New Osaka Hotel

The relationship between price and quality had a lot to do with it. I was looking for accommodation for 7 days near the station and it was found. Although the room I got was not wonderful, I gained a lot of time and peace of mind by taking my trains just a few steps from the Shin-Osaka Station. Although it can be a little noisy due to the proximity of its facilities, it does not stop you from sleeping at all. I think you gain more peace of mind knowing that you won't miss your train by having to walk too much. And another thing, you are in Japan, obviously the rooms will be small.

Because the rooms seems to be a little neglected and old, they look dirty (compared to other nearby services). If you see something like this upon arrival, it is better to tell the staff so they can clean it and give you your room a little cleaner.

(1) The big rectangular room - it was so spacious (26m square) that we could have 3 large luggages left open. (2) The rooms (large twin rooms) were very clean, useful and quiet (although the hotel was very very near to the train station). I believed our rooms were recently upgraded as they looked different from the photos shown on booking.com. All furnitures & fixtures seemed pretty new. (3) Its location - less than 3 minutes walk to the Shin-Osaka Shinkansen Station where there were plenty of eateries and shops. There was a 7-Eleven equivalent less than 50m from the hotel too.

(1) The shower water - not sure whether it was from an old storage heater or all Osaka water was like that. Some of us had skin rashes (not too serious) after a few nights. The water looked clear and clean but occasionally had a chemical smell. It just felt like the water in Osaka was not as clean as in Tokyo.

Extremely close to shin-osaka bullet train station (less than 5 mins walk, it literally takes more time to walk from train platform to station exit than from station exit to hotel). Room is spacious with a large table for planning and organizing stuff. Price is budget friendly.

Room has a mini fridge, but it's noisy. I had to turn it off. I did not need to use it so no big deal. Western style breakfast is below average; even airplane meal is better than it. Noise isolation are not great. If you happen to have a noisy neighbor then good luck; but I think a lot of hotels are like that, even for more expensive ones.

Very, very close to Shin-Osaka station. There are two entrances with stairs to the 2nd floor/lobby and up/down escalators from each side. The room is bigger than usual and I was able to spread open my suitcase without trouble. The toilet/bath and bathtub is bigger too. The cleaning staff clean the rooms everyday and provide clean towels. Overall, a great stay.

Excellent location, near to Shin-Osaka station's Central exit. Also very near to exit 7 of Midosuji subway line. Convenience store just below, 15 min walk to their local supermarket. Daily housekeeping, polite staff. Read reviews that it was dated, but I found it great.

Breakfast has to be pre-ordered the day before. Bed can be a bit more firm, but it's still very comfortable.

The hotel is very close to the Shin Osaka station. The room was big for Japanese standards. The tub/shower area was large and the auto flushing toilet was awesome.

The sofa was old and if you sat on it, you practically sank to the floor. The bathroom had no counter space to leave any of my toiletries. There was also no towel racks in the bathroom area, which should be added.

Large modern hotel. Room had plenty of space with 4 beds fitted easily. Comfortable lounge area and restaurant attached. Very short walk from Shin-Osaka station. Very friendly staff, willing to help in any way.

Staff spoke minimal English but to be expected, easily managed by translate app when needed. A bit further from Osaka station and main nightlife/shopping area like Dotoburi but easy to catch train from nearby Shin-Osaka station.

very close to shin Osaka station, very nice Japanese set breakfast, able to get a western style room for the daughters right next to a Japanese style one for us parents

vibe was more business feeling. very hard to get to at first - we could see it from the station but couldn’t figure out how to get out of station the right way. Easy once we knew the trick (go down to ground level)

The staff was knowledgeable, patient, helpful, and very friendly. They made us feel like Osaka was our second home. The breakfast was OUTSTANDING. Room was charming, quiet, and clean. We were right next to Shin-Osaka train station and a number of nice eateries. We will definitely stay here next time.

It was literally 1 min away from exit 7 of the Shin Osaka subway line! Amazing location to explore Osaka if you were planning to catch the Shinkansen to another city after.

The room was small, and a little dated. the only window does not open and there is no air conditioning so the ventilation is a little poor. There was a hint of cigarette smoke smell everywhere.
