Hotel Boutique Rivera Del Rio

Loved how unique the hotel is. Each room is it's own character. We stayed in the Candalaria room (the pink room.) It has three levels. The top level has the kitchen and your own private patio that is adjacent to the green pool. It was so relaxing! The main floor has the bedroom and bathroom. There is an extra stairway that leads directly to the street "behind" the hotel-this is actually the main street you use to go everywhere. The front on the hotel is on a tiny street right on the river. The hotel is located close to everything, but far enough away to not be disturbed by street/tourist/party noise (and our room is right on the street!) There is an adults-only, heated infinitity pool and bar on the top floor with beautiful views. There is also a hot tub right above our room. It is not very hot, but it has beautiful vies and it very relaxing. We purchased breakfast one day we were there, and it was good, but I recommend exploring the neighborhood and trying a variety of things. You are close to a ton of more local things since it's several blocks from the main tourist drag. This is a great place for couples. Although it is kid friendly, it's not ideal for really small children. If you have mobility issues, check with them first to see which rooms would be best for you-our's wouldn't work because of all the stairs. The staff was all very friendly and welcoming. They always went above and beyond. Now for the best part-lobby cats! Elizabeth was always in her throne and allowed pets from guests. Such a chill kitty!

The plumbing was pretty noisy. I sleep with headphones and my husband passed out from exhaust every night, so it really didn't effect us. We would stay there again in a heart beat.

Cutest boutique hotel one could imagine! I love all of the huge hot tubs and pools on nearly every level of the property! Breakfast was wonderful and not the usual “continental” that big box hotels serve. Rooms were uniquely decorated. I only wish I could have toured every one! We stayed in the original room with a massive claw foot tub/shower combination. The use of the tub/shower was my only complaint because it didn’t have enough water pressure for it to work properly. Otherwise, I highly recommend this hotel, as it was one of the highlights of our trip!

The humans at this business are all so kind and caring. They made our stay feel like home. Elizabeth the cat lazes around the ground floor and we enjoyed her presence. The pictures of the pool areas don't actually do it justice. The rooftop pool and view are incredible. The host gave us 2 tickets for a welcome margarita upstairs and as we got to the top floor and laid on the loungers it felt like a vacation had just begun. Scarlett Room was all we needed for a comfortable home base. The rooms are super unique and the highlight for Scarlett room is the private patio 👌

Absolutely loved the charm and history of this gem! The staff were very welcoming and so helpful during our entire stay. Each room has its own name and unique character. The beds were very cozy, not too hard or soft. Our view of Gringo Gulch and the ocean was amazing. I loved hearing the many birds in this very quiet and peaceful part of town. We especially enjoyed the infinity pool next to the rooftop cabana where Jerry took great care of us. I would definitely stay here again!

Nothing at all!

Everything was so wonderfull and impressive in this great property with its deep history that I would say STAY THERE if you have the chance. Choose the Silver Room if possible you will enjoy it. Great view from the room and terrace on the roof. Nice bed that you don't want to leave :) Clean and comfortable in all the ways. Magnificent service and communication, - they do what few properties can do. They create a special welcoming, warming atmosphere and you feel being a dear guest visiting your family faraway from your home. It's amazing how they do it! I feel so grateful to all the team of the hotel for my excellent stay in PVR. Highly recommend and will be happy come back.

There are some like in every property on the Earth. But doesn't worth description. As the hotel is really great for its comfort and service.

Romantic, beautiful ,interesting history of the building itself. Very friendly staff, and cute cats in residence. The infinity pool is beautiful and open 24/7. It's nice and quiet away from the partiers but you can walk to the beach via the Isla in about 15-18 min depending on how slow you meander. Soco nearby for breakfast, the pancakes are surprisingly good.

I wish there were shade umbrellas by the hot tub. The view is beautiful and would be nice to just watch the sunset from the seats (or tub) but it's nuclear hot without any shade, even at that hour.

Breakfast was great with friendly service. Unique dining area with lots of antiques and art. Our favorite space was the table on the balcony overlooking the river The staff were knowledgeable and helpful and very responsive to our questions/needs. We had the Madusa room and it was delightful. Large, with fabulous views of the old part of town. The 2 pools were also fabulous and we spent a lot of time in them. Short walk to beaches. Very short walk to cultural center and marketplace. We felt pretty safe in the whole area.

There is definitely construction going on but it is what it is. There had been some damage from a previous storm and there is also upgrading/remodeling going on. It was bearable ...

The hotel is amazing! it's such an experience in itself - the room, the pools, the decor! Grant was a wonderful help guiding our dining experiences. Didn't have a bad recommendation Jerry took such god care with our cocktails and snacks when we lounged by the pool escaping the heat. The breakfast was amazing (when we made it) and the location was perfect. We felt like a locals and away from the hustle of the crowded beaches

The internet was a little slow but we weren't in PV for the Wifi.

Quirky decor. Every room is different. We stayed in the beautiful Josephine and also the quirky dungeon of Candelaria and loved both. Great rooftop pool on the 7th floor, with view of the hill and the sea. Quiet area, walkable to old town and the happening area of Zona Romantica. Next to a lush river bank, and we enjoyed watching the iguanas in the morning. I booked for the 2 cats on staff: Elizabeth and Francesca but were surprised to find the humans were amazing too: Mario, Ivan and Carolina with their openness and helpfulness made our stay special. Thank you!

Great walkable location. Close to lots of great places to explore and eat. Lots to see in the area. Hotel is very charming. Beds were very comfortable. Great drinks and view on the rooftop! Staff were very friendly and responsive.

Unfortunately we didn’t give top marks for facilities as our AC didn’t work well our first night. Staff were amazing and dealt with the problem the next day. In the end we did move to a different room, but we liked both rooms.
