other districts via the Keihan line. It really felt like home away from home the few days I was there.

Walls are a bit thin, but people were considerate.

- Amazing helpful staff - self check-in available outside of staffed hours (11-19) - easy access both from Fushimi Inari station and Inari station - water dispenser with hot/cold (good-tasting) water available - kitchen with commodities available on multiple floors - cozy hangout area with tatami mat, fun games and good manga corner (in Japanese) - good amounts of outlets in the room - possibility to lock luggage on your own for self pickup later in the day

- AC on heating option smelled bad in our room (3 beds) - walls were a bit thin but definitely bang for the buck

Very convenient location next to Fushimi Inari, and even though the area isn't very interesting it's incredibly convenient to get anywhere by train, including Osaka. Very comfortable tatami room and great value for money!

Washing machine / dryer are both quite old and seemingly have no changeable settings - so you've just got to hope your clothes will survive whatever temperature and duration they decide on... Also while the downstairs cold water dispenser is great, it should use paper rather than plastic cups if it has to use disposable ones, or it could just use reusable glasses in the kitchen next to it. Otherwise it's a huge waste of plastic, and they don't get recycled!

Location was ideal, a couple of blocks away from the Inari Shrine and Inari Train Station. Everything was automated and properly posted around the whole venue, making it easy to check in and check out.

My room was in the front part of the guest house, so the street noise from vehicles was not pleasant in the middle of the night until morning. Make sure to ask for a room in the back if you can. Make sure you have coins for the coffee, tea, laundy, etc.

Nice hostel in Kyoto near the Fushimi Inari Taisha and the JR train station. On the main floor you have the reception, a community kitchen, dining area, a terrace and a chill out lounge. Almost on every floor you have also a community kitchen. There are smoking areas on the terrace, balcony on the 3rd floor and on the rooftop. You have the option to do the laundry. The rooms are in the Japanese traditional style and the futon beds are quite comfortable. It was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Attentive and very friendly staff! We enjoyed our stay here and recommend this place!

A authentic japanese ryokan with futon and tatami mat. Price/value great and close to Fushimi Inari. The staff provided charging canles which was a nice add-on. Also, free water in the common room. Nice touch!

That the door had a glass area which let light from the common area into the room all night. The rooms are all towards the common room so you hear ppl having breakfast at 6am and coming home at midnight/1am or going to the bathroom. So, if you are a light sleeper or you like it dark, not for you.

Lovely acommodation that allows you to walk Fushimi Inari area at any time and pace without having ti stress to go back to central Kyoti. It also turned out very useful for me who wanted to go to Osaka next day as again, I just took the train from there and avoided the busy Kyoto station. If you sleep lightly, I recommend earplugs as traffic can be heard until late The staff was super helpful and delivered my suitcase to my room on the 4th floor when I told them I might struggle with it. The place has no elevator!
